Top 10 Greatest Sonic the Hedgehog Characters
Sonic is the most heroic main character I have ever seen in my life (so far). He is funny but compassionate, extremely powerful but he knows his limits, and he is all around just awesome. Don't get me wrong, I love Shadow, Silver, and Scourge; I just think that Sonic has the qualities that make him the best out of them. Sonic is slightly faster than Shadow, which gives him the power to beat him in battles. Sonic is smarter than Silver, which allows him to win battles with the time traveler. And as for Scourge- well they're equal. But Sonic is more kind, which somehow weakens Scourge's spirit. Although Shadow and Silver are now friends with Sonic (in both video games and comics), I come out liking the blue hedgehog the most because he just seems the most good. Also, I find his trash talking and high spirits just awesome.
No one is a real sonic the hedgehog fan if they don't like Sonic. I mean come on he is the fastest character in the game so if he is facing knuckles he would beat him up in a second just like when emerl used sonic's moves to defeat Knuckles in the sonic x series. Sonic defeated Shadow many times in the games like in Sonic generations. Don't get me wrong. I like All the characters on this list but Sonic will always be the 1st in my mind. People are starting to like Shadow and Silver more than Sonic, So that's why I think they made Sonic the only playable character in Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colors, and in Sonic generations and I think they should create a new gameplay for Sonic. So stop making Sonic look lame and boring and putting Shadow and Silver in the front.
Sonic is definitely the best character! Without him, all the Shadow fans wouldn't even have Shadow. He has a likable attitude, a great outlook on life and will do everything he can to help people. He's also better because he doesn't have a whole bunch of powers. He just uses his wit and his speed. And unlike Shadow who seems to be perfect, Sonic has flaws. He doesn't think things through all the time and makes mistakes. After realizing his errors, he fixes them and has fun while doing it. Then he makes friends wherever he goes. His attitude and willingness to help and protect easily gives him an atmosphere that people want to be around. He isn't uptight and is an all-around, fun-loving, adventurous, caring, great guy!
From the 2-D greatness of the genesis days to the awesome 3-D running, gliding, and shooting, finally to the freaky fast paced boost action of today, Sonic has always been my favorite franchise. One of the greatest parts of the franchise has been the huge cast of memorable characters. While we have cool characters like Shadow and Knuckles (who, sadly, have been reduced to mere side characters/fan service) my favorite would have to be Sonic. Besides being the titular character, his cocky and confident attitude, as well as his trademark super speed, will always stand out as a big part of Sonic games (minus the more recent games, where the simplistic, bland plots and humor-oriented dialogue are clearly targeting a much younger audience). May the hedgehog we all know and love live a long and (hopefully) prosperous life!
I feel like Shadow gets made fun of a lot, and this is probably mostly due to the fact that the game with his namesake is the one that most people seem to take his personality from, even though it seems to portray him in an out-of-character light.
In truth, Shadow has a lot of character depth. Even if he doesn't really care that much about most people, Shadow was still willing to keep his promise to the one person that meant the world to him; Maria. Shadow is the type of person to make a promise and indefinitely keep it- even if it could get him hurt in the end.
Not only this, but Shadow's interactions with Rouge are honestly wonderful. (Take the scene were Rouge promises to always stay by his side, for instance.) His loyalty to those few people that he truly cares for is what makes me like him even more as a character.
While Shadow may not say it and may be a little bit edgy on the surface, deep down, he is a caring and vulnerable guy.
"I'm the coolest." Sonic may be the main character, but Shadow's appearance and personality is what made me like him more. He is more powerful and just as fast as Sonic. In addition, he is a master of Chaos powers while Sonic only knows the basics. Shadow is also more skilled with firearms than Sonic (Sonic refuses to even touch firearms). There is a reason Shadow is called the "Ultimate Life Form". His game may suck, but his character still rocks. Honestly, he definitely should be #1.
Shadow is better than Sonic in almost every respect because: 1. Sonic cannot fly, while Shadow can because of his shoes. 2. Sonic stated that he would never touch firearms, but Shadow will shoot someone without a second thought. 3. Sonic may be the fastest thing alive, but Shadow can go far faster using his shoes and Chaos Control. 4. Sonic will die eventually (although it may be a few centuries due to Sega's aging system), but Shadow is immortal. 5. Sonic may have been created first in real life, but in the games, Shadow was created around 34 years before Sonic was born, making Sonic the faker. 6. Sonic's friends are an underage fox and a gullible anteater, whereas Shadow's friends are a sexy spy/professional thief and an awesome destruction-loving robot. 7. Sonic's quills turn up when he goes super, but Shadow's are already so cool that they look the same both ways. 8. Sonic is not badass, and Shadow most certainly is. 9. While there is nothing wrong with liking Sonic, liking Shadow ...more
The reason why Shadow is cooler than Silver is that Silver fans try so hard to prove that Silver is cooler when the only thing Shadow fans have to say is that Shadow is ' Bad-ass. Enough' said. If Shadow could beat every other Sonic character Shadow would just kill everyone and who in the world wants that? Our world may be messed up but not THAT messed up. Oh and correction for you Silver Fans Silver: Last Hedgehog to fly, if he's from the future, then he wouldn't be the first one to fly. If Shadow's Actor's voice sucks, tell that to the actor. Plus that's probably just to either show how cool shadow is in comparison or to show how awesome shadow can be even with a bad voice I'm not sure because I haven't heard yet so I am just assuming. Another thing, Silver may be able to stop chaos power but Silver will never beat the Epicly Cool Awesomeness of Shadow.
