Top 10 Best Legend of Korra Villains

The Top Ten
Amon Amon is the main antagonist in the first season of The Legend Of Korra and the charismatic and mysterious leader of the anti-bending terrorist organization known as the Equalists.

Legend of Korra really had something going with this character. He was a believable villain with a solid backstory and reasoning for why he was doing what he was doing.

He brought up a lot of points about how non-benders would feel, which weren't explored in Aang's story.

If they had only made Amon the overall villain of the entire series, like Last Airbender had with the Fire Lord, then Korra would've been so much better.

Wow, what can I say? Amon was amazing, the best villain we've seen. It was so interesting to watch his story play out. He was, in my opinion, by far the most terrifying and mysterious. The things he did were believable, and he had legitimate reasons for doing what he did. His backstory was tragic, but it made sense and matched up with what he did.

I'd even go as far as to say that Noatak is my favorite character in Legend of Korra. He's an anti-hero who was eventually corrupted. And for once, he wasn't a power-hungry dictator like some villains we've seen - *cough* Ozai. But Amon was different. He wanted everyone to be equal. He truly believed that bending was the cause of all pain, and he was trying to save everyone. A truly empathetic villain.

His spiral down from the dreams of equality of Noatak to the powerful, vengeful plans of Amon was really cool to see. Also, how little we really knew of him was awesome, as it slowly unfolded. We were given hints, and it slowly built up to the big reveal. I think it was gradual, and that's good because it leaves us - as the viewers - trying to theorize what's going on.

Amon is an anti-hero turned villain, and I found his finale to be really sad. (Spoilers for the end of series one and a trigger warning for suicide and death/murder.) Noatak and Tarrlok were reunited, and they were going to start a new life together, like they'd always wanted. Sailing away on a boat, into the sunset - a questionable happy ending, yes, but one I feel (Noatak, at least) deserved. Seems fine enough, but then it takes a darker turn. Amon is talking, finally feeling free, and he's the happiest he's been in a long time. But then Tarrlok picks up one of the electrical gloves and puts it on. We see Noatak driving, a tear in his eye, and then Tarrlok blows up the boat, killing both himself and his brother.

This moment shows how really dark Legend of Korra can be. I'd even go so far as to call it its darkest scene ever... more

Zaheer

Zaheer was the most badass and the one I remember the most from all the seasons. Being able to fly makes him unique. Sadly, the way they stopped him was pretty lame.

Thank you for putting him on here.

Unalaq
Kuvira

I believe she should be number one because she almost caused the entire Earth Empire to crumble, and that includes the rest of the world. To be honest, if she had captured Republic City, she would have kept going after the Earth Empire.

She had such great development! She deserves to be at the top because she was so ambitious and hard-working. She's honestly a role model if you can see past the wrong things she did.

A dictator who only wanted the best for her people. I can respect that.

Vatuu

The embodiment of all the evil in the world.

Cruelest by far. Very powerful and scary.

Tarrlok
Ghazan
Ming Hua

I adore this villain. Sure, she didn't have that much development, but she deserved better!

Yakone
