The Contenders: Page 5

81 Dead by April

Yes! This band brought Modern Metal to a whole different level. They definitely deserve to be in the top 10.

82 Sabaton Sabaton Sabaton is a power metal band from Falun, Sweden formed in 1999. The band's main lyrical themes are based on war and historical battles.

To the top! Awesome lyrics and music, like I read somewhere "the badass bard telling war stories"

These guys are amazing live. Such awesome energy from the lead singer.

83 Ghost B.C.
84 Wolfmother Wolfmother more.

Not really metal (most of their songs during the 2000's) but still awesome

86th? Well, if people would actually stay on topic, they shouldn't be listed as theyve been around for over 20 years. If people actually knew & cared about METAL, 3/4 of the bands on this list would be omitted. Yes many of them listed have released great albums in the 2000's but I understood this to be bands that actually lauched in 2000-current. But, so is public opinion driven top anything lists!

#89. I just can't. can't comprehend the stupidity of this band not being listed in the top ten. what people step away from the mass produced slipknot and embrace these crazy sweeds who are mind blowing in the studio and mind melting live

86 Skillet Skillet Skillet is an American Christian rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1996 and based in the United States.

They simply just rock! And their lyrics actually tell a story or mean something.

Should seriously be better! they are an amazing band!

Without a doubt one of the best nu metal bands of our time. I'm not a big fan of swan songs but American tragedy and notes from the underground that's nu metal how its meant to be played

Hollywood undead is the best band ever!

Push It

Forty Ways

I Am

People are not going far enough down the list to up vote these obvious top 50's if not higher.

They definitely need to be at least in top 10!
Just listen to their music! They are just badass!

89 Vektor Vektor

They've been around for 7 years and are already one of the best thrash bands ever.

Epic nu metal! Gets you pumped! Original guitarist brought it!

This metal band should be way higher than this

Just amazing

Again, another great band, but its not metal, Jet is pretty much like punk rock or just rebellious rock

99 Blessthefall
100 Overkill Overkill Overkill is an American thrash metal band, formed in 1980 in New Jersey. They have gone through many line-up changes, with singer Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth and bassist D.D.

Best THRASH band in the world. Inoxidable and invincible.
