Chester Rocks! I love Linkin Park Because of Him! Such a great singer! He can Sync Both Scream and Clear Voice
What I love about Chester's voice : he can go from such a soft singing voice to such a raging screaming voice. It's just awesome! Chester is the Greatest Screamer in the World! Linkin Park is the Best Rock Band in the World! From Michelle, in Machester, UK
He Is The Best <3 LP'ian ForeverV 51 Comments
He has the best voice ever
I LOVE HIM
YouTube M. Shadows epic scream. Enough said
Matt shadows is the best
Matt sounds better live than Chester does and a better perfomer
M.shadows... (y)V 2 Comments
Is there anyone in the history of rock n roll with such a powerful, controlled scream? Axl Rose is not only one of the greatest singers of all time, but easily the best screamer. Listen to Guns N' Roses Live to hear him capture it.
None of the other candidates, excluding Axl Rose, have a scream even comparable to Steven Tyler. None of the other candidates are even capable of singing Dream On or any other Aerosmith song. His powerful vocals make him one of the best rock singers in the history of the genre, if not the greatest of all time.
Steven Tyler is the best, I love the way he works his way in dream on from a low calm voice to finish with which I honestly consider one of the best screams in Rock n' Roll. Aerosmith forever.
I've never heard any great screams other than Steven's brand of screaming. This man is really an epic vocalist. Hats off.
Tyler wasn't nicknamed "Screamin' Demon" for nothing! No one can beat him!V 7 Comments
The Master. Hands down. 'Child In Time' is legendary.
He was he first rock/metal screamer and the first singer who became famous for his screams so he should be #1. - Metal_Treasure
The standard bearer. So cool and smoothe just powerful.
Listen to any of Sempiternal or earlier and there is no doubt he's is quite simply the best scream in rock right now, if not ever. Also, if That's the Spirit proved anything, it's that he also has one of the best singing voices
Oli has the voice (scream) of and angel, absolutely beautiful and amazing
Oli is hands down the best. His evolution as a singer and a screamer over the years demonstrates his amazing range, and he pulls off melodic screams that I have not heard from any other band. BMTH all the way!
Best screamer I've heard mateV 3 Comments
Too he died before he could have sung with Ben burnley
He might have inspired Ben burnley
He's a great singer, his growling is pure awesomeness and his screams are just amazing. He puts so much emotion into his screaming.
The most brutal screams and growls ever. All other screamers, except for Ivan Moody, Jamey Jasta, Christian Machado and Waylon Reavis + Jmann, are cats, he is a lion.
Ivan moody is second only to Corey. No one can scream like that bastard haha. Chester and M. Shadows are great as well.
Slipknot Iowa albums has a lot of very deep brutal screams but there newest album.5 grey chapter sarcastrophe had a very brutal scream same with the negative one and a little bit of XIX towards the end
I hate slipknot with a passion but Taylors vocals from 1-3 albums are brutal
I live the scream at the end of “The Pot”
On Tourette's he absolutely lets loose and it's the funniest thing ever. But really most of the songs on In Utero showcase his screaming. In All Apologies he is able to scream one syllable and continue the rest in a gentle voice. Scentless Apprentice is all screaming, and Milk It has some good screaming too. On Nevermind there's Lounge Act and Endless, Nameless. He only screams when he feels it's important, and he does provide emotion and lyrical power in his screams that other screamers can't match. Tourrette's sounds like mindless ranting but the lyrics are still pretty poetic. So he gets my vote.
Okay... you had to vote to say something, but HE DOESN'T EVEN SCREAM.
Listen to endless nameless and negative creep, he screams his head off on those songs
His screams have that feelings compared which other screams seem bland
What a disgrace that axel rose placed higher than Kurt. He should be 2nd if not first.V 3 Comments
Listen to Under pressure.
Where is this guy?
No one in rock history EVER screamed like Halford!
Why the metal god is so low? This guy's got great screams. - Metal_Treasure
He should definitely be at top 3 - zxm
He is the best. Simply put. This man is my idol and if he ever needed me to do anything for him I would. Breath is the only song that can almost put me to tears every time I hear it and his voice is the only one that can move me in the way it does. Nothing can compare to how I feel after I listen to any song. New or old. My only wish is to hear him live.
I like his voice, and he was born in the same month that I was enuff said
Burnely has an amzaing voice! It combains sounds of angel with devil's scream, like in Foever and Breakdown. All songs are different, but his voice it is everything for me, I've loved this band for recent 5 years with old guys and love them today with a new ones ( even more because of one guy from Red). Shortly say, Ben is one and only
I just believe he is a phenomenal singer, his screaming on the new Asking Alexandria song 'Run Free' is unbelievably intense, he definitely deserves a Top 5 position, I mean his singing voice after the vocal training is so amazing too, a truly talented vocalist in my opinion.
