Saddest Anime Movies

A very powerful and moving movie of how people struggled during and post WWII..

It's definitely one of the greatest and most touching love stories ever told. I shed a tear without noticing it.

The first movie to make me cry.

This movie is an absolute masterpiece. And, while I can't judge the opinions for some of the higher up votes because I haven't seen them, I do think this should be higher up. It has such a powerful message and handles themes that most anime don't typically deal with, like bullying and suicide. One thing I love about this movie is the main character. Unlike other movies where they'll focus on the victim of the bullying, this one focuses on the bully, which adds a unique point of view to the film. The visuals and voice acting are all incredible. I would recommend this movie to pretty much anyone. Definitely one of my favorites.

A Silent Voice is criminally underrated, and this is one of those rare movies that bring up deep issues about communication and anxiety that we face in today's society. This movie had bought me into tears for plenty of reasons. Amazing.
