1 Katara - Avatar The Last Airbender Katara is a fictional character in Nickelodeon's animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, voiced by Mae Whitman.

It's hard to chose a best written avatar girl because they're all really well written with backstory, intrests, character progression and feelings, but Katara was there from start to the end. Even though she's the main hero's love intrest she still has a backstory and everything.

2 Korra - Legend Of Korra Avatar Korra is the title lead character in Nickelodeon's animated television series The Legend of Korra, in which she is depicted as the current incarnation of the Avatar, responsible for maintaining peace and balance in the world.

It was nice to watch Korra grow so much through the series. She's definitely one of the best female main characters ever.

3 Pearl - Steven Universe Pearl is a fictional character from the 2013 animated series Steven Universe, created by Rebecca Sugar. She is a "Gem", a fictional alien being that exists as a magical gemstone projecting a holographic body. She is portrayed as a loving, gentle and delicate character, who acts as a motherly figure for Steven. However, she also tends to be overprotective with him and have a low self-esteem; she is also deeply overwhelmed with the grief of Steven's mother, Rose, who she was madly in love with. She is frequently praised for being a positive depiction of a queer character, though her strong obsession with Rose has been described as "unhealthy".

She actually reminds be of Katara.

Rebecca Sugar is a major reason Marceline was a good character.
