Top Ten Looney Tunes Characters

The Top Ten
Bugs Bunny Bugs Bunny is an animated cartoon character created by the staff of Leon Schlesinger Productions, which later became Warner Bros. Cartoons. He is one of the most iconic and recognizable cartoon characters, known for his appearances in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series. His signature phrase... read more

Anyone who can calmly stare down the barrel of a rifle pointed straight at him and nonchalantly chomp a carrot while asking, "What's up, Doc?" deserves to be number one.

His humor, his way of talking, and his gags are all brilliant. He is one of the best cartoon characters of all time. He is far better than SpongeBob.

Bugs Bunny is more than just a laid-back rabbit. He has a caring personality, and that's what separates him from everybody else. That's why he should be number 1 and Daffy Duck number 2, because he's egotistical.

Daffy Duck Daffy Duck is an animated cartoon character produced by Warner Bros. Styled as an anthropomorphic black duck, he has appeared in cartoon series such as Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. Daffy is often portrayed as the best friend and occasional rival of Bugs Bunny.

Daffy is better than Bugs for the following reasons:

1. He is funnier than this rabbit. Even when he was in his greedy side instead of his actual daffy personality, he is still funnier than Bugs in every other incarnation.

2. Daffy can do the funny laugh. Woohoohoo! Bugs does not.

3. Daffy is more talented in the cartoons, but his audience is full of cold-hearted dumb-heads who prefer to clap for the less impressive, smug, long-eared jerk.

4. As babies, you cannot help but feel sorry for Daffy due to the favoritism towards Bugs Bunny.

5. Bugs Bunny stole his personality in his early years, and the producers had to make Daffy an ever-losing grouch just to create another enemy for Bugs. Seriously, Chuck? You can do better, but removing Daffy's personality for something that isn't the definition is a big no-no. To make it more despicable, Bugs ditched the stolen personality of Daffy, and Daffy never recovered to his likable, goofy, and crazy self. Bugs Bunny ruined his "life" literally, and Warner Bros are too busy trying to say Bugs is better than Daffy in every other imaginable way. Quite often, Daffy has been given harsh treatment for no reason.

6. Daffy Duck is used more by Warner Bros, even if Bugs is the "star," because apparently, the duck is more alive and has emotions.

I don't 100% detest the wabbit, but I think Warner Bros should make Daffy like he was again: the happy, carefree, but a bit crazy bird. I think they are better as friends rather than being enemies.

Wile E. Coyote Wile E. Coyote is a character from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. He is best known for his persistent but unsuccessful attempts to capture the Road Runner. These attempts often involve elaborate traps and devices that usually backfire on him in humorous ways.

As much as I love the Road Runner, how could I not vote for a Super Genius? Even if his misuse of ACME products is laughable.

Some people just don't know when to quit. Though Wile E. Coyote has yet to catch the Roadrunner, you can't help but admire his determination.

He showed me how to never give up. I've always had faith in him. Someday he will catch that Road Runner!

Sylvester the Cat

Sylvester had the most versatility and was always funny. He also was in three out of five of the Academy Award-winning shorts: Tweetie Pie (1947), Speedy Gonzalez (1955), and Birds Anonymous (1957).

He was in three Academy Award-nominated shorts as well: Life With Feathers (1945), Sandy Claws (1955), and Mouse and Garden (1960). Life With Feathers (1945) was Sylvester's first appearance, and it was nominated. Now, that is talent!

One of the most underrated nowadays. He is as fiercely motivated as Coyote when trying to catch Tweety and has much more personality.

Versatile and incredibly funny, he even got his own screwball role in "Back Alley Uproar," which shows a different side to the usual "loser" cat.

Yosemite Sam Yosemite Sam is an American animated cartoon character from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series produced by Warner Bros. Animation. He is known for his fiery temper and aggressive personality, often portrayed as an adversary of Bugs Bunny. His name references Yosemite National Park and features... read more

Heck yeah! He deserves first place in my opinion. His raging moments are hilarious. Most of the characters from this show are awesome!

This guy should be higher. He is the best try to kill Bugs Bunny guy.

Old-fashioned bad guy... love him.

Elmer Fudd Elmer J. Fudd is a fictional cartoon character and one of the most famous Looney Tunes characters. He is the de facto archenemy of Bugs Bunny. Known for his speech impediment and catchphrase Be vewy vewy quiet, Elmer is typically portrayed as a hapless hunter.

It's hilarious how he hunts Daffy and Bugs. Rabbit season, duck season, boom. It's awesome.

Can you tell me when baseball season starts?

How can you not love him? It's impossible!

Porky Pig Porky Pig is an animated cartoon character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. He is known for his signature stutter and his iconic closing line, Th-th-th-that's all, folks! Porky first appeared in 1935 and became one of the studio's most recognizable characters.

Bugs, Daffy, and Porky. There is no better combination within the Looney Tunes universe. That should definitely be the top three.

Come on, how can he not be in the top 10? For me, he should be only behind Bugs and Daffy.

He's one of the oldest characters, and he's so funny.

Porky Pig should be in third place because he is frustrated with his clumsiness and nobody takes him seriously. Go Team Porky!

Marvin the Martian Marvin the Martian is a character from Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons. He first appeared in the 1948 cartoon Haredevil Hare. Known for his Roman soldier-style helmet and calm demeanor, Marvin often plots to destroy Earth as it obstructs his view of Venus.

