In my opinion, he's undeservingly lauded to the point of exhaustion. Ever since his debut, he has always had the luxury of driving a top-performing car with better treatment. The outcome of countless poles and wins is nothing to fawn over.
Put him in a Force India or Williams for at least one year and witness how he'll sweat blood and tears to even clear round one of qualification. A driver like Daniel Ricciardo possesses great skill and capability to turn the game around, even if the car isn't the fastest.
The most overrated driver ever by far! He wins because he's in the fastest car and gets treated far better than his teammate (who is usually a weak driver anyway) every single year of his whole career so far. Alonso or Senna, with that situation, would have at least 10 titles easily.

This might go down like a lead balloon, but he was the dirtiest driver of the '80s and '90s by a long way. Obviously the qualifying king and a great racer, but not a complete racer. Too many collisions that were not needed. But alas, he passed away and, as a result, was placed in immortal status.
