The Top Ten
1 Tom (Tom & Jerry) Thomas "Tom" Cat is a fictional character and one of the title characters in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's series of Tom and Jerry theatrical cartoon short films.

Tom is way better than Sylvester. He's funnier, much more original, and less predictable. He's also more fun, considering he doesn't have as much bad luck.

I vote Tom for the win! This tuxedo cat, beaten by a mouse, never gets old and has a definite chance of being number one. I have almost all of the Tom and Jerry movies!

He is the greatest cartoon cat and the main hero, as well as the main protagonist in the show. He is better than any other cartoon cats because of his characteristics.

2 Sylvester (Looney Tunes) Sylvester J. Pussycat Sr., usually called Sylvester, is a fictional character, a three-time Academy Award-winning anthropomorphic, 40, 50, or 60-Inch tall Tuxedo cat in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons.

I love the way he talks, and I've always wanted him to catch Tweety.

Sylvester is awesome! He's super cute.

3 Garfield (Garfield) Garfield is a comic strip cat, created by Jim Davis in 1978. Garfield is well-known in many countries and has appeared in over 2.500 newspapers. He has also had 2 live-action movies, 3 CGI-movies and two animated TV shows, Garfield and Friends (1988-1994) and The Garfield Show (2008-2014)... read more

Why is he only number two? He was the best thing ever in my childhood! Is he number two because of his 2004 movie or his new cartoon? My number two would be Felix the Cat. Why isn't he higher? I'm talking too much!

4 Meowth (Pokemon) Meowth, known in Japan as Nyarth, is a Normal-type Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. Designed by Ken Sugimori, it was first introduced in the Pokemon Red and Blue, and is also known as the mascot of Team Rocket in the anime. At level 28, it evolves into Persian... read more

I love him. It's weird - all my favorite characters from most shows are villains, but I think that's because cats are always on the evil side.

Man, Meowth is very cool, but he always gets knocked out by stupid Pikachu!

Very sad past, and still treated badly now. Vote, vote, vote for it.

5 Top Cat (Top Cat) Top Cat is an cartoon character created in the early 1960s by the staff of Hanna-Barbera Productions. He is a yellow alley cat who is the leader of a gang of Manhattan alley cats living in Hoagy's Alley. The gang constantly attempts to earn a quick buck, usually through illegal scams. Top Cat's nemesis... read more

Funny, smart, and good-hearted. The most tip-top, Top Cat.

Yes, he's a chief, he's a king,
But above everything,
He's the most tip-top,
Top Cat.

Coolest cat ever! Along with his gang members Choo Choo, Benny, Spook, Fancy Fancy, and Brain. Viva TC!

6 Felix the Cat (Felix the Cat) Felix the Cat is a funny-animal cartoon character created in the silent film era. The anthropomorphic black cat with his black body, white eyes, and giant grin, coupled with the surrealism of the situations in which his cartoons place him, combine to make Felix one of the most recognized cartoon characters... read more

Felix is number one all the way. Watching him get electrified when I was little was one of my first cartoon experiences.

Felix is an all-time classic that made me love black-and-white cartoons.

7 Hobbes (Calvin and Hobbes) Hobbes is one of the two main characters in the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. He is Calvin's stuffed tiger and best friend, being depicted with two distinct identities.

Without Hobbes, this world would be nothing! There wouldn't even be the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes.

The best! You should put him in the top three. I grew up with him, and he should be much higher.

Hobbes is totally awesome! I love him.

8 Tigger (Winnie the Pooh) Tigger is a fictional tiger character originally introduced in The House at Pooh Corner, the sequel to Winnie the Pooh.
9 Pink Panther (The Pink Panther) Pink Panther is a fictional animated character who appeared in the opening and closing credit sequences of every film in the Pink Panther series except for A Shot in the Dark and Inspector Clouseau.
10 Heathcliff (Heathcliff)
The Contenders
11 Gumball Watterson (The Amazing World of Gumball) Gumball Watterson is a twelve-year-old blue cat who is prone to causing mischief across the town due to not staying inside of the box. He is fairly egotistical and a veteran snarker; despite this, Gumball has a big heart and is surprisingly selfless. Although Gumball can be intelligent at times, he... read more

Are you kidding? Why doesn't Gumball have more votes? He's such a likable and funny character.

One of my all-time favorite cartoon characters. He's just too funny.

12 Cat (CatDog)
13 Snowball V (The Simpsons)

Snowball V, to be exact. Still awesome.

14 Stimpy (Ren & Stimpy)

Stimpy is so awesome! He is my favorite character on Ren and Stimpy. I do not like Ren, though. He looks like a rat or a giant mosquito.

15 Periwinkle (Blue's Clues)
16 Eva (Puppy in My Pocket: Adventures in Pocketville)
17 Spook (Top Cat)
18 Kenny the Cat (SpongeBob SquarePants)

I love cats! They are my favorite animals! Why doesn't Sandy Cheeks, my favorite character, love cats? Come on, Sandy! Kenny is friendly!

SpongeBob SquarePants is awesome, and so is Kenny the Cat.

19 Princess Amy (Puppy in My Pocket: Adventures in Pocketville)
20 Snagglepuss (The Yogi Bear Show)
21 Doraemon (Doraemon)
22 Fancy-Fancy (Top Cat)
23 Benny the Ball (Top Cat)
24 Luna (Sailor Moon)
25 Artemis (Sailor Moon)