One of the only metalcore singers that can do it live
Just hope he lives for a while longer,
This guy parties hard
You just don't get do u
He's not a typical screamer (not scream-style singer) but he screams pretty often and his screams are awesome - emotional, powerful, melodic and always spot on. The scream to 'Fiddler on the Green' is 10-11 sec long and is brilliantly crafted. He did some screams for other bands as a guest musician, which means he's really good.
Demons & Wizards - My Last Sunrise, Fiddler on the Green, Poor Man's Crusade;
Blind Guardian - The Last Candle, This Will Never End, Bright Eyes. - Metal_Treasure
His intro scream to 'Don't Bring Me Down' by Northern Kings is epic!
He loves screaming and does that on almost every song. - Metal_Treasure
His screams are his trademark.
Randy Blythe is one of the most professional screamers. He is using all screaming techniques with a really nice sound, many years of experience, Courses with Mellissa Cross. He just know what is doing without destroying his voice
He's one of the masters on this list and he screams a lot although he's not a typical screamer.
Try: Hounds, Hall Of The Mountain King. - Metal_Treasure
Mysteria by Edguy contains one of the best screams I've ever heard (intro scream)
This scream is 10-11 sec long, it's complex and it's perfectly crafted. Tobias Sammet - great job! - Metal_Treasure
He is an awesome singer, when he scream like in death blossom you can be sure that you are listening the best lyricist in the world
Can't find a single live video where he isn't terrible
I honestly love his screaming it can range from ranges unknown to the naked ear I just honestly don't see how he isn't higher on the list.
Ivan has a brutal scream, and can do it consistently.
I am still not to sure how he screams like he does.V 1 Comment
We don't get fooled again!
His screaming is brutal, mostly on 3 Dollar Bill Y'all$, and that pretty much makes up for everything else that he might lack. Definitely should be higher up in the ranks, especially seeing a couple that shouldn't be there
How is he not #1? Have you heard him on 3 Dollar Bill Yall$?
Cleanest screams, and best well timed in my opinion... Should be ranked higher, maybe around 10th or so... Band itself, unfortunately! Only downfall, and maybe the ranking, from live shows I have seen, seems to back off on intensity of screams heard on recordings...
Amazing vocals, great range, the ability to sing and scream at the same time makes him sound better than most singers.
Just listen--please just listen--to his scream near the end of Comfortable Liar
Pete is the best simply putV 1 Comment
Second only to Little Richard. Screamers that followed only did so because McCartney (and to a slightly lesser extend, Lennon) did it so well.
Needs to be higher, the end of “shadow on the sun” is just amazing
Great vocal range!
How is he not #1? Just listen to Freedom.
Zack doesn't mess around, man. Just loom at his live performances. - phillysports
He has pure anger in his voice.
He should definitely be higher up. He should be in the top 3, he's better than most of the people on this list, and if you don't agree listen to choke me, sound effects and overdramatics, box full of sharp objects and listening. He is even better live when he adds in extra, more intense screams.
chack out his scream on careful with that axe eagene and ull see what I mean. - russian
Great vocal range in his scream. Listen to Unleash Hell, never trust the hazel eyed, some like it cold and air raid siren.
David Lee Roth should be second behind Steven Tyler
Should be #2 behind Rob Halford.
David Lee Roth and Sebastian Bach," Slave to the Grind"... Mudkicker! That's how you scream.
Chino moreno, the best of the creamers now in 2013... Check out, riviereV 1 Comment
#1 should be for an artist/poet whose ethereal screams were born of the tormented anguish of true longing and pain. Jim Morrison.
Jim Morrison should be on the first position. Man, he is the founder of screaming.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! WHEN I VOTED, HE WAS 50 SOMETHING. MY VOTE PUT HIM UP TO 30, BUT IT'S STILL WAY TOO LOW! In all seriousness, I'm not some crazy fan-girl (or guy, in my case) that only likes Andy for for his looks. He deserves to at least be in the top ten. The only reason I might put my vote towards anyone else is because Andy said in his documentary The Making of Andy Biersack, that he only screamed in his first album because he didn't know how to write bridges. I might be taking that the wrong way, but I think he doesn't appreciate screaming that much. That's sad because he has (in my opinion) the best scream ever.
His scream is so powerful and can reach high vocal points that are just astounding I mean this guy has true vocal talent.
ANDY BIIERSACK IS THE BEST! 1
Such a hard choice between Chester Bennington, Benjamin Burnley, and Michael Barnes. But in my opinion Michael gets it.
This is a truly unfair list. Listen to Release The Panc, Let Go and Feed The Machine. He should be at least top 5.
Why is he not #1
Puts everyone on this list to shame
Totally agree. Aaaah Leah! Should be top of the list. !
Seen lots of these live - however this guy can reproduce every time. Doesn't loose voice doing it either. He's like 70+ and STILL outdoes most on this list - that's sort of amazing in and of itself. Check YouTube of this guy, you won't believe he's still rock'in like he does.
