Top 10 Best Spider-man Video Games of All TimeThere are numerous electronic games featuring the popular Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man that have been released. To date, Spider-Man has made appearances on over 15 gaming platforms, which also includes mobile games on mobile phones. But what is the best?
Four different versions of Spider-Man are playable in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, a game from Activision and Beenox. Four different incarnations of Spider-Man, from the Amazing, Noir, 2099, and Ultimate universes, are featured in the game, voiced by veteran Spider-Man voice actors Neil Patrick Harris, Christopher Daniel Barnes, Dan Gilvezan, and Josh Keaton, respectively. It was released on September 7, 2010. Preorder bonuses are availible for purchase.
I love this game, after Andrew Garfield's movie released, I bet when they made the game, they pushed this game back to do
Something for a change like being a side game and not being the
Most awesome and made Spiderman Shattered Dimensions the
Side game but let's talk about the game. You can play 4 different Spider-suits through out different dimensions and they don't look like how they should be, making people have different appearances of the villain, I wish they gave us Iron Spider and I'll
Tell you, the hardest dimension is Noir, and if the villains were very,15000 times better than the ones they used, Noir Spiderman would pee his little pants, Amazing, Noir,2099 and Ultimate are the versions. LOVE THIS GAME ALONG WITH THE #1!
Even though it wasn't a open world game, it was awesome because of how all the various different versions, of
Spider man and his most famous vilians. Green Goblin, Hobgoblin, Juggernaut, Deadpool, Electro, Carnage, Doctor Octupus, Lizard, Sandman, Kraven, Vulture and Hammerhead
Best Spider-Man video game ever! I thought it was hard at first but got used to it after a long time and ended up loving it! It's a vast improvement over Web Of Shadows! Second best superhero game of all time!
This game has a great combat system, and you can really see how much the upgrades influence combat. The story was interesting, at least to me, but I'm a sucker for any game with the symbiotes in it, plus, we got great web slinging, even if the webs did occasionally attach themselves to the sky. The morality system does make sense, given a symbiote's influence over it's host, and I didn't find any area of the game particularly lacking.
Plus, this game had the best spiderman jokes.
This game may have a few glitches, but the quality of gameplay is what I believe to matter most in open-world games like this one. The moves are quite easy to learn and remain interesting even after hours of playing due to the smoothness of the "Spider-Man Agility" and the sadly undermined suit changing during combos to create new move sequences.
I won't tell anything about the web-swinging because it would be an entire post on its own. I could literally web-swing all day and not be tired of it.
I have not played the top two games here so I will not argue about ranking, but this game deserves to be in the top 3. The fights are never boring due to variation of enemy abilities and locations. (Yes, I have seen games with thugs on rooftops but the walls? Aerial fights are also great.)
The hero backup is very good, their A.I. is certainly tuned to help you and not get in your way. The last point is about the (zombie?) symbiotes - the weaklings there to ...more
The best combat, story, and swing mechanics make this the greatest Spidey game so far. The good/evil choices are fun and the multiple endings add replay value. The story has a few moments that actually branch off depending on your choices. It has a few A list villains but not as many as The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game. And this still being the only Spidey game with a new game+ feature really solidifies it as the best Spidey game to date. Oh and Wolverine is in it. That too.
Spider-Man appears as the lead in Spider-Man: Web of Shadows voiced by Mike Vaughn. Released on October 21, 2008, Web of Shadows has received mixed reviews with critics praising the idea of an original story, but citing poor polish and execution. Three separate versions of the game were released: a 3-D action game for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Microsoft Windows, a 2.5D sidescrolling beat em up action game for the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 2 (called Amazing Allies Edition), and a 2.5D side-scrolling brawler/platformer for the Nintendo DS.
This Game is not the Best Spider-Man game. I think it's just a moderate Spider-Man game that is modern. I think Edge of time and Shattered Dimensions are better.
This game as a modern Spiderman game doesn't give you the quality you want from a modern spidey game. But it's not a bad game.
A game based on the movie of same name that will be out in 2012. The game is being developed by Beenox and Activision, the same developers of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time.
