The voting period for this list has ended.
The Top Ten
1 Connecticut Huskies The athletic program for the University of Connecticut, commonly known as UConn, is located in Storrs, Connecticut. The Huskies compete in the Big East Conference and are especially known for their dominant women's basketball program. Their colors are navy blue and white.

Coming off a championship season and losing several key players, Connecticut comes back fairly strong, still with firepower, looking to win a second consecutive title.

They are the most complete team in my book. It's tough to go back-to-back, but I think they have the best shot of doing so.

2 Purdue Boilermakers The Purdue Boilermakers represent Purdue University, which is located in West Lafayette, Indiana. They compete in the Big Ten Conference and are known for their strong men's basketball program. Their colors are black and gold, and their mascot is named Boiler Pete.

Although Purdue has had its fair share of embarrassment in the past few seasons, they return this season with one of the best rosters in college basketball. Zach Edey is one of the best players in college basketball, and if they can stay hot, they can certainly win the national championship.

3 Houston Cougars Representing the University of Houston, the Cougars compete in NCAA Division I sports as a member of the American Athletic Conference. Known for a strong men's basketball history, the team has made multiple Final Four appearances. The team colors are scarlet red and albino white.

Houston, moving into a new conference, is as strong as ever roster-wise. Although stopped short in previous seasons, this season they look primed and ready to make a run.

4 Kansas Jayhawks The Kansas Jayhawks, commonly referred to as KU, are the teams of the athletic department at the University of Kansas. They are currently a member of the Big 12 Conference

On paper, we have a strong team, but this team will either be a boom or bust in March. Our biggest concern is the lack of bench depth. Hunter, Kevin, KJ, and Dajuan are all excellent until they are sidelined for rest or foul trouble. Then we are in trouble.

Another concern is that we cannot win on the road.

Kansas returns with one of the best rosters in recent memory, with Dickinson, McCullers, and many others. With a coach proven to win championships, it is likely they compete for one this season, if not win one.

Last season they were ranked #1 but lost in the 2nd round.

Kentucky basketball has not lived up to program expectations in the past few seasons. However, this season they bring in a very talented roster which seems to be running more like a cohesive unit than in previous seasons. Watch out for them in March!

8 Marquette Golden Eagles

With Coach Shaka Smart, Marquette has moved from a place of irrelevance back into the spotlight, with one of the most talented rosters the team has ever seen. They will be trouble this coming postseason, both offensively and defensively, for any team that plays them.

As of 2019, the Volunteers have won 838 games, and six national titles (most recently in 1998). They have never won a Heisman trophy and are under second year head coach... read more

There is no offense in the country more potent this season than Tennessee's. With a high-flying offense and players like Dalton Knecht, they certainly have lofty hopes in terms of postseason performance.

The Contenders
11 Duke Blue Devils Based in Durham, North Carolina, the Blue Devils are part of the ACC. They are renowned for their men's basketball program, which has won multiple NCAA championships. Their team colors are Duke blue and white.

Duke seems unbeatable right now. Jared McCain and Duke are the hottest they've been this season, and any team they play should be scared to play them.

14 Michigan State Spartans Michigan State University is a public research university in East Lansing, Michigan, United States. It is widely known for its men's basketball program, which has won two national championships.

While they may have started out the season in a rough spot, there is no coach that can bring a team back from failure like Tom Izzo. Mark my words, the Spartans will make a run this March.

15 Indiana Hoosiers Hailing from Muncie, Indiana, the Ball State Cardinals are the athletic teams of Ball State University. They compete in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and offer a variety of sports, including men's basketball and women's volleyball. Best team ever. If UConn didn't go against them, they would be in the finals, and still, they were in the semifinals. I'd be stoked if they won.

22 Texas Longhorns Texas Longhorns athletics programs include the extramural and intramural sports teams of the University of Texas at Austin.
