Top 10 Best Hunter x Hunter Characters

Killua is a very cool character with so much power. I do not know what he is like further on the show, I have watched till season 3 ep 45. I get interested in what he does. He is smart and just the most attention-grabbing character to me.

It goes without saying that not only is he one of the most dynamic and well written characters of the show, but also experienced one of the most interesting character development. He started off as a lost and confused boy who just recently escaped from his previous assassin lifestyle and was trying to find a way to escape his fate. It was only through meeting Gon that he found his true purpose, he wanted nothing more than a friend. Someone to be there and to take care of. Because unlike the rest of his family, he was able to feel true love and compassion for his friends and only wanted to care for them. He did eventually grow and realized he couldn't just follow around Gon forever, so he decided to spend his time caring for his little sister Alluka, as the Zoldyck family wasn't giving her the love and attention she needed. Thus he finally found his true purpose. To care for those that needed, and through all of the fighting and killing, all he ever wanted was to love someone.

Honestly, I relate more to Killua than to Gon since I know what it is like to have a family who forces their expectations to you and the struggle to not feel lonely. Also, his character development is one of the best in all of anime and even world literature. He goes from lonely, lost and broken to empathetic, compassionate and altruistic kind of person. Honestly, dare I say he is heroic and out of all the characters in Hunter x Hunter, he's the closest one to becoming the ideal hero. And while Melody says that Leorio has the most beautiful heartbeat, I think at the end of the 2011 version of HxH, he'd be at the same level as him, if not greater.

Okay okay. I mean Killua is a very strong character but I would say that too Gon too. Okay so killua has shown very impressive combat skills and he is very powerful but what he doesn't have is kindness. Well he is kind too Gon and kurapika and other characters but that is further in the story I mean when it first started. Okay so if you saw the anime you saw that he was just a oridinary guy at first but once you get deeper in the story you will see that he is a killing wreck. I do like Killua but whenever he is alone he acts destent and not really much of a "nice guy" oh and let me tell you about his family cause that family is a wreck! I truly love Killua but his family is not much of a family. This seems like a hate article and not some cheery paragraph but I just wanted to point this out.

He is so awesome his mix of personality types is so cool to see in the show. He can be kind but he also can become a badass. He's not just a soft character who needs everyone's help.

I like all the other characters but my vote goes to Kurapika, he is calm , smart ,strong and knows how to react in a situation and he has an awesome backstory and how he is working towards his goal. He is so filled with rage and hatred butt he still would think before doing something and not go blind with rage. Kurapika is really underrated and he is not shown as much.

Pika should be higher than Killua, it's just that he doesn't get as much attention and doesn't appear as often as Killua does, and as funny as Killua-Gon moments get, Kurapika-Leorio humour is much better. I wish there was more Kurapika, and I was honestly just so bored of Gon and Killua some times that I almost ditched the anime.

I think kurapika is the best character in hunter x hunter, he's really strong because of how he is a specialist when his eyes turn scarlet. I just think him and leorio need more screen time to prove that they are actually really amazing people. His revenge story is awesome, and the fact that he is losing his life to kill the spiders is incredible

I love Hisoka He is the best character. I-I mean like could you say he isn't just PERFECT?! I am not fully just a simp tho, I like him because of his everything not his looks but how he uses his words, and like normal people say cute he says adorable. I like him because of...well this needs no more explanation, he is everything to me, he motivates to do better (In my mind ofc...haha) I want to be more better for him. So yeah, he is basically my everything, he means a lot to me. I am Bisky you probably know why... Both attracted to Hisoka...Haha

Hisoka sends a vibe down my back whenever he appears in the anime, causing me to want to watch more. It gets me hyped whenever I see him battle. He's both strong and knowledgeable... He's awesome! It's interesting how he wants to kill Gon, but at the same time he'll help Gon in certain times of need, in a way, it makes him kind... I guess. Hisoka wins as one of my favorite characters.

He is my favorite. I love that he is like both villain and friend. He helps out Gon during the Hunter exam and helps Kurapika by telling him about the Phantom Troupe. However, he helps Illumi try and steal Alluka to kill her since they are good acquaintance's or friends. Hisoka is my most favorite. Especially in the musicals.

