Top 10 Most Anticipated Panels/Presentations at the D23 Expo 2017

The D23 Expo is only a week away! They released the schedule for the panels. Here are the ones to be the most excited for.
The Top Ten
1 Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios Upcoming Films

This seems like an odd choice to be the most excited about. But the topic of this panel is upcoming Pixar and Disney animated films. And do you know what animated movie is coming out next year? Incredibles 2! That is the only reason why this is the panel that I absolutely have to attend! They're gonna give us more information about the movie! And there's a chance that they might show footage from the movie! I would love to see a trailer or scene that won't be shown to the public yet! Of course Incredibles 2 isn't the only movie they'll be talking about. Since Wreck-it Ralph 2 comes out next year, they're gonna have to talk about that. I also hope they give more information about Gigantic and explain why it got pushed back to 2020! This panel will be hosted by John Lasseter. And it will feature celebrity appearances. I went to this panel in 2015 and Dwayne Johnson made an appearance. Also, Ellen DeGeneres was there. This is gonna be very exciting!

2 Walt Disney Parks and Resorts

Since I am a Disneyland passholder, this really interests me. They're going to talk about some of the new things that will be coming to the Disney parks. And that includes all of them. I regret not going to this panel in 2015. James Cameron and Stan Lee were there last time. What I'm hoping they will talk about this year is more Marvel themed attractions. So far, the only Marvel ride in the U.S. theme parks is Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout. From what I've heard, there are plans to build more Marvel rides. And possibly even a Marvel themed land! Speaking of themed lands, they'll most likely give us more information about Star Wars Land. Which opens in 2019 at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. They might also talk about a supposed Ratatouille ride coming to Epcot. If it's anything like the one in Paris, it should be pretty cool. They might also give information about things coming to the parks in the other countries. Can't wait to see what's new to come!

3 Walt Disney Studios Live Action Films

You have no idea how long I had to wait for this panel last time. I fell asleep while waiting in line. It was already pretty crowded by the time I got in line! And it was worth it! I'm gonna try to do it again! This panel will talk about the upcoming live action Disney films. Which includes movies from Walt Disney Studios, Marvel, LucasFilm, and remakes. It's already been announced that they will be showing a teaser trailer for the new movie A Wrinkle in Time. I don't know much about the movie, but it has Oprah in it. There's a love action Mulan remake coming out next year. Hopefully they'll talk about that. And HOPEFULLY they finally announce who will be playing Mulan! I hope she's hot! As for Marvel, we got Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, and some other movies coming out. They usually show never before seen footage of upcoming Marvel films. I really hope that happens this year. And there will most likely be celebrity appearances. At the last one, Chris Evans ...more

4 The Power of the Princess

Girl power! Power of the Princess is one of the new things that are coming to the expo this year. This panel will talk about some of everyone's favorite Disney princesses. It will even feature the voice actresses. Jodi Benson (Ariel), Paige O'Hara (Belle), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana), and Auli'i Cravalho (Moana). I also read that Ming-Na when who voices Mulan was going to be included! I was so excited for that! But they took her off of the list. No idea why. I guess she had to cancel or something. Anyway, these women will be telling stories from the making of these films. That should be pretty interesting. Princesses are a major part of Disney. So I'm looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it happens at the same time as another panel that I really want to see. So I have to make a decision.

5 A Whole New World of Alan Menken

Alan Menken is such a great songwriter! He has written so many great songs! I pretty much like them all! Except for the ones from Hercules and Home on the Range. And at the D23 Expo this year, he's going to be doing a one man concert! He will be playing the piano while singing some of the songs he wrote! And the best part is, he's doing it twice! Yeah! This concert is going to happen twice in one day! So if you can't make it at a certain time, you can try for the other time! I'm certainly gonna go to it! Alan Menken inspired me to become the piano player and performer that I am today! He is such a great guy!

6 Disney Legends Awards Ceremony

At each D23 Expo, it's a tradition to honor celebrities with the Disney Legend awards! Disney Legends are celebrities who have contributed so much to the Disney community. Whether it be acting, directing, animation, and other things. Some celebrities that have gotten the award are Robin Williams, Jim Henson, Jodi Benson, Tony Baxter, and in 2015, they surprised everyone by making Johnny Depp a Disney Legend! I was there for that! So I got to see him! Some of the Disney Legends this year include Mark Hamill, Stan Lee, Carrie Fisher (who won't show up for obvious reasons), and Oprah Winfrey! Wait. Oprah is a Disney legend? Wow. I'm still waiting for the year that they make Jim Cummings a Disney legend! Why haven't they yet? He has done so many voices for Disney movies! Also, I wonder if they're gonna surprise us by making Lin-Manuel Miranda a Disney legend. I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

7 DuckTales Panel

Life is like a hurricane here in Duckburg! Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes! It's a duck blur! Might solve a mystery or rewrite history! DuckTales! Woo-oo! So yeah! DuckTales is getting a rebooted series this year! And it looks like it's going to be awesome! It looks very faithful to the original source material! At this panel, it will feature the producers of the show as well as some of the voice actors. Ben Schwartz (Dewey), Kate Micucci (Webby), and Toks Olagundoye (Mrs. Beakley). Unfortunately, the Tenth Doctor himself won't be there. The panel is going to include a Q&A so people can ask questions. I am really excited for this show!

8 Voices of Disney Parks

The voices of the Disney Parks panel is returning! For some reason, they didn't do it last time. The voices of the Disney Parks is a panel that features the voice actors of some of the attractions that you would see in a Disney park. Such as safety spiels, announcements, and characters. In previous years, they've included Mark Silverman aka the voice on Tower of Terror. I've actually met him three times! Twice by accident. There was also the voice actress who did the safety spiel on It's a Small World, the voice actor of Lincoln in Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, Corey Burton who does the tram voice, and even Bill Rogers who does the nighttime announcements at Disneyland. Fun fact: my mom actually got him to record a video for me to congratulate me for graduating high school two years ago. I also got him to record a voicemail for my phone. They haven't announced who will be attending this year's panel, but I can't wait to find out!

9 Tangled: The Series Panel

In case you've been living in a cave, Tangled has a series on Disney Channel. And it's pretty good. Not as good as the movie, but still decent. The panel for the show will feature the voice actors from the show. Mandy Moore (Rapunzel), Zachary Levi (Eugene), Jeremy Jordan (Varian), and Eden Espinosa (Cassandra). Of course, since I'm into Broadway, I'm mostly excited for Eden Espinosa! She is one of my favorite Broadway actresses! She is also my favorite Elphaba in Wicked! She is very talented! And of course Jeremy Jordan played Jack Kelly in Newsies! I haven't seen that show in person, but I watched it while it was being shown for a limited time in theaters. These are all great actors. Can't wait to see them.

10 Zero to Hero: The Making of Hercules

Wait! I hate Hercules! Why would I be excited for a Hercules panel? Well it's simple! I'm willing to go to any panel that Ron Clements and John Musker will be part of! They are such great directors! I don't care that they made one bad movie! The rest of their movies were good! Aladdin is one of my favorite Disney movies! Also, Susan Egan will be in this panel! She's a great actress! This panel will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hercules. And they're gonna talk about the making of the film. I must admit, it'll be pretty interesting to see how the film was made. In 2015, I attended an Aladdin panel which featured the voice actors for Aladdin and Jasmine and they showed behind the scenes footage. So I'm guessing this will be kind of similar. I'll just have to wait and see.