It is awesome, it has a great storyline great gamplay, the best one I've played and when they make the amazing spiderman 2 game it will be just as good.
You Know this Game is Not the Best Spider-Man game.
I think it's just a moderate, modern Spiderman game.
This is the best spider-man video game I've ever played! The graphics are really fantastic and they stay true to Brian Michael Bendis' Ultimate Spider-Man comic. The web slinging on this game is the most realistic and most fun web swinging on a spiderman game since 2004's Spider-Man 2 game. The boss might be hard, but the combat is still fun and exciting. The story is so awesome and comic bookey. Spider-Man looks so awesome and he's so hilarious and amazing to play as. What makes this game even better is that I can play Venom and he is just so awesome to play as! I had so much fun playing this game!
Spider-Man is featured in Ultimate Spider-Man voiced by Sean Marquette. Based on the Marvel Comics' Ultimate Spider-Man, it was released on September 22, 2005 for Nintendo GameCube, Xbox, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, PC, Mobile Phones, and Game Boy Advance. In this game, players get to play both hero Spider-Man and fan-favorite villain Venom in their own storylines. The game also introduces the new Comic Inking Animation technology, cel shading that makes the entire game appear as if it were a living comic-book. The writing and art design for Ultimate Spider-Man were done by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley, respectively, who both have worked on the comic book series of the same name since it was launched. The game's plot line also supposedly fits into the USM chronology, with issues 86 - 88 being advertised dealing with the aftermath of the events of the game. However, the issues did not deal with the game, and in fact had several continuity errors with the game (E.G. silver Sable ...more
I have played this, web of shadows, friend or foe, spiderman 1-3, and shattered dimensions. I can honestly say that this game has the best storyline and kept me coming back to play it more. The only other spiderman game I can say has come close to being as good as this is shattered dimensions with its three different types of game play and it was hard to chose between the two.
I definitely think this is the best Spidey game to come out so far "PS4 will probably be better though" But it's amazing! Sure it's old but it has a great story, great game play, great bosses, and a great map! It's extremely old but yet it's still the best Spidey game of all time and one of my favorite games of all time!
As the live-action Spider-Man movie was released in 2002, a game developed by Treyarch titled, Spider-Man: The Movie was developed for PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube with a separate title developed by Digital Eclipse Software for Game Boy Advance. The game play was similar to that of Neversoft's previous Spider-Man game, except it featured for the first time aerial combat, and to an extent allowed the user to 'web sling' over New York openly, although not being able to land on the ground below. The game sported the voice of the actors from the film, including Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe, cult icon Bruce Campbell, and including Josh Keaton as Harry Osborn and in a bonus story-mode where he wears Harry's Green Goblin gear
I'm very surprised this is not number 1.This game, specially on the gamecube, was a BLAST. It was probably the first time where spiderman had to use buildings to websling, it had DOZENS of different tricks with Very precise and easy button combinations, And, in my opinion, the FASTEST and most fun webslinging around. It was so NON linear, ALL of Manhattan was for you to Explore and Move around in. You could mess around with thugs in SO MANY ways, hang from helicopters, Find a lot of secret hideouts... This game was so groundbreaking for it's time. I Still Swing about the city to this day. Webslinging in this game wasnt just
The Spiderman game that is still extremly fun to this day. I remember playing this for the first time (I was 6 years old) and it truly felt like I was swinging from building to building, falling to the ground and then shooting my webs. The boss battles are still pretty fun and the story does follow the film (which is not as bad as you would think). I've played a lot of Spiderman games over the years and this one is still the best. I hope next year's PS4 game will be just as good (or even better)
1. Best swinging, sweet momentum actually doesn't swing on clouds like every game for the past 9 years
2. Best story obviously as it's based on the best Spider-Man movie too
3. Perfect combat not too basic not to complex
4. Graphics aren't that bad, 2004 what do you expect
5. Black cat was so good
Okay, this is an AMAZING Spider-Man game. It takes the formula that Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham series had, and imported it into Spider-Man. I love the Arkham games, and I love Spider-Man. That's why this is the best Spidey game ever, or even best superhero game ever. It is for me, tied with Batman: Arkham City.