He's just… the best character. He's sweet and cute and smart, and he's funny and he's Sonic's best friend! Like, imagine being Tails. You're 8 years old. You're smart and cute. Your best friend (and in some iterations, roommate) is a fifteen year old superhero. You have a plane. You are the coolest mf on the playground. The other 8 year olds all wish they were you
My personal favourite character from the franchise and of all-time, and I know that a lot of people like him a lot as well, in my opinion, Tails's flaws to his personality are nonexistent. Sure, in Sonic Boom, some of his inventions go haywire through Eggman's doing, but he's a mechanic, Sonic's sidekick, a plane pilot and the smartest character out of all of them at just eight years old! Not only that, but he himself is inspiring. I remember writing a fact file about myself and I actually put Tails as one of my inspirations. Tails will always be the best video game character around for me and I hope that you all agree!
Now - I can understand the fact that Shadow is number one, Sonic is number two and my favorite character Tails is number three, but, I can't understand why SEGA would mess up his character in the future games while making him "normal" in Sonic BOOM which wasn't the worst show out there, Sonic Underground was.
And this Gellert Grindelwald like fox wasn't good enough for them...
Well, I still like him.
I'll always like him.
Also... BOOM Sonic cheated in that bet with BOOM Tails and doesn't deserve a friend like him who is willing to stick by his side no matter what.
Heck, the team behind Sonic BOOM lied to the viewers of the episode by making the bet between him and Egg-man and it was actually between him and Sonic, liars.
Shadow only got the number one spot because the fans liked the fact that he was hedgy while Sonic is the main character, the poster boy of the series.
Tails on the other hand might end up becoming another Egg-man in the aftermath once the smoke ...more
Imagine if there were Archie Mario comic issues such as "Peach vs. Daisy: Friends No More! " that rip off "Sonic vs. Tails: Friends No More! " Where Princess Daisy owns Princess Peach in a similar fashion to how Tails owned Sonic.
Usher Terry Raymond IV as Sonic
MatPat as Tails
Ray William Johnson as Knuckles
Emily Deschanel as Amy Rose
Jim Carrey as Dr. Eggman
Vin Diesel as Shadow
Tina Fey as Rouge
Alicia Keys as Blaze
Shane Dawson as Silver
Princess Peach's high, girlish voice makes me cringe all the time. Princess Daisy's annoyingly unforgiving "HI, I'M DAISY! " voice gives me nightmares and is 100% miscast.
Sonic & Tails are great, though!
He's always been my favorite Sonic character. This guy is AWESOME! He stated out as an anti-hero in Sonic 3. One day Super Sonic was just flying around being all cool and stuff and BAM a red echidna named Knuckles hits Super Sonic so hard that it knocks the Chaos Emeralds out of him! Then Knuckles steals all of the emeralds! It's up to Sonic and Tails to get them back! Eventually Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles realize they have one common enemy, Eggman. By this time, Sonic had gotten all of the emeralds back. Now Sonic and Knuckles team up! Sonic actually gives the emeralds to Knuckles so he can start collecting the Super Emeralds! These emeralds are much stronger than the Chaos Emeralds. Then Sonic gets the Super Emeralds and becomes HYPER SONIC! Sonic defeats Eggman and the world is saved! But that is besides the point. Remember the beginning Super Sonic is supposed to be invincible, BUT Knuckles hit Super Sonic SO HARD that it knocks the emeralds out of him! Knuckles is SUPER STRONG! ...more
Ah my favorite sonic character, standing next to silver. You have stayed a consistently good character, until sonic boom happened. But luckily that's just a different universe. I like knuckles because of his NORMAL personality. Inthink we can all agree with that. I also think that in both comics and games he's been a cool character, although the dude seems to have a ton of time not guarding he master emerald. Also I think he's sonics best rival, better then silver or shadow. They share things in common sure, but they also have their fair share of differences. He's just a really good character in the sonic universe. Also I'm not gonna be a cop out and pick sonic himself, that doesn't feel right. So I picked knuckles.
Knuckles sure is similar to Rosalina in many ways! Here's the 20 reasons why!
1: they both are top 4 on their "Top 10 Greatest Characters (in their respective franchises) List" since a long time.
2: Both are strong.
3: Both are tough.
4: Both can get hilarious.
5: Both & persistent.
6: Both have big asses nowadays.
7: Both have (close to extremely) long, unique hairstyles.
8: Both are tough enough to take hard knocks.
9: Both are highly smart.
10: Both are extremely cute.
