Top 10 Worst Aircraft Ever Made
This is a list of airplanes in the aviation industry that have the worst safety records, are known for major failures, or are simply uncomfortable and slow. Most DC-9 crashes have been caused by pilot error, bad weather, or improper maintenance.
A whopping top speed of 288 MPH. Oh boy.
This plane had potential, but it ultimately failed once all the crashes started happening.
The Newcomers

This is worse than any DC-10 could ever be. Not only are the seats super uncomfortable, but the plane is mechanically unstable. The engines have a history of exploding due to low-pressure turbines damaging neighboring engines.
One incident in 1987 involved an engine explosion on LOT 5055, causing an in-flight fire that killed 183 people in Warsaw. Almost all Soviet planes are unstable.
The Tupolev Tu-154 was infamous in the '80s and even now. Ranging from pilot error to improper maintenance, here are some examples:
A Malev flight crashed in the Mediterranean Sea near Lebanon, and no one knows what happened to it.
An Aeroflot plane crashed at Omsk airport because the ATC was asleep.
One year later, an Aeroflot plane crashed in Uzbekistan, with 200 lives lost.
Another Aeroflot plane crashed in Kazakhstan.
China Northwest Airlines crashed seconds after takeoff because someone placed two parts the wrong way the day before.
Iran Air Tours collided with a Sukhoi fighter.
China Southwest Airlines crashed due to improper maintenance.
If I add any more crashes, it would take forever. If you want to find out more crashes, go to their Wikipedia page.
This was the Kmart Soviet version of the Concorde. It was involved in multiple crashes, including one at the 1973 Paris Air Show in front of thousands of spectators, and several more afterward. It was clearly rushed in order to beat the Concorde to the market.
It was also considered extremely noisy and uncomfortable, to the point that passengers had to write notes to each other because they couldn't hear one another over the noise.