Well although he likes 12-year-olds he gets no he has good looks . He's very strong and when he smirks I go crazy . He was a bad guy at first but he ended up helping everyone out. When everyone was in trouble I was hoping for hisoka To come and help them because when he comes everything will be okay

I can relate to Gon when it comes to personality, I'm selfish,I'm childish, I'm stupid, and a lot more. Gon is just the best character for me no matter how much someone tries to convince me why this character is terrible and I should like this one better. That one episode in the Chimera Ant Arc was amazing, it truly showed that even the nicest and most friendly characters that would just hurt an opponent rather than kill them showed their dark side that was hiding inside them all this time waiting to be released. I also like the Killua X Gon ships, don't bother asking why, their friendship is just so adorable

Gon is an amazing character! He may be selfish at times but that's how he is. I like how kind he is and he's an adorable cinnamon roll. I love his relationship with Killua. They both help each other in the good times and bad times. And besides, if he weren't here, Killua will never had made a friend, Leorio wouldn't have passed, Kurapika would have never meet them and become friends with them. Gon is a perfect example to a best friend. His smile is the light to the darkness! He's just that loveable

Gon is my favorite Hunter x Hunter character and will always be. With his determination to improve and his effort, he became a character of great admiration of mine. In addition to his immense cuteness, he has a friendly and sympathetic attitude towards everyone he ends up knowing, opposite to what many people say about him, of just being nice to people who would be "useful" to him (hate this: b). I love your relationship with Killua and I hope Alluka leaves him just so they can be together again. The friendship between them is very beautiful and I always go to tears when Killua thinks Gon as best friend and the protagonist too. Just too much for me lol. Another point for me to like Gon is his lively and enthusiastic personality, which makes me love him even more. One moment that changed his reputation was the time of the Ant Chimera, where he showed the dark part of his being, making him even more human! Gon is super sweet and I love how he cares for Killua so much I love how he's so enthusiastic but the reason he's not my first is because he didn't acknowledge his mom. His mom died and I know that he has Aunt Mito but he should at least give her some credit. For all he knows he could've died for his sake and she could've loved him a lot. Gon's logic not to acknowledge her is very flawed. Aside from that I think he's perfect.

Without a doubt the best character. Despite being a villain, he got what I'd consider the best character development in the series, and you really sympathize with him.

How this guy went from a mindless killing machine to barely even wanting to fight Netero and wanting to protect and love a human is the work of the gods.

He was my favorite character ever since he was born in episode 91. Villains always somehow become my favorite character. Like, in Dragon Ball Z how vegeta got introduced.

Pitou is a character with so much depth and potential it's crazy. She (sorry but it's my opinion she's a girl) has a great design, and every scene she's in is great and she has the most iconic scenes. I wish she would stay around because her character developed in a positive way but someone had to kill her. Anyways I believe she could still come back as a protagonist with her abilities and such. Also, she had the most screen time and heart than any of the Chimera ants so why would they kill her off like that.

I really don't understand why some people hate her to be honest. She was clearly brainwashed as a King loving psychocat from birth which was why she was lacking empathy for others. If you hate her for killing Kite you have to hate Killua for being a murderer in his past life which is a reason why I believe in redemption. I wish Pitou comes back somehow I will even accept it either as a cute ghost or show a scene of her at Heaven with Meruem and Komugi. It will be cool if she comes back and helps Gon overcome some of his flaws.

As a character she has a lot of potential to make the story interesting. I know that she is sadly killed by the main character of all people but it will be awesome if she comes back. I want to see her as a more heroic character like maybe become a doctor with Leorio, become Kite's servant (after apologizing to him/her) and even become friends with Gon(that will make it less likely to be killed again.) That's my only wish for Hunter X Hunter if it continues as I refuse to care about it if the main character became too unsympathetic to root for.

I think Leorio should be a bit higher on this list. Throughout the series he's been and Gon, Killua, and Kurapika's side when they needed it the most and deeply cares about them like family. Hell, Leorio went and punched Ging in the face because he was such a father. Although he's not the strongest, he's a great character all and all.

Leirio is a different kind of character than the rest of the main cast. Even though he mostly contributes comedy to the show, he's really kind and helps the rest of the characters rather than being jealous of them because of their combat skills. He's very relatable and has a good role in the story.