11: Both usually stick to their respective color affinities.
12: Both are forgotten characters sometimes (most likely Rosalina).
13: Both are well-liked.
14: Both are well-known.
15: Both could be 3rd players in gangs.
16: Both are persistent.
17: Both seldom wear their hair up.
18: Both are sexy.
19: Both are mysterious (most especially Rosalina).
20: Both face their ...more
Knuckles is just awesome and he may get pissed off sometimes but in the end, he will stay loyal to U. Knuckles is selfless and saves people, even if they are a villain, even if its someone he doesn't like. Knuckles is very forgiving and beleives there is good in everyone so he is not an idiot and you can stop calling him that because he is smart. As the only surviving member of the Echidna Tribe, his duty is to protect the Master Emerald. Locke, Tikal and many others were members of the Echidna Tribe. Plus, he is Sonic's first rival and is able to use chaos control. Knuckles is the strongest thing alive and is a master at gliding.
Silver is phenomenal character. First of all, his design is unique for a male hedgehog - he looks much different from Sonic and Shadow. Silver's character is also very uncertain yet righteous. He actually takes time to rethink his actions in Sonic '06 and is very introspective because of this. He certainly wants justice and will fight evil with a slightly cocky, condescending, brave facade over his sensitive, insecure, and lonely heart. Unfortunately, most people probably only took notice of this facade (e.g. "It's no use! ") and labeled poor Silver as a annoying character. But, Silver is also a good friend. He has truly developed a friendship with Blaze and would never want her to leave his side; he would probably sacrifice his own life for her even though he would fight his emotions to do so. Silver is also very uniquely gifted with the talent of telekinesis/psychokinesis which expresses his mental capabilities. Although Silver is naive, he seems like he could overcome this because ...more
Silver is one of the most sweetest characters, which his innocent and sometimes clumsy personality, and his strong want to do what's right. Silver has always gotten hate for the actions of Sega on account of 06, and until he gets his own game, I think he will continue to get hate. But I've never disliked him. In fact, I've always LOVED him. His big, loving heart makes him irresistible, and the awesomeness don't stop there.
Silver the Hedgehog has some of the coolest powers, and in the IDW comics, he's one of the main heroes in the Metal Virus Saga. I mean, he will always be a big hero to me, but they did him good in the comics.
I'd like to see more of him and Blaze interact. Their relationship is so blissfully awkward and sweet (Team Sonic Racing) that it is impossible not to ship them!
Anyways, stop bashing him! Silver deserves more than this!
Let's take a minute to admire just how strong Silver the Hedgehog is.
Physically: physiological powers=Epic! He's powers are really neat. Speed is perfect for Sonic and Shadows chaos control is his own thing, but this fits great for Silver. He's very precise and smart with how he manages his powers, and I think that makes him a very valuable in battle.
Mentally: born in a broken world? Check. Most likely an orphan his whole life? Check. Stayed strong and fought when no one else would? Check. Silver cared deeply about keeping hope alive for the future, and that alone makes him very strong, for being the one person in his future to stand up. To actually put in the effort.
He gets a lot of hate for being amazing.
Personally, Silver is my favorite character from the Sonic franchise. His unique personality gave light to the underdeveloped Sonic '06 while also providing fun gameplay. Many anti-silver fans dislike him only because he is new. Yes, Silver is immature, occasionally bratty, and naive. Yet, in his heart he is a righteous character with a strong sense of justice. Personally, I believe his character flaws create a more complete character, somewhat relatable even. While telekinesis isn't a particularly original idea Silver pulls it off in a new, unique, fresh way simply because of his personality giving him a somewhat unlikely aura for a telekinetic character. Sometimes for a character to be good, giving them less than perfect personalities can be the key. In the case of Silver the Hedgehog, this stands true.
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about, the contrasts to Sonic's stage music in the soundtrack. Blaze's themes have a bit of a more summery and tropical feel, with her theme in Night Carnival sounding like a Brazilian Carnival celebration, Huge Crisis's theme with added bongo drums and Mirage Road's theme sounding like a 2000s Caribbean dancehall tune. It's the minor changes in the stage themes that adds to Blaze's stages that make it different to Sonic's.
It was really close between Blaze and Tails, but Blaze just barely wins. The fact that she initially starts out as a loner, yet eventually she learns about having friends in people like Cream, Marine, and especially Sonic really shows that she knows that she can trust others, even if she doesn't want it. This is due to the fact that she is the guardian of the Sol Emeralds, which are the polar opposite of the Chaos Emeralds. Having the power to control flames, as well as having a fear of heights show that Blaze has her strengths and weaknesses. This makes Blaze one of the most interesting characters in the Sonic series.
I don't know why a lot of stages she's in in Sonic Rush has music that has bongo drums and island rhythms. Is it supposed to predict the sequel to this game? Because Blaze does have a good taste in Latin/Caribbean music.
I love Blaze she's actually my favorite female Sonic character with Amy as a close second! Her character development from a loner to what she is now was fantastic.
