Top 10 Best Tim 'Ripper' Owens Vocal Performances

The Top Ten
1 Cathedral Spires - Judas Priest

Tim 'Ripper' Owens isn't Rob Halford but he's a great singer in his own right. Tim voice is more brutal and demonic than Halford's voice.
I prefer this vocal performance over the Grammy nominated Bullet Train but it's a close battle.

2 Bullet Train - Judas Priest

With this song he was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 1999 but lost out to Metallica's "Better than You".

3 Ten Thousand Strong - Iced Earth

He did a very good job on this song, including a great intro scream (13 seconds long) and later a second scream for about 12 secs.
His time in Iced Earth wasn't easy - Iced Earth fans just wanted Matt Barlow back. What can I say? - Matt Barlow is awesome but it doesn't mean Tim 'Ripper' is a bad singer.

4 Be Careful What You Wish For - Yngwie Malmsteen

What's not to like here vocal-wise? Tim's got incredible power, range and vocal technique

5 Wages of Sin - Winter's Bane

A song with remarkable sustain of about 12 secs.

6 Burn In Hell - Judas Priest

This is a live version and as you can hear, not bad at all.

7 Flight of Icarus - Tim 'Ripper' Owens

This is an Iron Maiden cover and I think Tim 'Ripper' Owens did a very good job, including the sustain of 12-13 seconds which is available in the original sang by Bruce Dickinson.

8 Santa Claus Is Back In Town - Tim Ripper Owens, Steve Morse, Vinny Appice, Marco Mendoza, Juan Garcia

One of my favorite metal versions of X-mas songs: his vocals are very interesting here, especially towards the end. This song shows his versatility as a singer.

9 Machine Man - Judas Priest

Probably my favorite song from Demolition (yes, there are songs from this album I like - give them a listen and judge for yourself).

10 Hell Is Home - Judas Priest

This song is awesome and catchy...Tim is ripping everything what his awesome voice

The Contenders
11 High Water Mark - Iced Earth

This song is over 12 minutes long. Even though this isn't the most popular Iced Earth song, his vocal performance is remarkable.

12 Death Dealer - Yngwie Malmsteen

Yngwie Malmsteen composes songs that aren't easy to sing and for that reason all Yngwie singers have been above the average, including Tim.

13 Jugulator - Judas Priest
14 Close to You - Judas Priest

This is a slower and more melodic song that shows his soft side.

15 Metal Messiah - Judas Priest
16 The Clouding - Iced Earth
17 Mr. Crowley - Yngwie Malmsteen
18 Live to Fight - Yngwie Malmsteen
19 Priest of the Unholy - Yngwie Malmsteen
