No matter what the Walt Disney Animation Studios bashers day, The Lion King will always be a powerful, very beautifully animated near-masterpiece with outgoing musical numbers (yet its sequel Simba’s Pride even blew it out of the water despite not being as risky or charming as its predecessor but still a decent watch), hence why it has the genre known as an epic.
Another iconic scene where Rafiki the baboon raises Simba in the air as the other animals cheer on in excitement before bowing before their future king, though in Lion King 1/2 we find out the real reason everyone was bowing after Pumbaa lets out a huge fart that causes all the animals in the back to pass out as the others think that they're bowing and follow suit. - egnomac