Doctor Eggman is a mechanical genius. He is only bettered by Tails in IQ and he's so funny in Sonic Boom as well! Forget all them people who say that Bowser is better, in my opinion, only Doctor Neo Cortex from the Crash Bandicoot series and Bowser Junior are better villains then Eggman, and I love the names that Sonic calls him as well, it's so funny! Eggman is actually really underrated. He doesn't deserve to be tenth, he deserves to be sixth. Ahead of him is Tails at first, then Sonic, the Amy edging it over Shadow, then Sticks, then Eggman. He shouldn't be insulted by being put under Rouge and Metal Sonic.
I believe that he should be number four, or even three, perhaps five, as unlike many of the other characters, the latest games haven't characterized him as some helpless person that needs someone to guide them. Certainly, he may have some bad lines here and there, but overall, most of them did do somewhat good, and half the time, he didn't sound like an idiot, as this certain character has a lot of potential.
Okay... first of all, Eggman is one of the best characters ever! I was shocked when I first visited this site to see that Eggman wasn't in the top ten! Shame on you people! If it weren't for Eggman, Sonic the hedgehog would suck! (no offense, but Eggman is what makes Sonic the hedgehog pure awesomeness! )
3 reasons why Eggman is fabulous:
1. he is super smart! Who else has an IQ of 300 and builds destructive robot armies?
2. he is the main villain, therefore, should be one of the most popular characters in the series!
3. he is hillarious! The funniest thing is how he got his name from the shape of his stomache! Haha laugh out loud
How can this guy NOT be more popular? It's moronic to even think. The doctor was created alongside Sonic. He's the cause of nearly every video game's events. Just because he isn't furry doesn't make him a poor character. Quite honestly, how in the bloody hell can a super transformation snag a place above the doctor? Or Metal Sonic?
He's the damn Eggman.
Okay, first of all, why is she so low on the list? But that is not the real reason I came here. I came here to discuss why she wasn't even in Sonic 2! I mean, why? She is a character, just like everyone else! Why should she matter less? Why should she be discluded in a movie I think she would be amazing in? She could be a hero, but now, I guess not.
PS: I throughout the whole movie, had my hopes up that she would step in sometime, and especially at the end of the movie, when they introduced Shadow, I so thought it would be Amy. A completely awful decision NOT to include her, I'm just saying.
Amy is definitely the most underrated video game character that I've ever seen! Whenever I look at lists for Top Ten Sonic characters, it's always that my other favorites Tails and Sonic are really high up, but Amy stays around the eighth or ninth spot! I saw that in my last top ten and was absolutely outraged! Amy is probably one of four characters that I liked the most at a stage. The others were Tails, Luigi and group boss Nikki, Lindsey & Ginny from Luigi's Mansion 3, but I digress. I think that Amy is one of the best characters of all-time, and I don't see how other people don't see that as well as I do.
Amy Rose has to be my favorite character. Many say she's obsessive, one-dimensional, and crazy, but I think otherwise. Amy is a character who represents hope and optimism. She represents perseverance and friendship. I feel as if Amy is underappreciated, and that her character has backpedaled throughout the games. Why? Amy was shown to be a Sonic-crazy, yet very passionate about her beliefs (even if they contradicted Sonic's) in the adventure series. Her character kind of took a step back in later games. The gag of her chasing and/or beating others/Sonic was dragged on too much, thus that being her only iconic trait, which I find unfair. Much like what happened to Knuckles (him getting dumber and dumber) has happened to Amy (her getting more and more obsessive). As of now, we haven't had a legit Sonic game for 5 years (although we do have Sonic Boon which has given Amy a much more proper way of dealing with her crush). Project 2017 is coming out next year, and if Amy IS in the game, I ...more
A lot of people fail to see the good within Amy Rose. People only see her as annoying, obsessive, stalker-ish. Yes, they may be somewhat true, but I don't think people are seeing what that represents. Sega created Amy to represent all the crazy fangirls out there, and that in itself is pretty funny. Amy isn't doesn't JUST have those negative traits listed above. She's kind, optimistic, funny, caring, quirky, and overall just sweet. In the Archie comics, Sonic and Sally were together. Did Amy go ballistic crazy and try to break them up? No, she respected Sonic's decision and said "I believe that we'll be together one day, but for now I just want him to be happy", or something along those lines. I just overall love Amy Rose
Metal Sonic is the PERFECT rival to Sonic and way better than Shadow could ever be. He's got all of Sonic's abilities plus more and can even go faster than him and his overall design is menacing.
Metal is the only recurring true enemy that has almost beaten Sonic several times, and holds a wide array of his own weaponry, such as a chest-mounted laser, electrokinesis, shapeshifting and the ability to copy other characters' moves and attacks, not to mention he rebuilds himself into Neo Metal Sonic, and blows himself up to become Metal Madness and the Metal Overlord. He also is one of the strongest characters in the series, being able to destroy sets of spikes by simply floating into them. Ironically enough, he is the hardest boss in Sonic CD but is not fought like a boss, he is instead raced.
