First of all, shadow dose have lots of weapons and he has the strongest connection with the chaos force available to anyone plus, in the comics it is confirimed that his power level is up to the ranks of gods. He is stronger then mephilis on his own and with chaos emeralds stronger then solaris. Not even all seven just five. Something else:he can fly has teleportation and he can lift five hundreds pounds. Also he has inhiboter rings.

Shadows cool! He has a gun, mysterious, calm, brave. Although he's not much of a social type is say he deserves to be first are second best.

The best Sonic character, but was much, much better when he was still in the role of mystical yet mighty Guardian; not the stereotypical "muscle-man twit" he's gradually become since the late 90s.

Miles "Tails" Prower is a fictional character in Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is Sonic's best friend and sidekick. Tails is known for his ability to fly using his two tails like a helicopter rotor.

Finally... Tails above Sonic himself, by over twice the votes. I love this kid. He's only 8 years old, but he can design and build a fully functioning aircraft? Take that, Blue Buffoon. And he can fly. And he's cute as heck. I really love him for his personality, though. He's really kind and caring, and just sweet all around. He has a sort of "inverse charm", where the fact that he doesn't do great at impressing people makes him more likable. If he was real, he'd be my best friend.

Metal Sonic is the one recurring villain who can top Sonic off his own power. Shadow uses Chaos abilities and Silver used glitches to beat Sonic, and they're only rivals. Mephiles was retconned out of existence and therefore doesn't count. Metal Sonic's wide range of attacks also helps him climb the ranks, for example, electrokinesis, chest lasers, the V. Max Overdrive, shapeshifting and skill copying. Not to mention he blows himself up by commanding a lightning bolt to blow himself to bits, then rebuild himself into the Metal Madness and the Metal Overlord, which went down only after EVERYONE had to fight him. He survives all this and still soldiers on, fighting Sonic again in later games, staying as a villain whilst others become friendly rivals. And last, but not least, he isn't an emo with a gun.
