Top 10 Worst Performers from Week 8 of the NFL 2021 Regular Season

The Top Ten
  1. Calvin Ridley

I get that depression is tough to fight through, but Ridley not suiting up for this game really must have shaken the team, given how horribly they performed against Carolina.

Well, wide receiver is back to being a top priority now, with Calvin Ridley potentially not coming back or the entire second half of the season to worry about. I hate to be the fantasy owners of him right now, big-time disappointed with his results.

  2. Rob Gronkowski

Gronkowski was active, but that didn't last too long, unfortunately. Now he's out again with back spasms.

How much longer until we hear him go out and retire with all the bruising and beatings he has taken from this season alone?

  3. Alim McNeill

The Lions were terrible at trying to stop the run. The worst team to do so.

McNeill seems to be the guy Dan Campbell is highest on, and frankly, I don't know what to see out of him other than just getting beat horribly by Boston Scott and Jordan Howard scoring on the way to the end zone.

  4. Trey Hopkins

I should've seen that one coming, with the Jets having the strength against that awful Bengals offensive line. Hopkins was so terrible. He couldn't handle either Quinnen Williams or Sheldon Rankins, giving up a sack to each.

The pressure got to Burrow constantly, which resulted in the stunner witnessed in Jersey.

  5. Cameron Dantzler

He was the most picked apart in the secondary by Cooper Rush, and the very final drive showed it, with Amari Cooper burning him to the end zone.

You don't miss Patrick Peterson, Viking fans?

  6. Saahdiq Charles

Washington felt the pressure a ton on the right side, where they are at their most vulnerable.

This goes to show when Denver scooped up five sacks, surrendered mainly by the right tackle doing a poor job overall.

  7. A.J. Green

He mainly goes on the list for the very last play made. You're a veteran wide receiver, and you can't turn fast enough to avoid a pick at worst in the end zone?

  8. Trevor Lawrence

Well, it appears that Lawrence reverted back to his old self outside of that good London game showing.

It's been a struggle of a rookie season. Not much was found on the road, getting outmatched by that Seattle defense.

  9. Odell Beckham Jr.

The Steelers' weakness is against the pass, and instead, the Browns decided to trust their strong running game, which cost them the game.

Not saying Odell would have made much of a difference. Don't look now, but suddenly things aren't looking too great in this Cleveland passing game one bit.

  10. Mike Williams

This should have been a huge game for Mike Williams to go off, but instead, he hardly got targeted, and Belichick was able to get into Herbert's head, causing him to make some bad mistakes.

Forgetting that he had a capable No. 2 WR for the duration at home in defeat.