He always cracks me up with his famous movements, mannerisms, and one-liners. Plus, you've got to admire his wit and spirit. Isn't it lovely?

I like his appearance. He looks very cute, though he does get a bit angry at times. I love him either way!

Marvin has always made me laugh a lot. I love his design, voice, and humor.

Foghorn Leghorn

When he interrupts himself in the middle of his dialogue to say the exact same thing, it's the best.

He was, I say, he was one of the first cartoon greats to have his feathers taken off due to an explosion. He was X-rated for a cartoon show.

Its Joeysworld

Easily one of the funniest Looney Tunes characters. He cracks me up every single time.

Tweety Tweety is an animated fictional yellow canary in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. The name "Tweety" is a play on words that combines "sweetie" and "tweet," the typical English onomatopoeia for bird sounds. Tweety is often portrayed outwitting his nemesis Sylvester... read more

Tweety Pie is just so cute! Woo! I love Tweety. He is the best. I think that he is great! I love all Looney Tunes. Go Tweety.

Tweety Bird is the cutest thing on Earth. He is a smart bird because he outruns Sylvester. He is the greatest.

The Bob Clampett version of Tweety is funny. Friz Freleng transformed him into an annoyance.

Roadrunner Road Runner is a character from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. Created by Chuck Jones and Michael Maltese, he first appeared in 1949 alongside his rival Wile E. Coyote. Known for his incredible speed and trademark Beep Beep sound, Road Runner consistently outsmarts the Coyote... read more

Beep! Beep! Out of my way! Tricks Wile E. Coyote like Bugs Bunny tricks others. Wile E. Coyote thinks he's so smart. Well, why do you fail all the time trying to eat the Roadrunner?!

My all-time favorite. Loved this bird from the start and will to the end. Would never give him second place to anyone.

Beep! Beep! He's obviously faster than Speedy Gonzalez! He outruns Wile E. Coyote! He is simply just awesome!

Taz the Tasmanian Devil The Tasmanian Devil, commonly referred to as Taz, is an animated cartoon character featured in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes franchise. He is known for his voracious appetite, spinning like a tornado, and making grunting noises. Taz first appeared in 1954 and has remained a popular character in various... read more

With his devilish character, charm, and of course, his devilish look, Taz has been a part of our family for over 27 years. Taz is the man.

He is so adorable, and I love his voice. Taz is definitely a top character. I want to touch his fuzzy fur while watching his episodes.

He is so cute and funny. I just want to hug him every time I see him on TV. Also, I love Sylvester the Cat because he is so cute and lovable.

Speedy Gonzales Speedy Gonzales is an animated cartoon character in the Warner Brothers Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series. He is known as The Fastest Mouse in all Mexico. Speedy wears a sombrero, white outfit, and red kerchief, and he often outsmarts his adversaries with his speed and cleverness.

Even if you don't agree with me, I still think that Speedy Gonzales should be number one. He makes cats make fools of themselves.

One more thing, if you're reading this comment, I just want to say, not many people are checking this place out. I can tell because there's not much voting here, and also because not many people like Looney Tunes nowadays. I still like it a little, that's why I came here.

He's so awesome! He deserves to be in at least the top 5! I love watching Speedy Gonzales on Looney Tunes. He's totally faster than Road Runner! Please everyone, vote for Speedy!

Lola Bunny Lola Bunny is a cartoon character in the Looney Tunes franchise, portrayed as an anthropomorphic female rabbit and the girlfriend of Bugs Bunny. She was introduced as a female merchandising counterpart to Bugs Bunny. Lola first appeared in the 1996 animated sports comedy film Space Jam.

Yeah, she should be in the top five, as long as we're talking about the new ones. Man, Space Jam was a nightmare.

She can occasionally be annoying, but boy is she entertaining and funny!

I have never been so attracted to a fictional animal.

Pepé Le Pew

Love this guy's over-the-top sweet sentiments parodying romantic comedies, and the interactions he has with Penelope are hilarious. I think all the broken French makes it funnier.

He is my number one cartoon character. He needs to be at the top of this list. Who else can talk a woman into liking him than Pepé Le Pew? Pepé Le Pew, who will never take no for an answer.

I love his old cartoons. He is so ridiculously in denial. Plus, I kind of sympathize with his plight of not really getting a girl.

Claude Cat
Pete Puma

The funniest character in the history of Looney Tunes. He was only in two episodes (and the second one isn't all that great), but who can forget him "helping himself" to lumps?

Bugs and Pete, friends forever.

Yep, yep. There's this little rabbit, and I'm gonna eat him all up, EEE!

Gossamer

People always forget about him. He was awesome!

Beaky Buzzard
Penelope Pussycat Penelope Pussycat is an animated cat character featured in the Warner Bros. classic Looney Tunes animated shorts. She is best known as the love interest of Pepe Le Pew in a series of comedic episodes centered around his relentless romantic pursuits. Although usually silent, Penelope's expressive reactions... read more

She was another one of the cute, adorable, underrated characters that deserved a lot more. Even though her character never fully developed, we all loved her trying to avoid Le Pew.

She was just as lustful as Pepe in some episodes.

Mr. Chairman
D. J. Drake
Rocky and Mugsy

Underrated characters. "Waste management."
