Orange Blossom
Orange Blossom is a staple character who manages a general store within the town. She wears orange apparel and often demonstrates a pragmatic approach to solving problems for the group.
Orange Blossom is overall the best character in the entire franchise. Why?
The 1980s Strawberry Shortcake series was full of flat characters, Orange included, so I can't say much, but I can say that she, like the rest of the girls, was likable. Also, that musical number with Strawberry in Big Apple City was adorable.
When the 2000s came along, Orange, alongside Angel Cake and Strawberry herself, was chosen as one of the main characters. This is when she really got a personality. She was shown as shy but reliable and was always there for her friends. Dejare Barfield was an AMAZING actress. She did a great job as the character, and her singing voice was definitely among the best of the English cast, not counting one-time characters alongside Strawberry, Blueberry, and the best of the best, Rainbow. I swear, watch the Sleeping Beauty episode. Orange gets a solo when she talks about her gift for baby Strawberry, and her voice is amazing.
Now, I think that Berry Bitty Adventures sucks. Everyone is flanderized, and it's hard to like most of the characters. Orange was by far the best of the bunch. She isn't shy like she was before, but she still remains the most relatable of the bunch for me and the most well-rounded character. She didn't become a stereotype like the other girls, or at least she didn't become as bad of a stereotype. Janyse Jaud hits again as well! She was great as Pinkie Pie, and she's great here as well. Her voice gives Orange Blossom the perky personality they were going for. She fit like a glove.
