Top 10 Best Theatrical Comic Book Movies

Let's take a look at some of the best comic book movies that were released in theaters.
The Top Ten
1 The Dark Knight

Yeah. Dark Knight is the best. It is a cinematic masterpiece. Not just the best Batman movie, not just the best DC movie, but also one of the best movies of all time. It is that good! It's everything I wanted to see in a Batman film! First time I saw it, I was blown away. From the cinematography to the acting, it's all just perfect! Christian Bale is still great as Batman and Michael Caine is still really great as Alfred. Both of them seem to have even improved. Heather Ledger as the Joker was 100% genius! He gives such a creepy and scary performance. Ledger is what made Joker one of my favorite comic book villains. He just fits the role so perfectly. Every scene he's in put a smile on my face. The music really sets the tone of the film. Hans Zimmer is a great composer as usual. The action looks very real and believeable! I had a really great time watching this movie! It is one of the best!

2 Spider-Man 2

The second movie in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy is the best Spider-Man movie ever! Unless Spider-Man Homecoming will somehow be better which I highly doubt. Even though Tobey Maquire isn't the best Spidey, he still does a great job here. And so does Kristen Dunst. I still don't like Mary Jane but Kristen Dunst is still a great actress regardless. The characters are fleshed out and the story is brilliant. Doctor Octopus is a very enjoyable villain. I also really love the action sequences. The train scene is the most memorable scene in the movie. Spider-Man 2 was the last good Spider-Man movie for most people. Considering a lot of people hate Spider-Man 3 and the Amazing Spider-Man movies. Very understandable, but I'm glad that Spider-Man turned out to be the awesome movie that it is.

3 Logan

Logan is the third and final movie in the Wolverine trilogy. And it's the best one in the trilogy. It's even the best X-Men movie of all time. It is perfect in every way. It's violent, it's emotional, it's action packed, and the characters are very developed. Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart give excellent performances. But I was really impressed with Dafne Keen as Laura aka X-23. She is the best child actor I have seen in a movie so far. This felt like an adult performance. Her character is very brutal and violent. She became my favorite character by the end of the movie. This movie is rated R and it definitely deserves it. There is a lot of blood and swearing! And none of it was meaningless. For some reason, there were kids in the theater I saw the movie at. Because some parents don't have brains. The only R rated moment that I felt was forced was when some random lady pulled down the top part of her dress and showed her breasts. They were probably thinking that they needed some ...more

4 Wonder Woman

I was going to submit this list earlier this week, but I decided to wait until after I saw Wonder Woman in case I wanted to add it. Glad I did because it was such an amazing movie! This was an absolute surprise! Thanks Patty Jenkins for making such an excellent DCEU film! This is everything I wanted to see in a Wonder Woman movie! It's just so good! I highly recommend seeing it. I did a review of this movie in a blog post. You could check that out if you want.

5 Captain America: Civil War

Captain America: Civil War is the most mature MCU film. I really enjoyed it! There is a lot happening in it and it's done very well! I watched this in IMAX 3D and it looked awesome. Especially during the airport battle. That was the best scene in any Marvel film that I've seen. I loved how they introduced us to Black Panther. I didn't know much about him before seeing the movie, but he is really cool! This was also the first time we saw Spider-Man in the MCU. The actor they got to play him is perfect! I am looking forward to Spider-Man Homecoming! This isn't the only movie of 2016 to feature two superheroes fighting each other. There was also Batman v Superman. Which wasn't a good movie. Civil War is pretty much BvS done right. The Russo Brothers are better directors than Zack Snyder. Honestly, Snyder should just join his daughter at this point. He sucks at making movies.

6 Deadpool

This was the most surprising superhero movie I've ever seen. I honestly didn't think that a Deadpool movie would work. But these excellent filmmakers and actors proved me wrong. I loved this movie! It works great as both an action film and a comedy. There's a lot of great action and tons of violence. Deadpool fires one bullet at three people. It looks really cool. There's a lot of amazing cinematography. The slow motion moments look fantastic. Since this is Deadpool, there is a lot of fourth wall breaking. Wasn't sure how they were going to pull it off in this movie, but they managed to surprise me with that. And it was very funny. Most of the jokes tend to be very inappropriate. Definitely not a kids film. I loved this movie and I'm excited for Deadpool 2.

7 Spider-Man
8 The Avengers

I wasn't originally going to put this on the list, but I felt like I had to since it's a movie that everyone has been waiting for and one that definitely didn't disappoint. Even though I think there are at least 3 MCU films that are better, this one was a huge movie for the MCU. This was the first time we got to see the Avengers working together on the big screen. We see them settle their differences and team up to battle an evil threat. There's some pretty great dialogue and some awesome action packed moments. We really liked these characters in their solo movies because they did an excellent job at developing them. So we knew we were going to love seeing them work as a team. The DCEU needs to take notes. Justice League looks like it's going to suck.

9 Guardians of the Galaxy

Amazing flick! Lovable Characters, great action, and a wonderful soundtrack!

10 Blade

Better vampire movie than Twilight. I didn't think I was gonna like this movie as much as I did. It has some very great action and a very great cast. Wesley Snipes fits the character of Blade very perfectly. There is also some really great dialogue. I really enjoyed the final fight scene. This movie is pretty underrated in my opinion. I'm sure it's something that anyone will enjoy. It is a very awesome movie.

The Contenders
11 The Incredible Hulk
12 Iron Man
13 X-Men: Days of Future Past

This was the first X-Men film that I watched in a theater. And by that I mean it's the first one I saw with the name "X-Men" in the title. If I was including the ones without "X-Men" in the title, the first one I saw in a theater was The Wolverine. Days of Future Past was better than I thought it would be. It has a great story and great characters. And despite there being so many characters, they all have a purpose. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is still very awesome. My favorite character would have to be Quicksilver. He even has the best scene in the movie. They also do a scene kind of similar to it in X-Men Apocalypse. They completely ruin Quicksilver in Age of Ultron though. My least favorite thing about Days of Future Past is Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. Mainly because Jennifer Lawrence is the worst actress ever. I can't stand her! But that didn't ruin the movie for me. I still really enjoyed it.

14 Batman Begins

That's right. He's Batman. Christopher Nolan is such a great director! The visuals are impressive and the acting is brilliant. Christian Bale is perfect as Batman. It doesn't even feel like acting. It seems so natural. Michael Caine as Alfred was perfect casting! This feels like the role he was born to play. Better than him playing a spy car, that's for sure. This is a very dark film. There are a lot of great fights included in the film. It's very action packed. It's a great Batman film and an overall great superhero film.

15 The Avengers: Age of Ultron
16 Suicide Squad
17 Batman: Mask of the Phantasm

This movie suits The Caped Crusader the most!

18 The Lego Batman Movie

Some character designs are based off some comics, movies, and cartoons

19 Spider-Man: Homecoming
20 The Amazing Spider-Man
21 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
22 Ant Man
23 The Amazing Spider-Man 2
24 The Dark Knight Rises
25 Captain America: The Winter Soldier

How could you forget this Fantastic flick! It's probably better than Civil War. Don't get me wrong I like Civil War. But this movie takes the cake! Sharp dialogue, well written story, likable characters, breathtaking musical score and fantastic fight choreography. Probably the most in depth MCU movie!
