Top 10 NFL Coaches on the Hottest Seat Going Into the 2025 Season

The Top Ten
Brian Daboll (New York Giants)

Was kind of surprised he wasn't fired last year. Unless their rookie QB Jaxon Darts impresses and the team overachieves, he's probably gone.

He needs to show that 2022 wasn't a fluke.

Mike McDaniel (Miami Dolphins)

While his tenure started off pretty well, the team went just 8-9 last season, and there are concerns about Tua's health and future.

If they miss the playoffs again, they could have a new head coach in 2026.

Zac Taylor (Cincinnati Bengals)

He made the Super Bowl in 2021 but has missed the playoffs two seasons in a row.

If they don't make the playoffs this year, there will be serious discussions about them moving on.

Shane Steichen (Indianapolis Colts)

He had a good first season, but the problem is that Anthony Richardson has not looked good. To his credit, he hasn't done that bad all things considered, but I don't expect the Colts to be okay with being mediocre for this long.

Brian Callahan (Tennessee Titans)

Last season was a disaster. I know it was just his first year, but they were the worst team in football.

He'll get a chance with Brian Callahan, but don't be surprised if he is on the chopping block after just two seasons.

Raheem Morris (Atlanta Falcons)

While this is just his second season, his first year was an absolute mess. Cousins looked terrible, and if second-year QB Michael Penix Jr. underwhelms and the team is bad again, I think he could be on the chopping block.

Kevin Stefanski (Cleveland Browns)

While he has made the playoffs twice, the team significantly regressed last year. If things don't get better this season, don't be surprised if the Browns decide to move in a different direction.

Brian Schottenheimer (Dallas Cowboys)

I know this is just his first season, but this was a very underwhelming hire to begin with. I don't know if Jerry Jones knows what he's doing.

If they have a bad season, I wouldn't count anything out.

Jonathan Gannon (Arizona Cardinals)

The Cardinals have improved under his watch, increasing their win total by 4 games last season, but Kyler Murray has still been mediocre.

Additionally, the team did not have a strong finish last season after a decent start. If they finish with a losing record again, don't be surprised if they move on.

Mike Tomlin (Pittsburgh Steelers) Michael Pettaway Tomlin is an American football coach who is currently the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He became the team's 16th head coach in 2007. Under his leadership, the Steelers won Super Bowl XLIII and have consistently remained playoff contenders.

I hate to put him on the hot seat as he's a good coach, but the team has not won a playoff game in almost a decade and has done a poor job handling the team's QB situation.

He is probably not getting fired this year, but he's under a lot of pressure.
