Top 10 Philadelphia Eagles Players Going Into the 2025-26 Season

The Eagles faithful have to be pretty impressed by how their team looks right now. The Eagles are flying high as Super Bowl champions once again, for the second time in about a decade.

They didn't just win this Super Bowl. They dominated Kansas City in every aspect of the game. It wasn't even close. The final score doesn't do it justice.

The Eagles bring back a lot of the same players from that team too. This is easily the most talented team in the league right now, so it was a little tough to narrow down the top 10 players.

I have to be honest, this is a team that has all the pieces in place to be just as dominant in 2025-26, if not even more so than last season.

Look out, NFL, because the Eagles could very well go back to back. Tough to see anyone stopping them in the NFC, that's for sure.
The Top Ten
Saquon Barkley Saquon Rasul Quevis Barkley (born February 9, 1997) is an American professional football running back for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL)... read more

Saquon is far and away the best running back in the NFL right now. He finished with over 2,000 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns. He nearly broke the all-time regular season record for rushing yards. He was also named Offensive Player of the Year. He has great speed and agility and has the ability to make big plays.

Saquon is truly one of the most dynamic players in the entire league. Some may even argue he had a case for MVP. He also finally got his ring. While he's not quite a Hall of Fame lock as of now, a few more seasons of elite production and a few more First Team All-Pros would probably get him there.

In any case, there's no denying that he's a total game changer and finally dominating like his days at Penn State. I'm so happy this guy actually got a ring.

Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts is a top 5 quarterback in the league right now. There, I said it. He's been to 2 Super Bowls and has a ring.

Even if the tush push is a broken play, there's no discrediting how he's played in critical moments, showing up when it matters the most. His 2,903 yards still put him top 20 in the league. His 18 passing touchdowns also rank tied for 20th.

He won't blow you away with his stats, but he is one of the more efficient and effective quarterbacks in the league who can do it all. He can run and pass the ball well. He just doesn't turn the ball over. He won't lead a team to the Super Bowl on his own talent (let's be honest, the Eagles had the best overall roster), but he's still one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

Lane Johnson David Lane Johnson is an American football offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Eagles with the fourth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Johnson has been selected to multiple Pro Bowls and was a key part of the team's Super Bowl LII victory... read more

Lane Johnson is still one of the best right tackles in the business. Lane is one of the best pass blockers in the league and has been for quite some time now.

He's been the steady, consistent veteran for years now and has always been an elite offensive lineman, playing a key role in both the Eagles' Super Bowl wins. He has 6 Pro Bowls, 2 First Team All-Pros, and 3 Second Team All-Pros. Without Jason Kelce in the lineup anymore, Lane is the clear-cut leader of that offensive line.

His 85.4 overall PFF grade in 2024 ranks 7th in the league at his position. Even in his age 35 season, he's still elite. Lane will undoubtedly be in the Hall of Fame someday.

Jalen Carter

Jalen Carter is already one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL. In his first two seasons combined, he's racked up 75 tackles, 25 quarterback hits, 10.5 sacks, 6 pass deflections, and 4 forced fumbles.

Carter has impressive physicality, including his size and speed, and incredible athleticism. His 74.1 PFF grade in 2024 ranks 22nd in the league for his position. Carter is still young and has so much potential to grow and develop even further.

He was a very disruptive force and even draws double teams, opening up opportunities for the entire defensive line. He's a big reason why they were so dominant in that Super Bowl. They were feasting, forcing Mahomes to scramble for his life all over the field. Carter should be a dominant presence for a decade.

A.J. Brown

AJ Brown is a borderline top 5 wide receiver in the NFL right now. He is the clear focal point of the Eagles' passing attack. His 90.9 overall rating for 2024 was 3rd best for all NFL wide receivers according to PFF.

He led the Eagles in receiving yards and finished 17th in the league with 1,079 yards, and his 7 receiving touchdowns were top 25 most in the league. AJ Brown is as consistent as they come. He's a sure-fire bet to get at least 1,000 yards and he can make explosive plays after the catch too, making him a true dynamic threat.

Brown is also a 3-Time Pro Bowler and 3-Time Second Team All-Pro.

Cooper DeJean

DeJean and Mitchell are pretty interchangeable, honestly. He excels at breaking up passes and has high-level awareness and football IQ. He's very versatile, also contributing on special teams too.

DeJean was a highly touted prospect coming out of Iowa and for very good reason. He finished with an 82.7 overall grade according to PFF, ranking 4th among all cornerbacks in the league.

DeJean and Mitchell in the backfield for the long term will be a deadly combination. The Eagles may have their own no-fly zone with that nasty secondary. They certainly showed up in the big moments when it mattered most.

Quinyon Mitchell

Quinyon Mitchell had an impressive rookie season. He was excellent in coverage and shut down top wide receivers on multiple occasions. He had 12 passes deflected, 46 combined tackles, and 37 solo tackles, and was 2nd in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting en route to the Eagles' Super Bowl win.

His stats are very comparable to Trent McDuffie and Christian Gonzalez. He allowed only 41 receptions and a 54.7% reception rate. There's a lot to like about this guy. He can be a stalwart in the Eagles' secondary for at least the foreseeable future.

If only he got a few interceptions, he'd be right up there with the best corners in the league.

Jordan Mailata

Jordan Mailata has been excellent. PFF named him the best tackle in the league with a 95.8 overall grade in 2024.

Mailata has been impressive considering he really didn't have much, if any, football experience before being drafted by the Eagles. It's a testament to their ability to coach and develop their offensive line. He's dominant in both run and pass blocking and has excellent size, strength, and agility.

It's so awesome seeing a guy like Jordan Mailata continue to improve and contribute to the Eagles' offensive line in a big way, coming from the NFL's international player pathway program.

Zack Baun

Zack Baun really proved his value last season. 2024 was his breakout season for the Eagles. He has great versatility, high football IQ, and excellent coverage skills, especially against running backs and tight ends. He played a key role in the Eagles' Super Bowl victory, keeping Travis Kelce in check.

He was mediocre as a Saint, kind of forgettable. Turns out the Saints' loss was the Eagles' reward to gain. Sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery. Baun finished with 3.5 sacks and 151 combined tackles, 93 solo tackles, 11 TFLs, and 5 quarterback hits, earning him First Team All-Pro honors, a Pro Bowl, and a Super Bowl ring on top of all that.

His improvement in just one season was impressive. His stats in 2024 were so impressive he outperformed his entire Saints tenure.

DeVonta Smith

DeVonta Smith is honestly one of the best WR2s in the NFL. It's hard to stand out with arguably a top 5 wide receiver in AJ Brown on the team, but DeVonta Smith complements him well and has emerged as a respectable, formidable receiver in his own right.

Despite missing a few games this past year, Smith still had 833 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns. He has elite route-running abilities and good hands. He can make big plays when needed and has been a truly reliable receiver and a very valuable asset for the Eagles' offense, adding another layer of depth to their passing attack.