The reason I liked him was he was honestly he was very relatable. He didn't have any combat powers (that he used in combat) so he was much more like an average guy. I also empathized with his actions like when he punched Ging.

He's the best character, all the other main four are not too realistic, and he's the most calm in the group and keeps them running. It's also so nice how he wants to be a doctor!

The charisma that he has and mystery of Chrollo's past are enough to draw anyone's attention. And his quest for finding his purpose of life is straight up relatable. Definitely one of the best anime villains.

Chrollo is mesmerizing. I remember falling for him the first time I laid my eyes on him. his mysterious aura is so alluring and he just got that charming and charismatic way of talking. he is so damn fine

If you can understand his character then you will know what a great character this guy is. He is written so well and tbh it is hard to grasp what this guy actually is which makes him intriguing terrifying and amazing at the same time

Absolutely savage, going from a kind and clever teacher into a warrior so powerful to fight the unbreakable Mereum and actually damage/semi stand up to for a few minutes (nobody else even pulled off one second) anyway, Netero, he's inspirational.

His Nen was very unique, and the fact that he'd still pulled his weight with an OP villain. Most unique character of the show and has some of the best quotes too.

I really like how he seems to be a nice mentor, but then is basically just as bad as hisoka.

He's calm and extremely strong and even when he's about to die he'd still be calm. ( Maybe I don't know)

At first I thought Biscuit was gonna be "one of those girls". The type who's weak and frail naive and acts as if her existence is necessary. The type that has no interesting characteristics and is only liked for being cute. I thought she was gonna be saved by Gon or Killua and they'll have some sort of love triangle. Now that was stupid of me. I underestimated HXH for a sec, and I came to realize that a well written anime girl can be created and that Gon and Killuas friendship is FOR REAL. I never would've thought that she was actually strong, and that she would teach them!? That was insane. I thought that having a girl character was unnecessary, but I came to realize that she's like a mother to them and that was it. I enjoyed her screen time. She was pretty cool and actually had something that consists of her besides her cute looks. She's a badass, and I like her a lot.

Biscuit should be number one! She's one of the strongest characters in the entire series, both in personality and fighting skill.

Temporary leader of the Phantom Troupe is absolutely terrifying in terms of combat ability, techniques, speed, and power. All of his observed skills were considered rusty and short of his maximum potential. Additionally, he is a Transmitter that demonstrated only 2 hatsu abilities of incredible force. Implying that he has multiple forms and abilities, he is more than formidable. His pain packer was a conjuration hatsu (80%) and the Rising Sun ability uses emission and transmutation (60 and 100% respectively). Finally, as an additional testament to his foundation in Nen, his skills in Ko, Zetsu, and Shu are masterful.

His so amazing, His lack of speech leads me to wonder what his thinking. His Combat skill is like nothing I've ever seen before in any other anime, His such an amazing charecter and brings a chilling touch to the whole anime, Along with Hisoka. I'd really like to see them in a one to one combat fight

One of the most intriguing and well-written characters of the anime. I simply love Feitan. He's bloody brilliant.

He is so awesome, I totally relate on his more quiet but active sid and his rising sun ability is awesome!

He is a really interesting character and I hope we see more of him in the future especially since we don't actually see him in a lot of fights and can't see his true potential. But he is the strongest out of the Zoldyck family children and Hisoka rated him a 95 given that Hisoka considered himself 100, so I suppose he has a lot of potential as a fighter.

He's such an interesting character. He's in a way the perfect Zoldyck but he's not the heir to the business, he's cold but has a possessive love for Killua. Also he's creepy as all hell and anyone that says otherwise has never watched the series enough.

He's not only one of the most interesting characters but nobody really gets him. He's been through a lot of pain and manipulation over the past 24 years of his life and he's still manipulated by his family. I only feel empathy and love for this character so-

He's a very interesting character with a lot of depth that watchers refuse to look into. All people see is the way he acts (which is not good in any way), but they don't care about his thought process behind it. He acts this way because he really loves killua and that's reason he act manipulative. I'm not saying that is motives are an excuse for his actions, but you have to take them into account. He's also very beautiful. 🤩
