Best NFL Teams Through Week 8 (2020)

The best overall team is Pittsburgh. Talk about being balanced. The Steelers have the best defense in the NFL and a formidable offense as well. Big Ben is back, and with James Connor, Juju, and Chase Claypool, they have weapons. On top of that, they have a perfect 7-0 record to back them up. This team can compete with anyone in the NFL right now and I'd say they're my Super Bowl pick at this point.

The Chiefs are just as dangerous as they have ever been. Kansas City has by far the best offense in the NFL. You got Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Le'Veon Bell, and more. All of these guys are among the best in the league. Combine that with a sneaky defense and this team will still be a threat to win games and possibly repeat.

Tampa Bay is playing very well at the moment. Tom Brady is somehow playing like he's still in his prime. Gronk is back. You have Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Leonard Fournette, Ronald Jones and... Antonio Brown?! Yeah they're really going all in for a Super Bowl aren't they? They have a formidable defense as well so they can compete with any team. This is a team you don't want to face now.

The Tennessee Titans are so far actually playing really well outside of losing to the Bengals. They have kinda hit a slump, though. Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill are playing very well, and when this team clicks, they are a near unstoppable force. Yet, sometimes they just can't get it together.

Baltimore has been playing pretty decent. Lamar Jackson is just as deadly as ever and the defense is decent as well. They just aren't the team I expected them to be at the beginning of the year. I thought they would be dominating everyone, but so far I'm still not seeing it.

The Bills I'm not so sure about now. They're still a formidable opponent. They lead the division and have lost 2 games to respectable teams, but they let the Jets and Patriots hang around for too long. All of a sudden, it appears there's some flaws in the system. They aren't exactly dominating games they should be winning by at least 17. But somehow they're still winning which is all that matters.

Seattle is slightly better than the Packers. Like Green Bay, they have a pretty sus defense. In other words, it's not great. But they more than manage to make up for it. Russell Wilson is balling out now. When you have DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Chris Carson all doing well, they are a well rounded team. But man do they live close to the edge, as in they cannot close anybody out which could come back to haunt them as we saw against Arizona.

Packers were at one point the team to beat, but they have fallen off tbh. Don't believe me? Look back at the game against Tampa Bay and you will see my point. They have had injuries to Davante Adams and Aaron Jones so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but that still doesn't excuse that awful defense. How do you let Dalvin Cook run all over you guys? You guys are good but there's some major flaws that have been exposed.

If you want to talk about living dangerous, the Saints are the team for you. I don't know what it is, but this team has some sort of luck right now. They cannot close anybody out. They have not won by more than 1 score since week 1... yet they keep winning. Drew Brees is flirting with another passing record, Alvin Kamara is a dominant force, and that defense is scary too. But this team will let anyone into the game. We took them to overtime somehow, so yeah, these guys are definitely beatable.

Cardinals are legit. I was skeptical about them at first, but you look at how they've been playing recently and they're a top 10 team easily. Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, Larry Fitzgerald, Kenyan Drake, and Christian Kirk. All decent weapons. Combined with a sneaky defense and you get a team that's as interesting as advertised, still right in the thick of it all, playing excellent at the moment.