Villain that isn't afraid to kill in a kid's franchise, he's actually powerful enough to defeat sonic and pretty much the whole cast, he copies abilities so if anyone does beat him he can overcome defeat, one of the first characters in the franchise (meet him at rhe same scene as amy! ). I don't understand why he isn't more popular, other than because he hasn't been featured in a game for a while and kids haven't played games with him in it. Although, to be honest, I wouldn't want my favourite villain in a game in the future as all their games seem to suck now.
Metal was created to be better than Sonic in almost every way, and was a complete success on Dr. Robotnik/Eggman's part. Out of the Mecha Sonic series which includes Silver Sonics Mark 1+Mark 2, Metal Sonic 1.0, Mecha Sonic, Metal Sonic 2.0 and Metal Sonic 3.0(Comics exclusive). In whatever canon the Metal Sonic we know now (Metal Sonics 1.0 and 2.0) is the most powerful one in the series, both in the comics and games. Best invention Robotnik/Eggman has ever made hands down.
I can see why sonic places first, OBVIOUSLY, but my favorite character is rouge the bat, and I'm glad that she made it to the top 10. What did it for me was her character in sonic x, in which she was a sassy, seductive, smooth-talking badass that took away from the dark atmosphere of the show. She was certainly one of my favorite comic relief characters of all time. I like her in the games too, retaining the same qualities that she had in the show. I love who voices her and I just love everything about her. You have my vote Rouge!
Remember Knuckles' and Rouge's themes in SA2 and how different they were? I mean, Knuckles' themes in his stages are hardcore gangsta rap, courtesy of Mr. "Emerools", while Rouge's themes in her stages are smooth, sexy jazz and R&B. It's almost as if Mariah Carey or 112 is singing the themes in her stages, it's that early-2000s sounding. I just so happen to like both Knuckles and Rouge, but the themes for both characters are so awesome. It's like they actually kept with the times when the game came out and let it stick.
She's Number 9?! Only number 9?! Rouge is so much better than most of the characters above her, especially Sonic. She's beautiful, skilled, and has a lot of personality. She doesn't give a crap about how dangerous something is. And she isn't afraid of jumping headfirst into a fight. She doesn't care what she does like kissing Tails, flirting with her enemies, making fun of characters, and even becoming a spy. She has to be in the top 3 at least.
Rouge, to me at least, is the best sonic character EVER CREATED! If Sega tried to make someone better than Rouge, they would miserably fail, because she is the BEST! There's everything to love about her: her looks, her personality, her overall sexiness, and obviously, her coolness. She deserves her rightful place in the top 3. Also, I think she's better than even SHADOW. Yup, I just said that.
I have many favourite Sonic characters, including some higher up on this list, but Espio gets my vote! He encapsulates so many of the traits of other beloved characters in one extremely cool and unique style. He deserves way more love than he gets and it saddens me that him (and the chaotix, though not so much Vector because he has remained popular) have been present less and less in recent Sonic media. He's the only chameleon there is and what an amazing one to have! Who doesn't love a ninja?
Espio is an amazing ninja chameleon who shoots loads of things from his sleeves. He is my favorite character off everything. It inspired me to like sonic the hedgehog and is on my favorite game Sonic Heroes for the ps2. I think that his speed matches Sonics speed. He can turn invisible and is a member of Team Choatix with Vector and Charmy.
Espio is my favorite. He got so many unique styles. He's a Ninja Chameleon. Who doesn't like Ninja Chameleons? Also I don't agree with Shadow at #1. He is completely over rated. I knows all you Shadow fanboys will give this comment a bad rating but this is Shadow:
SONIC WITH HOVER SHOES AND BLACK AND RED SKIN! What's the point? Everyone talks about his special power of Chaos Control. Did you play Sonic Adventure 2? Sonic did it too! All this can mean anyway is you started playing Sonic after Sonic Adventure 2 came out. Sonic is way better than Shadow but Shadow is over rated by everyone. He isn't original. He's came out of a copy machine. But anyway Espio is my favorite.
Espio is the best sonic Character. He can turn invisible, which helps him to pound anybody who gets in his way. He is also a good fighter! I think in one of the sonic X episodes, Espio was fighting a bunch of goons while Vector and Charmy hid behind a wall.
vector is a cool crocodile and I like his strength and he is the strongest in the group In my opinion he is stronger then charmy and Espio.
This music-loving, short-tempered crocodile with one of the most unique designs of the Sonic universe may seem to be solely after the money sometimes, but Vector has proven several times to be a real capable detective who will always help those in need for free. Thus, his detective agency is constantly short on money, but he is the only member of his team to worry about the rent and will take any job to pay off his debts. However, he is a generally optimistic and kind of childish character and enjoys hanging out out with his friend. He performs as the lead singer of his own band, which contains just the same members as his detective team, and believes to have a great singing voice, although it is rather destructive than enjoyable.
In my opinion, he has both an awesome design and an unique personality. Although the underdog of the franchise, he enjoys investigating way too much to give up his agency and gets behind secrets before anyone else does.
