Coming off a championship season and losing several key players, Connecticut comes back fairly strong, still with firepower, looking to win a second consecutive title.

They are the most complete team in my book. It's tough to go back-to-back, but I think they have the best shot of doing so.

  2. Purdue Boilermakers

The Purdue Boilermakers represent Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana. They compete in the Big Ten Conference and are especially known for their successful men's basketball program. Their team colors are black and gold, and their mascot is named Boiler Pete.

Although Purdue has had its fair share of embarrassment in the past few seasons, they return this season with one of the best rosters in college basketball. Zach Edey is one of the best players in college basketball, and if they can stay hot, they can certainly win the national championship.

Houston, moving into a new conference, is as strong as ever roster-wise. Although stopped short in previous seasons, this season they look primed and ready to make a run.

  4. Kansas Jayhawks

The Kansas Jayhawks, commonly referred to as KU, are the athletic teams representing the University of Kansas. They compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the Big 12 Conference. The Jayhawks are especially known for their successful men's basketball program.

On paper, we have a strong team, but this team will either be a boom or bust in March. Our biggest concern is the lack of bench depth. Hunter, Kevin, KJ, and Dajuan are all excellent until they are sidelined for rest or foul trouble. Then we are in trouble.

Another concern is that we cannot win on the road.

Kansas returns with one of the best rosters in recent memory, with Dickinson, McCullers, and many others. With a coach proven to win championships, it is likely they compete for one this season, if not win one.

Last season they were ranked #1 but lost in the 2nd round.

  5. Arizona Wildcats

The Arizona Wildcats are the athletic teams representing the University of Arizona, based in Tucson, Arizona. They compete in the NCAA Division I as a member of the Big 12 Conference. The school is especially known for its men's basketball and baseball programs, with both achieving national success.

Arizona's roster is stacked this season, with players such as transfer Caleb Love and Oumar Ballo leading the way. They definitely have what it takes to get far in March.

  6. North Carolina Tar Heels

North Carolina basketball, led by RJ Davis and Armando Bacot, has both the experience in championship games and a youthful core to compete for a championship this season.

  7. Kentucky Wildcats

The Kentucky Wildcats are the athletic teams of the University of Kentucky, located in Lexington, Kentucky. They compete in the Southeastern Conference and are especially known for their successful men's basketball program. The Wildcats' official colors are blue and white.

Kentucky basketball has not lived up to program expectations in the past few seasons. However, this season they bring in a very talented roster which seems to be running more like a cohesive unit than in previous seasons. Watch out for them in March!

The Tennessee Volunteers represent the University of Tennessee in Knoxville as a college football program. Based in Durham, North Carolina, the Blue Devils are part of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). They are renowned for their men's basketball program, which has won multiple NCAA championships. Their team colors are Duke blue and white.

Duke seems unbeatable right now. Jared McCain and Duke are the hottest they've been this season, and any team they play should be scared to play them.
