Top 10 Most Redneck U.S. States

This list narrows down the top 10 redneck states of all 50.
The Top Ten
1 Mississippi Mississippi is a southern U.S. state with the Mississippi River to its west, the state of Alabama to its east, and the Gulf of Mexico to the south.

I hate them there city folks who head out to my neck of the woods down in the deep south of Mississippi and speak their stupid city bs and I hate when they little car get in the way of my big ford truck. For some reason they get pissed when I say an offensive joke about blacks. Well I get pissed that they are offending my 1st amendment rights to say whatever I want. They also look at me funny when I talk about my guns like they don't know what the hell a gun is.

You have no right to judge our flag. It is MY history even if it is one that no one wants to remember. Some of my best friends are black and no we do not lynch them that's just horrible. True are rednecks but we have a strong foundation in God and do what he wants us to do according to his wishes. You people that think so lowly of us are missing Jesus in your life and I hope that you will find your way to him someday soon.

Definitely a redneck state. Many rednecks and southerners live there. Mississippi and Louisiana are famous for strong southern accents. But you have Virginians like me who might get called a Yankee. But some will be sorely mistaken.

All of these redneck places are clueless regarding spelling and grammar, and they don't even care!

2 Arkansas Arkansas is a state located in the Southeastern region of the United States. Its name is of Siouan derivation, denoting the Quapaw Indians.

Arkansas has the largest rice production in the U.S.

Arkansas should be top 5. This is goofy

Arkansas is more redneck than Missouri, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Louisiana and maybe more

Should be #1 or #2, only reason why it's so far down the list is because the state is so irrelevant

3 Alabama Alabama is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States. It is bordered by Tennessee to the north, Georgia to the east, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and Mississippi to the west.

Welcome to BAMA home of the racist red necks who marry their cousins and still own slaves on their good ole fashioned plantations. If that ain't enough for ya well BAMA also has lot of real nice lookin trailers and big ole trucks with a lot a offensive bumper stickers that will get you screamin MERICA while you drink a bud light and tell a bunch of racist jokes in front of a bunch of foreign people.

I'm from here for first few years of my life so redneck by blood. I was surprised when I went there from texas on vacation that alabama is a whole lot more redneck than texas

Alabama is actually a whole lot nicer than what some people would think. Most of the people I've met in that state aren't rednecks.

Often considered one of the most conservative states. Also, there are supposedly over 800 trailer parks.

4 Texas Texas is a state in the Southern USA. It is the second largest by area and population. Its largest city is Houston.

There ain't no cities in Texas just big red neck party places to go play around in your truck, drink some beer with other folks of Texas, go bull ridin and shootin.

They love country music, bunch of cowboy rednecks wearing their cowboy hats & cowboy boots. Even cowboy rednecks outside the state of Texas represents the state of Texas in their homes with Texas state emblems shown in their bumper stickers on their Ford Trucks. It's the redneck capitol of the world. This state should be at number 1 because it is the most redneck state in the U.S., there's no denying it.

I've live in Texas and I've always seen at least 1 mobile home or white trash house in Texas. Not all of them are like that but it can be hillbilly heaven there

They're spread around the DFW area among everyone else. Even in the "better" parts of the mid cities they're around.

5 Georgia Georgia is a state located in the southeastern United States. It was established in 1732, the last of the original Thirteen Colonies.

Lived in Georgia all my life and everyone is liberal and a feminist. If you dare have conservative values your shunned! Nobody drives trucks or wears camo. If you don't have Louis Vuitton or Gucci you're considered poor. Whenever I travel up north or west I get asked why I don't have an accent. No way Georgia should be this high!

Lots and lots of hospitality, plus every school is filled with camo.

Hot diggty dog Georgia did done don did it agin. In alabama when your sister says can u pass the salt dad, you, your dad, your brother, your two cousins, your uncle, and you second cousin all go for the salt.

6 Tennessee Tennessee is a state located in the southeastern United States. Tennessee is the 36th largest and the 17th most populous of the 50 United States.

Home of the rebel flags

Tennessee is so much better then Mississippi we got a whole lot more country around here

7 Kentucky Kentucky, officially the Commonwealth of Kentucky, is a state located in the east south-central region of the United States.

Kentucky Born and Raised, no mater where I live, Kentucky will be my redneck, Hillbilly home. Second Amendment, Mud. Proud to be a Hillbilly.

Amen buddy, I love my rednecks and I love my state. Bourbon, trucks, dirt bikes and the Second Amendment is all we need!

Kentucky is a mix between the farm filld Midwest and the rural old fashion south and any on who says Arkansas is more redneak than Kentucky that's don't what the word means!

