You expect a Disney princess to be kind, brave, and ready to put other people first, but sometimes you watch one make a choice that has you yelling at the screen. Maybe she ignores perfectly good advice, drags everyone else into her personal drama, or gets so focused on what she wants that the people around her become an afterthought. Of course, you can also argue that chasing freedom, love, or a dream does not automatically make someone selfish, which is where things get interesting.

Mother Gothel raises Rapunzel just like she's her kid, and whenever she has the chance, Rapunzel tries to run out of the tower as far as she can. And she forces Flynn Rider to take her away, or she'll never give him back the crown, which really annoys me. That's kinda selfish of a Disney princess.

I think Ariel is more selfish because she left her family to be with some guy she only met once, so it was obvious she liked him for his looks. And she only saved Eric. She saved him from drowning and just sat next to him and sang, not caring about the others on the ship.
And some people are saying Merida is selfish. Well, she kinda is, but how would YOU feel if you were forced to marry someone you don't know? She just wanted to do what she wanted, which was to be free from the forced marriage. I LOVE Merida because I love archery (bow and arrows), so yeah, I think Merida was being a little selfish for turning her mom into a bear, but still, she didn't mean to. She thought it was going to change her mind about the marriage.

If you don't call her selfish, you are an alien. She risked the life of her mom. That is why she is higher than Ariel. Like, kid, you are crazy, you know that. She just cares for herself.
When people say Mulan and Merida would make the besties, they are wrong. Sure, they have the same interests, but Mulan cares for others. Merida does not.

Ever since I was a child, I hated Jasmine. I felt she was an ungrateful, ignorant, and selfish child who sits in her castle complaining while people in her kingdom are starving. She then abandons her father to escape her duty, and when she sees how tough the outside world is, she comes running back (to try and free Aladdin, fine), but she never went back outside the palace. She really is the worst.
