Top 10 Actual Reasons Why The Classic Nickelodeon Series Rocko's Modern Life Is Overrated
PLEASE NOTE: This does NOT mean that the show is badGoing fishing, going to the laundromat, going to the grocery store, going to the doctor, going to high school...starting to notice a pattern here?
Just IMAGINE a Roger Rabbit cartoon series done in the humor style of Rocko's Modern Life AND the art style of the original film; yes, I know, it's too good (and probably FAR too expensive) to even be true, but STILL
As for Animaniacs, it's Steven Spielberg at his finest, enough said
With Mr. Bighead and the Chameleon Bros probably being the worst offenders (I would say Heffer and Filburt, but those two characters in particular, especially when combined with the aforementioned Mr. Bighead, are actually the main reason why the show is as funny as it is)
Angry neighbor, pet dog, fat/skinny duo(s), Hollywood nerd, generic straight man, dysfunctional sitcom families, etc
Chuck Chameleon (referring to a video that he and Leon made of Rocko unintentionally-seductively walking down a flight of stairs whilst completely naked from head to toe): "Everyone is FRAPPING it to our bought-out film! "
Animation, storyboarding, comedic timing, characters, et cetera
I would probably consider Rocko the fourth best Nicktoon overall, but let's be honest, IVZ, HA and TLA/LOK are pretty much unbeatable shows as far as the Nickelodeon catalog is concerned (as ridiculously, astronomically overrated as IVZ also is)
Don't believe me? Just compare the intros of the two shows; notice in the process how Rocko's Modern Life's is essentially just a more over-the-top and insane version of Doug's
Ironic because that's actually not at all what the show was intended to be
And now in the show's upcoming movie, dubbed Static Cling, people still wear red-and-blue 3D glasses (yes, it's kind of a minor nitpick, I know...except for the fact that Static Cling allegedly takes place in a time period in which flying drones have already taken over the entire global security system)