This is not just the best Spider-Man game so far, but it's also one of the best Spider-Man stories of all time too.
Get this to #1. It's the best, and there's absolutely no competition for it.
I have played it. Should improve it web swinging ability.
Spider-Man: Edge of Time is an adventure game that was developed by Beenox and Activision, the same companies that developed Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The main characters for this game are: the Amazing Spider-Man, voiced by Josh Keaton, and the Spider-Man 2099, voiced by Christopher Daniel Barnes. Storyline: Two Spider-Men help each other to save their worlds. Spider-Man 2099 and The Amazing Spider-Man are the only playable characters in the game.
Love this game! It should be in 4th but 6th is not bad I guess...
This game should be number 1, not number 8!
Best Spiderman game of all time.
The official game based on the movie, you cannot free roam and the controls are pretty much like Spider-Man (2000), but all together the game is very enjoyable and there are many surprises around almost every corner, especially when your at Oscorp. You can even play as the green goblin.
Hello, this is an old version of spiderman. But this game is
Totally awesome. As in you fight a lot of bosses etc. And in this game you put cheats which can give you skins of spiderman 2099 etc.
This one is clearly a top three. This should be renamed to "most popular games", because, Amazing Spider-Man in first? Really?
His game was a huge part of my childhood. My brother and I got it when it first came out and played it for hours on our brand new PS1. Nostalgia wins!
The Spider-Man 3 game was released at the same time as the film. The game is on all formats, with the PlayStation 3 receiving a Collector's Edition featuring an exclusive playable character - Harry Osborn's "New Goblin" persona. The black suit was handled differently by the different development teams that worked on the game, with some opting to keep the player in the costume until a certain point in the game whilst other versions of the game utilised the suit in a more strategic fashion, allowing the player to don or remove the costume while suffering side effects appropriate to how much the suit is worn. In October 2007, the New Goblin was released onto the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, making the PC version of Spider-Man 3, besides the PS2 and Wii, the only version developed by Treyarch not to have the New Goblin as a playable character (Excluding fight against Sandman).
In 2007, two Spider-Man 3 games were released for mobile devices, developed by Javaground USA and produced by Sony ...more
Not as bad as critics say but still a bit of a step down from the previous game. Although it has better side missions and graphics and many more villans. The web swinging was not as good and buildings in the city looked dull
Such an under rated spiderman game. It has great combat, great missions and overall very fun to play.
Wasn't a very good game, but it was defnitely better than the movie.
Which is rare
My personal favorite Spider-Man game that I grew up with and still own to this day. It brings back many good memories and has very fun and challenging gameplay. I'm still trying to complete the game on the hardest difficulty without cheating. Since my original Xbox no longer seems to work, I play this game (along with Spider-Man 2) on my Xbox 360, it's a compadible game
My all time favorite Spider-Man game, has challenging and very fun gameplay. Still have and play this game on a 360
I've played this game it's a good pass time.
This game was awesome but only because of the playable green goblin (no not the skin) it was something I wish theyd include in the newer games, was awesome gliding and throwing bombs etc
In this game you can play even as the villains.
Good game for the kids
Ridiculously over the top combat, but great playable villains
I think this one its awesome!
The first game include venom and spiderman vs carnage that's badass
Best of carnage
How the hell is this #33? It's awesome!
This is my childhood
This game should at the number 1 position. It is a good game with a library of different suits. It is better than any spiderman game ever.
For what it's worth this game wasn't all that bad. Not the best but certainly top 10.
I have played and completed this game it is really amazing like its name...ultimate graphics
I love this game. When I redo my best video game list, this will be on it.
This is the most legit spider man game with the best retro combat, wall crawling, web swinging, and retro graphics and soundtrack
This game is not made yet.
Its not just the first spiderman game, it's the first Marvel comics video game.
Spider-Man reprises his role as a playable character in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which is an enhanced version of Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. He is once again voiced by Josh Keaton.
Best game in the world.
