Top 10 Metal Songs Released In 2002
People who think that "Mirror, Mirror" or "The Bard’s Song" are the best Blind Guardian songs need some serious update. This song is 1000x better.
It was difficult to rank the songs on this list because 2002 was a very strong year with many masterpieces. All songs on my original remix deserve to be at #1 and the order is only a matter of preference.
I have to go with Blind Guardian for several reasons: compared to Dream Theater and Symphony X, Blind Guardian song is faster and heavier (I prefer faster and heavier songs). And even though it’s over 14 minutes long, it’s still very compact and intense. There is also more passion and life in it. And last but not least, Blind Guardian song has the best vocals.
This is the greatest list I have ever seen. Deliverance, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (My favorite), March of the Fire Ants, The Glass Prison, The Odyssey, just wow!

Incredibly beautiful prog song and one of Hansi's best vocals, if not his best vocals ever. There are so many great notes from Hansi on this song but maybe his best and most beautiful note EVER is at 1:23-1:27 ("crystallized WALLS").
