If you play fantasy football, it's common to have a punishment in place for the person who finishes in last place. Usually, a punishment involves doing something embarrassing or inconvenient.

    Easily one of the most common challenges is the 24-hour challenge. For this challenge, the person must go to the nearest Waffle House (or any restaurant works for this challenge), but basically, they are stuck there for 24 hours.

    Time is reduced by eating a certain item off the menu, usually a waffle or pancake, and reduces time by either 30 minutes or 1 hour. There are multiple variations to this punishment, but it's one that is very brutal for the unfortunate victim.

    This one is a tried-and-true classic punishment. Basically, the loser must go to open mic night at the local stand-up comedy club. Make sure the rest of the league shows up to boo and heckle.

    This punishment could be made either better or worse by deciding if the person has to write their own material or if the league mates get to write it instead. The same idea is also applicable for karaoke nights too.

  3. Stuffed Animal Date

    Talk about humiliating - this one definitely checks that box. Call this a date night from hell. The loser must go out on a date to a nice restaurant, preferably. Instead of a date, they must bring either an inflatable, a cardboard cutout, or a stuffed animal.

    Make sure the person buys an appetizer, meal, and dessert for their special guest too. Let the waiter know ahead of time for best results.

    Another simple punishment that's good, clean fun. Basically, the loser must set up a lemonade stand, ideally in a busy area, and stay there until a predetermined amount of money is made, usually $50 or $100.

    This one is fairly simple but just requires access to a standard high school track. The person must chug a glass of milk prior to each lap.

    Some ways to ramp up the difficulty include making it two miles or doing it in the summer heat.

    For those who are a bit more bold, this is a fairly common punishment in which the loser has to get a tattoo on their body. What the tattoo is and where it is would be determined by the rest of the league.

    Obviously, this is a pretty permanent punishment, so make sure you know what you're getting yourself into before the season if you do come in last.

    This is a pretty common punishment I hear about. It's pretty self-explanatory: the loser must take the ACT or SAT test and might need to get a certain score or do it again. Basically, it's a huge inconvenience for whoever has to face this challenge.

  8. Being the Butler

    This is a very straightforward punishment. The league can decide when to do this, usually at the Super Bowl party or the draft night get-together. Basically, the loser is responsible for serving beverages and food to everybody else in the league.

    Another option would be for the loser to go to each league mate's house individually and complete specific tasks like cleaning. To add further insult, this person could be forced to wear a special outfit, like a maid outfit, or something else determined by the rest of the league.

    This is a simple one. The loser must get a bumper sticker or license plate that says, "I suck at fantasy football," and must display it on their vehicle for a predetermined amount of time, typically a month, until the following season, or until the next person loses.

I'd definitely recommend setting limits on what they're allowed to post so that the victim doesn't get into trouble with work, school, or anything like that.

    This punishment is kind of a two-for-one. First, it involves reading a book decided by the rest of the league. It can be anything really (I've seen the new Kamala Harris book being a popular pick). Then they must create and present a whole book report on said book in front of the rest of the league and receive a high enough grade to pass, or they have to start all over again.

  15. Puzzle in the Dark

    A common one I see circulating on the internet recently, the loser must complete a puzzle in a dark room or closet with only a headlamp and cannot leave until the puzzle is finished. This puzzle can be any number of pieces, such as 300, 500, or 1,000, to ramp up the difficulty. This sounds like pure torture to me.

  16. Spend the Night in the Woods

    The loser must basically camp in the woods for a night. They can be given a certain number of items, usually three or fewer, to assist them. To increase the challenge of completing this punishment, they could get only one item or nothing at all. This would obviously be terrible to have to do, but could be even worse if the weather is cold, rainy, or windy.

  17. Calendar Photo Shoot

    The loser must do a calendar photo shoot, and it's as embarrassing as it sounds. The league can decide what the poses for each month are and how spicy the pictures should be. To add another element to this punishment, the person would then have to sell them until they make 50 or 100 dollars.

    This would genuinely be terrible for whoever the unfortunate loser is. It's pretty straightforward. They would obviously have to train for it and complete the marathon. It could be hilarious for the league if the person is not a runner.

    There are multiple options like this one. I've seen the Blazin' Challenge at Buffalo Wild Wings be a punishment. Basically, the person has to eat something incredibly spicy. It's something quick and easy.

  20. Paintball Target

    The loser must run through a paintball course with no protection while the rest of the league shoots at them for a certain amount of time, maybe five minutes tops. It's painful but a pretty quick one.

    There are a few variations to this one. It basically involves qualifying to make the U.S. Open in a sport the loser is terrible at. It should be funny for the league and a humbling experience for the loser.
