The Top TenXW
I love Avril and Amy. I love them so much, but if made to chose one I would pick Amy because of her amazing vocals. Avril is good because of her lyrical content. I really enjoy both
Amy lee is top of this list not because she is the best singer but because she gets more media exposure than the others.
Best Female Rock singer alive! Her songs have great lyrics and backing instrumentation to boot!
Wow... I can't believe she's at number 1... After all, she IS the best female rock singer.V2 Comments
She is absolutely awesome and incompairable. The range of her voice is amazing, the power of her voice is overwhelming and her charisma is just wonderful.
WoW! She has what it takes to become a legend.
She's the singer and songwriter of the Swiss rock band called Sugamice (founded 2011).
I m addicted to her songsV7 Comments
You've gotta be kidding! Hayley Williams, the most awesome rock singer is down here? She should be at least in top ten or at Avril Lavigne's place! Hayley is liked by many people, men, women, young or old (believe me I'm sure of what I'm saying, my mom likes some of Paramore's songs) she has a damn hell of a wide vocal range.
These aren't just the best things about her, she can actually write songs and is the kindest, down-to-earth, and humble as well as a good role model to young girls. Avril Lavigne isn't even rock, and is worshipped by 10 year-olds who are tone deaf.
Awesome voice, fantastic charisma and energy on stage, and great songwriting ability. Seriously...She absolutely deserves to be in the top 5 of all time!
Dude she has the best voice on the planet.V4 Comments
"The strange case of..." is one of the best female rock albums of all time, and her vocal performance on "I Am the Fire" on their "Into The Wildlife" album is absolutely mind blowing. Halestorm is far and away one of the best female fronted rock bands of all time, and it's a damn shame that she isn't in the top 3 on this list, because she absolutely deserves to be.
In the end it comes down to the live performance ability. I respect her because everything on the records - screaming, melodic sounds, very high or low notes, etc. - she can also do live. In a world of auto-tune and pre-recorded tracks, here is one example of real, raw talent!
When I think of Best Female Rockers, I think Lzzy Hale. Her vocal range is to die for and her style is killer. Her performances are amazing and she is simply stunning. Her song 'Rock Show' from "The Strange Case Of..." was soulful and very true. It describes fans very well. Hale definitely deserves to be at the top.
She deserves to be at the top.V2 Comments
If you can listen to "It's Only Happy When It Rains" without singing along, you have no soul...
"All Around Me", "I'm So Sick", "Alive" and "Fully Alive" are Awesome! I also love her in "Broken Pieces" by Apocalyptica!
She deserves to be in the top ten, in my opinion, much higher than Avril Lavigne! Her voice is so original, she is an extremely talented song writer and incredible live.
Her voice is iconic, her lyrics are unique, and her sound is so original.
"Howl", "Spectrum", "Rabbit Heart"... enough Said...
Amy Lee is great but no one can deny that Tarja is left behind! No way! She is one of my favorite singers of all time! I'm currently listening to Forever Yours and obsessing over Deep Silent Complete! - Fher34
Tarja has the most beautiful voice I had ever heared!
She is amazing, she is the best on stage! M/
For someone who has had no vocal training Sharon is so far ahead of the rest. Her voice has both power and emotion. No one can match her singing live especially Amy Lee who sucks live.
Sharon den Adel has one of the most addictive voices I have ever heard. I am amazed she is not top of this list.
Sharon's voice is so pure & angelic. Definitely the best Rock vocalist of the decade.
Good hate the name SharonV1 Comment
She writes all her songs and sing live people! Love her voice too
Her music has got energy and rhythm, her lyrics is touching too!
I love her voice.. And she's very beautiful..V2 Comments
She's an acquired taste. Her music and lyrics are amazing.
Her music is not clearly "rock" but avant-garde. I don't mind because she's very very great.
She's awesome! She should be at least on the top 2!V1 Comment
I'm so sick of seeing Amy Lee at the top of every list similar to this one. She's a good singer yeah but Simone, Tarja, Sharon etc deserve just as much or more praise than her.
Anyways Simone is just amazing, her vocals are just breath taking
Agree about Amy Lee, there are so much more singers who are far superior to her, Simone being one.