I absolutely LOVE Vector the Crocodile. He is, in my opinion, the Best Sonic Character of all time. Out of all of the Sonic characters in the Games, Comics and T.V. Shows, he takes the number one spot.
The reason I like him so much is that he can look menacing but in reality, he's just a big softie. I also love the fact that he's a detective and that he's willing to help anyone in need. There are just so many things that make him my favourite, but it would be a very long list.
I hope that he gets paid more and get his Vanilla bun.
Ah, Vector, where do I start with you? Whenever he completes a job, he sometimes refuses to get paid because he thinks that helping people is reward enough and I think that's brilliant. My favourite animals are crocodiles and he has the best Modern design.
He needs to have some development away from Espio and Charmy and I would love to see him as a playable character again. I also find that he gets the worst treatment in the franchise.
To tell the truth I really hate what the fans have done with her character, I'm looking at you Tails and Sonic Pals (if you couldn't tell I'm angry) Tails is meant to be a genius and Cream wasn't meant to be this dislikable - Cheeses is another story, he made me want to blow up a chao garden.
Cream wasn't meant to be this dislikeable and I understand that perfectly well despite her being against the way Tails and Sonic Pals wrote her character alongside Tails, Amy, Cheese, Wave and all of the other characters Bulma Bunny has voiced on the channel.
Tailsko and Sonica were alright low, I'm still annoyed by their actions.
I swear Cream is only likable when she is tied with her mother Vanilla, I'm still angry.
SEGA should get Cream to be Tails top tier number 1 apprentice so they will work together and hang out more because that would be fantastic and brilliant, change her age to 7 and give her a chance to start all over again but keep her sweet and helpful personality. Cream is really super brave and heroic she would do whatever it takes do get the job done, without breaking a sweat. Her voice sounds brilliant. She know how to defend herself and fight back no problem. Cream is never annoying at all. She knows how to be mature. people seriously need to get their minds straight NOW and she's not even useless nor cowardly at all because she can face up all sorts of challenges either with her friends or on her own in order to succeed. Cream also knows how to save and protect others from any danger or harm, even when she's doing her own secret vigilante crime fighting stuff even for fun. she's also supportive and super helpful to all her friends and others. whenever they need her even at most ...more
I don't like it when she gets shipped with Tails, but she's amazing. She's a sweet, bright, and polite girl with an adorable little pet, what's not to like? In the Sonic comics by Ian Flynn Sonic says more than once about how Cream is going to grow up to be amazing, and I bet that's true. She doesn't deserve all the hate. A lot of people call her useless, but don't forget guys she's a little girl. What is she gonna do?
Cream is my third favorite Sonic girl! She's a sweet and well-mannered rabbit but she knows how to fight when necessary. It may seem that just because she's only 6 she can't do anything and is always being protected but that isn't true. She is actually pretty strong and does her best to help everyone
The Sonic/ Mega Man & Crash Bandicoot franchises should not have a robotic setting whereas the main antagonists are old, male & evil scientists & the main protagonists are tall, lanky & same-color-obsessed males with annoying hairstyles. The Pac-Man franchise should, besides, Sonic is nowadays an adult.
He is awesome! Plus I like the back story of him as a robot, but he's still friend friends with Rouge and shadow!
Honestly I found this character through Mario and sonic at the olympic winter games. but he is an awesome ROBOT. (yes I know what he is) @:-D
I love this guy, he constantly insults and shames everyone around him, including the destroyed enemies.
He is the best (along with Wave & Storm). It's a shame they were only in 3 games. Also, Sega should either include them in future games, or add more characters who are birds!
This should be number 1st place, because he's my favorite sonic character of them all. Sonic's my 2nd.
In my opinion, Jet The Hawk is one of the most underrated characters that Sega have ever made.
He may not be the best of the best...but come on people HE IS AWESOME... he is at least better than Metal Sonic
He's honestly the most threatening villain that the series has ever seen, even the game that he was in wasn't the greatest. His voice acting wasn't exactly top-tier, but it was still pretty good.
I'd like to see this total gem of a character be brought back into the games, preferably in a Sonic 06 remake (a remake in which Elise is a tomboyish hedgehog who isn't crushing on Sonic, Silver and Blaze have more moments, Shadouge becomes canon, and there are zero glitches). I think Mephilles is a character that is too good to lose. His abilities are insane compared to the garbage villains we have now (ex. Infinite, Zavock...). Get him a whispering voice and a little more in-depth character design (you know..so he doesn't look like a deviantart spawn). Anyway, even if we don't ever see him again, I cherish his character now. He's cruel, cunning, and creepy, and Shadow's formidable nemesis.
This guy had a lot of potential, but at the end he ended up being a generic doomsday villain with unclear reasons for his actions who won't appear again. He still has some pretty neat aspects, as he's also the same as Shadow (time-space related powers, born from an experiment, and obviously also the same looks) but more deranged and creepy. From a certain point of view, he is what Shadow would have become if he let himself sink deeper in his hatred. So when Shadow battles him, he is, in a way, fighting his inner demons.
