Top Ten Washington Commanders Players Going Into the 2025 NFL Season

The Top Ten
Jayden Daniels

Jayden Daniels is definitely the face of this NFL team. His magical rookie season earned him ROTY and was a big part of why Washington was so surprisingly good and made that huge run to the NFC Championship.

Throwing 25 TDs and 3,568 yards and also rushing for 891 yards and 6 rushing TDs, he's already a top 10 QB in the league going into his sophomore year, arguably Top 5. He'll only get better from here, and I'm excited to see what he will bring to the table in year 2.

Terry McLaurin

Terry McLaurin continues to be a very productive receiver for Washington, and he'll continue being just that.

As a top 10 receiver in the league, McLaurin ended his 2024 season with 1,096 receiving yards and 13 receiving touchdowns, which was 2nd most in the league. He also did all of that in just 82 receptions. I believe he will have an even better season.

Frankie Luvu

Definitely one of my favorite players on Washington from last season. His energy is great and he is a born leader, always a great guy in the locker room.

Luvu racked up an impressive 8 sacks and 12 TFLs in his first year for Washington. He was always a big impact for Washington's defense. I believe Luvu can still get better.

Laremy Tunsil

Washington traded for Tunsil during the offseason, and I believe he is a great addition to the team. Washington's O-line wasn't too bad last season, but it's always nice adding a solid player to the roster.

Tunsil had always been solid for the Texans every season, always allowing a low pressure rate, so I'm happy with his addition, especially with Cosmi going down with an ACL tear, who will probably miss a portion of the 2025 season.

Mike Sainristil

Mike Sainristil actually had a surprisingly good rookie season. I think he was very underrated.

He was the only real solid corner in a weak CB room. He led all rookies in passes defended with 14 and was overall just a solid corner. I expect him to improve going into his sophomore season.

Bobby Wagner Bobby Joseph Wagner is an American football inside linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League.

Wagner is a veteran in the game, and he has proven he's still got it. In his 13th season, he was still able to make a significant impact on Washington, with 15 stuffs and 10 TFLs.

Even at his old age, he continues performing at a high level.

Marshon Lattimore

I'm kind of mixed on Lattimore's performance. After getting traded to Washington from New Orleans, I feel like he was over-hated because he was dealing with injuries and needed time to learn the playbook.

He had some good moments with Washington, but also some bad moments, and he's sort of a hothead. But he did need time to learn the playbook, so now with a whole offseason to learn the playbook and recover, he should be good to go for the next season and hopefully return to his great form.

Deebo Samuel

Deebo is coming off a down year with San Francisco, and Washington traded for him during the offseason, not really giving much to San Francisco.

Hopefully he can get back to his 2021 form with a fresh start in Washington. I still have faith in Deebo. I still believe he has the skill to be a solid contributor.

Quan Martin

Coming off his sophomore season, Martin was a pretty solid safety for Washington. I think he performed well in his second year.

He's a hard hitter, forcing a good amount of fumbles, and he's a solid contributor for Washington. His pick six against Detroit in the NFC Divisional Round will never be forgotten. He's still young, and I think he'll continue to improve going into his junior year in the league.

Daron Payne

Payne has been disappointing lately, producing only 4 sacks for the second season in a row. Ever since his 11.5-sack season 2 years ago, he hasn't been producing at the same skill level that I hoped he would.

I still think Daron Payne is a good DT, and I'm hoping he can finally wake up with Jonathan Allen gone and lead the D-line. If he continues with his mediocre performances, he might be off Washington's roster before the season ends.