Kentucky is a state Kentucky is a state all the people there are rednecks Kentucky is a state

8 Louisiana

I'm from Louisiana and I'm a redneck but sometimes I feel like I don't have a accent but at the same time I do.

Hey that's a fact Jack

9 South Carolina South Carolina is a state in the southeastern region of the United States. The state is bordered to the north by North Carolina, to the south and west by Georgia across the Savannah River, and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean.

Redneck heaven (or hell), especially the upstate down through Lexington.

10 West Virginia West Virginia is a state located in the Appalachian region of the Southern United States. It is bordered by Pennsylvania to the north, Maryland to the east and northeast, Virginia to the southeast, Kentucky to the southwest, and Ohio to the northwest. West Virginia is the 41st largest state by area, and is ranked 38th in population. The capital and largest city is Charleston.

Copenhagen, Marlboros, Bud Light, loud trucks, incest, illiteracy, just to hit the high points. They think universities exist to support sports teams. Litter in the creeks and ditches. Family trees look like a pretzel. They leave funny bite marks in their sandwiches.

I'm from West Virginia, there is nothing other than mountains and hillbillies as far as the eye can see! It's awesome!

Blood Red in some areas, but for the most part, the kindest most honorable people on the face of the earth.

It's a trailer trash breeding ground. I'm in love!

The Contenders
11 Florida Florida is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States. Florida is the southeasternmost U.S. state, with the Atlantic on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other.

Should be in top 10

12 Missouri Missouri is a state located in the Midwestern United States. It is the 21st most extensive, and the 18th most populous of the fifty states.

We also like our barbeque and state fairs! Oh, and don't forget rodeos!

This is hilarious. 5% of the state is hick

Used to be the meth capital of America.

I'm a redneck too

13 Alaska Alaska is a U.S. state situated in the northwest extremity of the Americas. The Canadian administrative divisions of British Columbia and Yukon border the state to the east; it has a maritime border with Russia to the west across the Bering Strait.
14 Ohio Ohio is a state in the midwestern region of the United States. Ohio is the 34th largest by area, the 7th most populous, and the 10th most densely populated of the 50 United States.

Boring people. No culture. Men wear baseball caps in restaurants. Population is overweight or obese.

It is redneck in the southeastern part!

15 Oklahoma

Most of my life I lived in Washington, and if you have lived in Washington it is the most non-red neck place in America. And then I moved to Oklahoma I literally didn't understand one word come out of people mouth and if you live somewhere like Washington don't even think about moving to Oklahoma trust me.

16 New Mexico
17 Idaho Idaho is a state in the northwestern region of the United States. Idaho is the 14th largest, the 39th most populous, and the 7th least densely populated of the 50 United States.

We've lived in 7 states, across the country, and this is by far the most redneck, in a bad way. No animal rights, and even when there are most people don't live by them. Almost every conversation leads back killing things (not hunting, but specifically killing things...shooting whistle pigs for the hell of it type killing). Half of the state lives in trailers, and most of the ones who don't are from Cali anyway.

18 Iowa Iowa is a U.S. state in the Midwestern United States, bordered by the Mississippi River on the east and the Missouri River and the Big Sioux River on the west. Iowa is a strong Republican state with Constitutional Carry. Masks have never been mandatory and Iowa was never locked down.

Guys in camo driving huge dually pickups with rifles hanging on their rear-window (usually covered with huge Confederate flag stickers) gun racks throwing Bud Lite cans and McDonald's wrappers out the window, blaring Toby Keith on their stereo and yelling "yeehaw!" at every car that passes. Typical everyday Iowa.

19 Indiana

This should easily be in the top 10, plus New York should at least be in the top 25, as long as you stay out of the populated areas, is actually pretty darn redneck.

The most illegal gun sales come out of this state. Also, where the KKK had the most prominent role in the country.

This should be in top 10

20 North Carolina North Carolina is a state in the southeastern region of the United States. The state borders South Carolina and Georgia to the south, Tennessee to the west, Virginia to the north, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east.

North Carolina isn't entirely red neck. Most of its residents are kind, good people. But of course, it has its rough areas.

21 Wyoming Wyoming is a state in the mountain region of the Western United States. The state is the tenth largest by area, but the least populous and the second least densely populated of the 50 United States.
22 Arizona Arizona is a U.S. state in the southwestern region of the United States. It is also part of the Western and the Mountain states.

It's not that red neck

Its not that redneck

23 Montana Montana is a state in the Western region of the United States. The state's name is derived from the Spanish word montaƱa.
24 Kansas Kansas is a U.S. state located in the Midwestern United States. It is named after the Kansa Native American tribe, which inhabited the area.

Just the Governor and a few bible thumpers, not nearly as bad as PA!

25 Wisconsin Wisconsin is a U.S. state located in the north-central United States, in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions.

Wisconsin isn't redneck
