US States With the Rudest People
The Contenders: Page 2
Every state that is not a southern state is snobby and unfriendly as a rule people don't talk to people they don't know unless they have to and even then there not to friendly. Even in small towns in the north people are rude and snobby. I use to live in upstate New York in Saratoga Springs were people don't even make eye contact but that is comin in the north east. Now I live in Missouri were the people are just as rude and unfriendly as they are in New York.
Self righteous, hypercritical (the rules are for other people not themselves), patronizing, bigoted (and not just race) and if they make a mistake they"ll try to "pen it" on you.
Rude, narrow-minded, birthers, self-righteous
People who live in Misery (oh sorry I meant Missouri) lack common sense. Mizzou has the dumbest and most obnoxious fanbase in the SEC. - Randomator
Rude people very inconsiderate and horrible drivers no such thing as southern hospitality it is a lie. Cannot wait to leave this state as soon as possible.
Crimson Tide fans are NUTS! They care psycho and dangerous. - DoroExploro13
Northern NV, near Reno, be white or it could be very dangerous. It's still 1923 up there. Las Vegas "me like shiny things" don't expect anyone to be impressed that you can read...cash only. Tons of homeless. Hot as hell 9 mos straight, systemically racist, and an incredibly small town, for such a large area. Wouldn't want my dog to live there!
You haven't been here, right? This is a friendly state. They have a nice southern accent and lots of golf carts, everyone minds being talked to, a rather quiet state
There are good and bad people. The bad ones are aggressive and speed like devil on the roads like their lives is ending soon. Very unconsidered to others. Bad behavior on roads is typical here.
Everyone is nice here except for Moore County and Pinehurst areas.
I love NC! Everyone is nice
Most people here are ok lol
I agree about Maine. They are too blunt and don't really realize they're being rude. I went to a department store with my best friend and this young woman from Maine. My friend isn't thin exactly and the young woman from Maine said " Fat makes you look older than you are by 20 years, why not get a bathing suit to cover up the fat" My friend didn't say anything till the young woman was gone but she told me afterwards how deeply hurt her feelings were, she said the comment made her feel like nothing. I told her I agreed with her and that this person from Maine had no tact at all. My friend and I are both from California, and we were raised to be careful with people's feelings. I felt the girl didn't like my friend and this was a jab. The other troubling thing was the young woman's lack of personality, I would say she was robotic.
Very judgmental people, not welcoming to outsiders, they think that their state is the best in the US, well I have been to all 50 and it is in the top 5 worst states. The people are not willing to try new things, for example if a new bridge, or new building goes up everyone is against it. They DO NOT accept change. Also I find it odd that they have a very gross stereotype, such as the accent, lack of education, all country hicks, what pissed me off when I lived there is that the residents are okay with that stereotype and tend to mock it because the think it's "cool", even if that's not them. God forbid there be change in this state or everyone will freak out. I lived there for 18 years and am now happily from Arizona. Such a waste of a state
I live in Northern Maine and the people are actually very kind. People hold doors for other people, and I could greet a random person and they'll respond. The only thing is, the plow trucks suck! So you've just shoveled snow, the plow truck comes and just leaves MORE snow to shovel right after.
Over all, Maine has nice people but one of the worst drivers I've seen.
Rude and racist! The term customer service doesn't exist here. I moved here about 6 months ago from Washington state and I'm surprised to see that more people voted Washington to be considered higher in terms of rudeness. I think that is because who travels to Georgia... I mean really it's not on many people's bucket list. I was expecting Southern hospitality but what I found was many uneducated, backward, rude and racist people. News Flash: why are you still flying a confederate flag(? ) that was a rhetorical question obviously, but I digress back to the rudeness. Customer service consists of "what do you what? " No niceties at all. I have even experienced a checker at the store walk away in the middle of my order so she could gossip to another checker about a colleague. I didn't have words I just stood there with a crazy look on my face thinking "you can't make this stuff up". I have been all over the world (retired Army) and I am appalled daily at the level of ...more
Georgia is the most respectful state I have ever visit. In matter a fact it thought me manners and what having fun with family, friend and neighbor is about. Georgia people will invite you to dinner, party and don't even know you.
Rude, hateful if your from the north, only the 3rd comment is true, I live here know what I'm talking about. That bless your heart thing is a bold face lie. The turn your back on you when you don't agree with them, the southern hospitality thing is wrong. They are rude
Yay Georgia is not the most nice state south Carolina isV 2 Comments
I met an Ore on a flight that stopped in Atlanta. She was amazing. Simply the sweetest girl I have met in a long time. I'm not suprised that Oregon is not in the top of the worst, but somewhere in the middle. The one Ore I met was the coolest person.
Lived here my whole life in the suburbs. We can be rude I will admit. Oregonians have NO filter. At all! Also if you are from California or Washington (State), we do not want you here! Rest of the country is cool though, but only for a visit. We have cliques and we stick to them. Just stating the truth, it's the "see it, say it" attitude we have.
Used to be cool, but a lot of jerks now. Hippies, gang members, rednecks, and doucebags
I'm Oregonian and we can judge people secretly, but that is pretty much it - bjinmaro64V 3 Comments
Every person in every store hates their job and the double hate the customers who come in to "bother them." I guess that wouldn't be so bad if they were pretty to look at, but to make matters worse, they are the shortest fattest pack of gremlins I have ever seen. I imagine that if I was that awful looking, I would try to make it up by being nicer to people. I think if I brought them guns, they would first murder all of the tourist, then turn the guns on each other. 1 cab driver was approachable. Everyone else just seemed to hate humans.
We are rude as hell
Council Bluffs, Iowa. Full of tough-guys, tough-girls, rudeness in general, unwelcoming to newcomers.
Oklahoma is butt because bought from Mexico and Mexican R butt
I moved to Muskogee 2 & a half years ago & out of all the states I've ever lived in or been in this state is the worst, especially this town!
Muskogee has the most rudest people down here, especially the women unless your redneck or a thug.
Ok sucks alright
Incredibly rude, almost dumb people. The worst customer service I've experienced in my life, multiplied at every single establishment.
Work in health care and it's rare I get a polite person. Rude, nasty, and the women are far worse than the men. Southern bells? No hell bells is what they are!
Some of the rudest, nastiest people I have ever had to deal with are from middle Tennessee. Southern hospitality? yeah that's a myth
Hawaii has by far some of the rudest people. They would rarely take turns talking and are super impatient for the most part, and they can be really loose mouthed and let it all out in the wrong time. If your a tourist from the mainland or Europe, some people refuse to be your friend or even look at you in a friendly way. The only reason why I might hate this state is that I realize that there are way too many people. That can be said for Oahu, and trust me, I live there.
Some kid in my class is from Nebraska and shes a s***
Been to a lot of states, but the people here have the worst reaction to outsiders. Yes, including NYC.
Just today at redbox some redneck ass called me a faggot as I was just trying to rent a movie.
About 80% of the people I've met here prefer not to have a social life, if they do have one they better know you or someone who does know you. If not, they will treat you like an outsider for no reason, they gossip, etc. The amount of drama here is almost as high as their STD rate. They really like to flat out stare. I caught a few people doing it when I went to Taco Bell so I stared right back and waved at them and asked what I could help them with. I have 0 chill anymore dealing with people. The south was better.
Here there is no one to talk to or help you
Idahoans hate outsiders going as far as telling people to get the hell out of their state calling people names. I lived in Ny and was never told to leave