P.S. His general hamminess, Dan Green's voice, and awesome boss themes also make him more enjoyable.
Cunning, dark, and chaotic. Mephiles is a villain to behold. Having no mouth, he relies on actions to show his motives, in turn revealing more personality then most villains I've seen here. His appearance is utterly frightening and very unique, being the only sonic character to be crystal-like. While his backstory is flawed a bit, his personality makes up for it. His interactions with Shadow are exhilarating and tense. His boss music for his fights are stunning. And he simply chills you to the core.
Tikal is my favourite Sonic character. She is so calm, helpful and always knows what's right. In the comics, she is a magical spirit and people pray to her. If I get the chance to work in SEGA I would absolutely make a game with her as the main character. "Chaos is power, enriched by the heart..." - the words I'll remember forever. Tikal is also very beautiful and her theme song always makes me happy. Even though she's not real, she is the thing that gives my life meaning. Whenever I feel sad or depressed, I think about Tikal. She is my idol. I've never seen someone so awesome, so perfect as she is! I even like her more than Sonic, I draw comics about her and listen to her song almost all the time. The world would be way better if we had more people like Tikal!
Definitely an underused character with lots of potential. Her interesting background and cool spiritual powers would make a great addition to the franchise, as well as provide a friend for poor, lonely Knuckles. Could have been a cool sidekick in guarding the master emerald. At the very least, have her be a reoccurring guide as the little ball of light from sa1. That would be better than omochao (shudder) or basic question marks for sure. Of course, with the series "returning to it's roots" aka "we're killing off all the non-classic characters and not actually changing much else" this will never happen.
On Knuckles the Echidna's 16th birthday Tikal refers to Knuckles the Echidna, her brother/boyfriend/descendant as "Sweet 16" & Knuckles wants British Columbia for his 16th birthday. Knuckles gets angry because of how pompous he is & guess what? This is a parody of the "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" episode whereas Knuckles the Echidna plays the role of Kootie Pie Koopa & is a boy echidna who is called "Sweet 16" which makes Knuckles act like a little girl. Also, Nintendo & Sega could be responsible of the crossover episode whereas Knuckles is voiced by Ray William Johnson & having the same voice as Crabapple from Annoying Orange.
Loyal, peaceful, and very kind. Tikal is quite a sweet character. Her appearance is similar to Knuckles, and is refreshing from the red powerhouse we know and love. Her soft peach color is calming and beautiful. And her sweet, kind personality, and soft-spoken but urgent words paint her as an interesting female character. Her sense of justice is as strong as Espio's, but in a softer way. Tikal is a character that sweet, shy people everywhere can enjoy.
Really guys! Come on gamma was programmed for mass destruction... Yet he made his own choices and decided to free the trapped animals in the other robots. He died just so the bird that was functioning him could be free with his family.
His death was the most heroic and human thing I've ever watched
He had more character development in one game than Shadow in three. He has a better story in a game with a lot of stories than Sonic 06's story. One of the characters with the most golden heart in the franchise is a robot. It's IMPOSSIBLE not to like him.
E-102 had one of the best story lines! (Even though he was only in one game) E-102 was the predecessor of the E-1000 Series. This includes E-123 Omega! Even better, Dr. Robotnik didn't know of his betrayal at the end of the game.
Gamma is Boss! He betrayed his master and (SPOILER ALERT) Dies in a most depressing way. He really had a heart unlike those other robots...
Sticks is one of my favourites! She's strong, she's got a great knowledge of how to survive out in the wild and she is a quality character in Sonic Boom! Yes, she's a bit crazy, but that just adds to the character. I personally prefer her to both Knuckles and Amy in the show, and Amy's also one of my favourites! I think that they are both very underrated, but I think that Sticks should at least be in the top ten, not twenty-fourth! She's by far the most underrated character in the series and I hope to see more of her!
I find it really hard to hate her like another rabbit character I know by the name of Cream or as I like to see her, rabbit Itchy.
Sticks might be a cannibal low...
She's a coward I could imagine her in Amy's arms Scooby Doo style and she has an I.Q lower than Patrick Stars and I'd oughta whack her with an oar if she comes into my house and eats all my food and attacks my sister like a Gremlin I would call Video Game Animal Control.
Sticks is really cool! Why do you hate her because she doesn't have much money! That's like saying you only like snobbish brats like Amy! Sticks has way more swag than Amy primrose
Sally is by far one of the best female characters. She's kinda like a more outgoing and confident Blaze. I find her to be absolutely gorgeous, inside and out, and wish Sega hadn't forgotten about her. She's too good of a character to lose.
Her Archie counterpart is overrated
Modern Sally Acorn is so unlikable and overrated because she is a crybaby, has the personality of Princess Elise III and loves to be angrily cruel to the nice, elite, awesome characters for no reason. Knuckles the Echidna is much better than Modern Sally Acorn (yeah, I just said that) and too good for Modern Sally Acorn.
I wish Classic Sally Acorn got more love for being a strong, independant female character. Yeah, I said it!
