Top 10 Predictions for the Sunday Games in Week 5 of the 2020 NFL Regular Season
It’s been a minuteI know what you’re thinking doesn’t htoutlaws normally makes these lists? Well yes but like in the NFL when one man is sidelined or on hiatus it’s time for the next man up. So this week I’ll fill in for him so he can enjoy his hiatus.
Meanwhile the NFL season continues on with COVID-19 outbreaks in Tennessee and now New England it appears. Things are getting scary but the shield moves on they always find a way to continue. They will not bend the knee to COVID that easily. Let us proceed
With this Eagles team so banged up, the Steelers should have no trouble containing their in-state neighbors. Their defense is just as solid as I expected, and Philadelphia will drop one here.
I just can't trust the Eagles to pull this one off. 28-17 PIT
The Cardinals have looked out of sync these past few weeks. Perhaps this is where they get back on track. If Kyler Murray is who I think he is, he'll be determined to prove that the past few weeks were a fluke.
What better week to do that than against the woefully awful Jets? This may not even be a game. The Jets have Joe Checkdown Flacco, so expect minimal offensive performance from them.
35-13 ARI
The Texans' season is all but over. Bill O'Brien is gone, but the damage is done. As bad as this team is, Jacksonville is worse.
Deshaun Watson is a winner, and he will fight to give Houston the win. It will probably be a shootout, but in the end, Watson will be the difference over Minshew Mania. 28-24 HOU
Atlanta and Carolina are on opposite trends at the moment. The Falcons can score, but their defense is so bad. They have been torched repeatedly by Russell Wilson, Dak Prescott, Aaron Rodgers, and Nick Foles.
Meanwhile, Carolina is finding their groove. They are finding ways to adapt and win without CMC. Call this an upset if you will, but CAR wins it 30-24.
Cleveland is actually playing good football right now. Stefanski has led the regime to turn the tables. Indy, I don't exactly trust.
I believe this will be a back-and-forth affair, but at the end of the day, it will be the Browns who win it 35-32 because it's 2020 and the Browns are a good football team now.
KC is the defending champions, but they have the tendency to give up big games to opposing running backs. I feel like this will be the case for Josh Jacobs, who hasn't quite been the breakout star we had anticipated.
Despite this, the Chiefs will win the game 38-24.
Washington... I don't know what it is, but they can at least be competitive. The Rams have a well-rounded football team, but Washington may be able to give them a test. They're not good, but they aren't a pushover team either.
Rams win it 30-13
The Cowboys have to be livid after these past few weeks, going 1-3 to this point. Their defense needs a game where they can prove themselves and let out their anger, and NY is the perfect opponent. They have an inconsistent offense at best.
Dallas, I predict, wins it 27-0.
Seattle is on a roll recently, while the Vikings are not so much. Their secondary has taken a hit, and Russell Wilson will cook and torch it. Also, this is prime time, so Kirk Cousins still has a tendency to not show up. Dalvin Cook can't do it all.
Vikings 35-17 SEA
