The State despite having less natural resources compared to other big states, has done immensely better in converting its weaknesses to strengths.

The state also has industrial towns which in their booms provide continuous cash flow throughout the state. Cities and towns like, Chennai, Vellore, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Karur, Namakkal, Tiruchy, Sivakasi, Tutukudi are industrial areas and are hubs to various Industries. this diverse industrial footprint throughout the state makes it less vulnerable than the single industry dependent states.

The State is again devoid of perennial rivers. But thanks to incredibly brilliant farmers and their very adoptive style of farming, the state is leading producer of even the irrigation intense crops like Rice, Sugar Cane, Plantains, Coconuts etc.

A Very secular people and very accommodating population also suits people from other regions in India to find Tamil Nadu attractive for Investments.

1. Tamil nadu is a hub to automobile, IT and Manufacturing industry. (Bangalore is a hub to IT alone but chennai is a hub to both IT and Automobile Industry)
2. Most urbanized state in India.
3. State with most number of Business Enterprises.
4. Having 8.20 percent in GDP contribution to INDIA with 6 percent of population share.

Tamil Nadu is the best state for investment. Chennai is named after Detroit of Asia, because of the automobile industries. 3rd largest exporter of automobiles in Asia. Rich in textile manufacturing (Coimbatore). The government should concentrate more on the diversified business like food processing units and allied food industries for which there is a world wide market. Tamil Nadu still don't have large scale milk processing and allied products.

Tamil literature has existed for more than 2000 years.

Spoken today by about 70 million people, Tamil is considered to the (maybe only) language of contemporary India which is recognizably continuous with a classical past.

TAMIL NADU AND TAMILS ARE UNBEATABLE

TN has shown growth in all sectors even with serious shortage of water and some other resources!

Best Civil engineers before centuries. Built major temples

It has the highest density of Natinal Highway network in India.. YOu can find it in the National Highways map of India.. All parts of the state are highly developed and industrialised, not just some major cities.. Chennai is called DETROIT OF INDIA. Coimbatore-COTTON AND MOTOR CITY. Tirupur-KNIT CITY, TEXTILE VALLEY OF INDIA, etc are all located in TAMILNADU..!

Good people of course. The best place for education and good living. They don have water, but still they manage in agriculture. They produce electricity. The auto mobiles state of India. The state which has highest literary rate next to kerela. And most of all good hospitality.

Tamil Nadu is such different kind of state in India. Its very fast growing developing state in India. But most of peoples don't know the Hindi. Peoples are speaking only Tamil

Yes.. Its really true.. Tamilnadu is the source for everything and best place to live in india..
Karthik

Tamilnadu is performing well in all sectors education, industrialization, agriculture, social equality, maintaining the law and order, tourism, hospitality, transportation etc

Tamil nadu is a culture capital of South India.

It has the best resources for all kinds of educational and research oriented developments...

Tamil nadu is leading in almost all sectors.

I call it The only entirely independent state of India. From fighting wars with minimal support from the center against Si Lanka to economic development it had seen more in the past than it could ever handle. Being a person from Andhra Pradesh, I see there is a lot which other states have to learn from Tamil Nadu be it nurturing its language and protecting it from fascist, Hindi loving center or protecting its tradition for which its known world over. It doesn't suffer from drought much even though it is unfortunate to have no indigenous rivers of its own showing the best irrigation methods in the country.

Kudos to the state which houses the oldest known language to man and a state which houses the maximum number of Nobel laureates and scientists in our country. Having lesser land mass than its competitors it still was bestowed with the second most yielding state in India in terms of economy and prosperity. Summing all up you can see the picture I am trying to portray - An ...more

Tamilnadu is the 2nd largest economy of India with the most comprehensive growth over the years. Their literacy rate is 85% and the state is ranked 3rd in terms of Education Index. It is the most urbanized state of India with an urbanization rate of 55%. They are extremely self-sufficient and cultivate their own food, manufacture their own hardware and automobiles, have an extensive IT and services sector, have a strong economy that doesn't rely on American economy too much. Even during recession, TN was among the states with the highest growth rate as they have very high internal demands. They generate their own power and give jobs to all other states. They are the only state with 3 Nobel Prizes, 2 Oscar Awards, highest number of Chess Grandmasters and highest number of presidents.

In short, Tamilnadu is the bread and butter of India.

Yes always India should be first in all activities after my blood Tamilnadu have good part in future to develop all industries.

Still control law and regulations. Control murders /raps/corruption and etc...

TN is an auto hub of India. Also called detroit of India and has high quality of education.

Tamil being one of the two oldest surviving language and contribution of dravidian politics in development are the two main reason for Tamilnadu's growth.

Tamilnadu atmosphere suits everyone. Providing good opportunities for youths.

Tamil Nadu is excellent in providing Business opportunities and Job Opportunities and has a good range of Industries and Educational institutions as well. There is a mediocre variety in Culture (city dwellers having a modern lifestyle and the rural areas having a mixed culture-modernized traditional). The tourism is also good. There is problem in basic infrastructure such as Electricity and even water supply in some districts owing to political issues and not because of lack of these physical infrastructure. Production, Service, Media, Transportation, Communication etc. Are provided to the society adequately. But we just can't conclude any state is the because it needs a lot of research to come to a conclusion, some states may be better in one thing and may not excel in another sector...

I agree. Mainly because of industrialisation even small villages have their way but we have to develop per capita income and HDI. Educational development is very good.