Sally is a great sonic character. Even if she is a princess she is not stuck-up or bratty she is independent and cares about her friends. Why do people hate her so much and why are people calling her a Mary Sue look people her kingdom was taken over leaving her and her friends to survive in the woods just leave her alone. Sally is a great mother figure to Tails she wants him to be safe because she doesn't want him to be roboticized. Sally is my favourite sonic character
She is NOT bratty or arrogant! She's confident! There's a difference! And the whole deal with slapping Sonic? Chill out! That was ONE time, fanbrats! Sally was just worried! She is a legit queen, inside and out and deserves more than just the Archie comics.
Protective, fierce, and a force to be reckoned with. Chaos shows very early in Sonic Adventure that he will go to great lengths to protect the Chao. Even destroying Station Square out of anger. Chaos's appearance is amazing and quite unique. His visible brain is unsettling though. His friendship with Tikal is as sweet as Silver and Blaze's. When he isn't on a rampage, Chaos is quite peaceful and content to guard the shrine. His personality is developed and amazing. His attacks and shapeshifting is stunning. All in all, don't rile this creature.
Out of all the characters on this list, he has the backstory, and the awesome, but sadly has not many appearances, but when he DOES appear, it will be a great ride through. a being of Chao's and the Chaos Emerald, Mutated, and originally tasked with cleaning the water, then when the Ehidna clan tried to take the emeralds, he became perfect chaos, and then got trapped by tikal. then after a while, returned. he is so cool, he is elastic, shapeshifting and simple in design, nothing can beat this god of destruction in my opinion.
. Water? Creature. Perfect clear water around its altar of the master emerald. Turns into perfect chaos and beautiful graphics in Sonic Generations. Awesome.
Chao's are so cute and adorable! There about the same size as Chip. They don't speak and that is so cute.
She has a mix of knuckles and Tikal, along with shadow and espio. She is just what I like to call ( from Pokemon) a garchomp. Shade isn't in the series but everyone can still know her story. Shadow- she's not afraid to kill someone or something straight away, knuckles-she's kinda clever, Tikal- I think she was sweet until something happened, espio- she has ninja like skills! Who can't love her! If you don't like shade... Go sit in the corner and think about your life
Shade has a lot of potential to become the most favorite female Sonic character along with Blaze, she may need some character remodeling but she could make It top 10 easily. She deserves another chance to be in a sonic video game!
A lamer version of Julie-Su. Kinda wish Ken Penders hadn't dangled a law suit in front of SEGA so they could still use her...
I love shade. I can't believe shes only appeared in the dark brotherhood. I mean everyones always like whos shade and I'm like seriously GET A LIFE! I seriously think she should be tied with blaze as the most popular female character. I mean shes damn right AWESOME!
When I first played Unleashed on the PS3, I wasn't sure about Chip. I thought he was annoying and had no purpose in the game. But as I played through the game, he established a lot of character development. As you go and place the Chaos Emeralds in the Gaia Temples, and after you defeat the Egg Lancer, it's revealed that he's Dark Gaia's good counterpart, Light Gaia. And in the final battle, he takes control of an Iron Giant-esque stone golem constructed out of the Gaia Temples to kick Dark Gaia's ass. And the ending, where his spirit floats in the air telling Sonic to live, the Gaia Colossus gets sealed in the planet's core, and Sonic gets a bracelet in memory of him. He is my favorite minor character in the game because he's so badass!
Chip is my favorite character. He's got a cute design, an awesome voice actor, and his personality is adorable. He's so optimistic, hyper, and happy, but when things are looking bad or someone's feeling down, he's there for them, like a true friend. He's also got an awesome story. Poor guy had amnesia and couldn't even remember who he was. Even when he found out he's practically the god of light, and that it's his destiny to save the world, he never let it go to his head. He was still his same sweet, childish self. Also, I have something in common with him: we both love food!
Chip is so adorable! Chip is practically in love with food and because he is so small, can sit on top of it. I want a Chip!
Chip has a physic necklace thing on him. The Gaia colossus punched dark Gaia in the face a lot of times in the final boss it's a really cool boss
Very underrated! Helen is a sweet kind girl and one of Sonic's friends. I wish we had her as one of the main characters in sonic x instead of Chris.
She is very nice and kind. In some of the very first Sonic X, she was so happy and she made me want to smile.
A important character from Sonic X.
Marine isn't as bad as Big, heck, she is even shipped with Tails alongside Mina, Cream and Cosmo - Tails is just 100% awesome, Marine is a lying brat at times but still, she is awesome as well.
Marine would play an amazing feat with Yoshi.
Marine's voice actress: Cher Lloyd, her height will be 4'10" & she'll weigh 175 pounds.
Yoshi's voice actor: Mike Posner, his height being 6'0" & weight being 125 pounds.
It's a shame SEGA and Sonic dislike her for her childish behaviour! She's a very nice character if you give her a second chance!
Marine is a cute 7 year old raccoon who should be in more sonic games!
I think marine should be playable!
