Top Ten Canadian Cities

Please don't vote just because you know it, like "Oh Toronto I know that so voting Toronto yep".

Also, I can't enforce this but PLEASE:

°Make sure the entry has at least 100,000 people living in there, excluding some cities that are famous worldwide (like Niagara Falls).
°That data is from the 2011 Canadian census.

The Top Ten

1 Montréal, Québec Montréal, Québec

The most cosmopolitan city in Canada. There's a reason why Alfa Romeo named a car after Montreal and no other Canadian city. There's a reason why Formula 1 chose Montreal. Montreal is the most adored Canadian city in Europe and also Russia. With the rich cultures that the European countries possess, their opinion should count for A LOT.

I don't get it. How is this first! The only reason people like this city is because everyone "speaks a different language". Toronto should be first! It has something for everyone. It is good for sports lovers, animal lovers, foodies, beach lovers, nature lovers, and amusement park lovers - Mono

This beauty... Lovely french Canadian culture in a Paris-like heaven... Its French-Toronto, and its not dangerous, the city of Quebec...

Calling thi city home is an honour, that's how nice it is, you feel safe, great tourism, a bustling commerce center

2 Toronto, Ontario Toronto, Ontario Toronto is the most populous city in Canada, the provincial capital of Ontario, and the centre of the Greater Toronto Area, the most populous metropolitan area in Canada.

Way better than "bonjour"

Close first against Niagra falls. Both are great, but just pushing to first place is toronto with the skyline, everything for everyone like what one commentator on the montreal section said: "It has something for everyone. It is good for sports lovers, animal lovers, foodies, beach lovers, nature lovers, and amusement park lovers" - Mono. Amazing city, and I wish I was rich enough to live in downtown.

Toronto is an amazing city. Besides CN Tower, Rogers Center and some other typical tourist attractions, I love very much Toronto Islands, Edwards Gardens, Distillery District, and Scarborough Bluffs (and its beach).

I'm quite sure this picture is taken from Toronto Islands. - Metal_Treasure

I've visited Prague, Berlin, Los Angeles, Seattle, Baltimore, Detroit, Ottawa, Vancouver, and a handful of other big cities around Europe and North America. Good old T.O. tops them all. - PetSounds

3 Vancouver, British Columbia Vancouver, British Columbia Vancouver is a coastal seaport city in western Canada, located in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia.
4 Niagara Falls, Ontario Niagara Falls, Ontario

Of course, number 1 for me is Niagara Falls, Ontario. The whole city is beautiful and lively, and it reminds me of a more child-friendly Las Vegas (the main street, I mean). The hotels are wonderful, and of course the falls are best. - AsianBlood

This is my favorite place in Canada. And in the world.
The grandeur of the Horseshoe Falls and the rainbows, that appear very often, can't be described. - Metal_Treasure

It's. So. BEAUTIFUL! - RiverClanRocks

5 Calgary, Alberta Calgary, Alberta Calgary is a city in the Canadian province of Alberta. It is situated at the confluence of the Bow River and the Elbow River in the south of the province, in an area of foothills and prairie, about 80 km east of the front ranges of the Canadian Rockies.

Should be at least number 3 - braydonaweimer

6 London, Ontario London, Ontario

I live here, and this may be biased but I honestly find this city to be beautiful. It is called "The Forest City" for a reason, and trees are everywhere. A project recently started to plant a million more trees, even. The parks are wonderful and if you live near one time always passes by peacefully. However, do not go to the North unless you have business. It is what I would call the Baltimore Projects of Canada, except less violent. - AsianBlood

7 Edmonton, Alberta Edmonton, Alberta

It has one of the largest shopping malls in the world, and the city itself is pretty nice and secluded. - AsianBlood

8 Québec City, Québec Québec City, Québec

Definitely better than montreal, especially if you love snow! - Mono

Maybe even more beautiful than Montréal or at least equally beautiful.
It's the capital of Québec. Population: 516,625 (2011). - Metal_Treasure

9 Ottawa, Ontario

Should be number one for many reasons

10 Halifax, Nova Scotia

The Contenders

11 Hamilton, Ontario Hamilton, Ontario

Has nice beach - Mono

12 Winnipeg, Manitoba
13 Iqaluit, Nunavut Iqaluit, Nunavut
14 Newmarket, Ontario
15 Markham, Ontario
16 Barrie, Ontario
17 Victoria, British Columbia
18 Aurora, Ontario
19 Vaughan, Ontario
20 St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador
21 Dorval, Québec

A little district-city of Montreal, but its truely beautiful

22 Kelowna, British Columbia

How did this hellhole make the list? - braydonaweimer
