2000 was probably the weakest year in metal history. Even the best songs and albums in 2000 were among the weakest albums by the respective bands. Fortunately, there were some exceptions that saved the year. The biggest surprise was a side project - Demons and Wizards. God bless Jon Schaffer and Hansi Kürsch.

Best song of their career. It was also the only top 40 hit of their career in USA. Impressive considering its not mellow. All 4 guys show off their skill here. Best band, best record, best song

A great song (and album) by an underground band.

6 The Wicker Man - Iron Maiden

Great latter-day Iron Maiden song.
