Best Avenged Sevenfold Album Openers
I don't care what people say, I think Avenged Sevenfold is a decent band with some merit both in terms of songwriting and in performance. I find their openers in particular to be great. I don't count intros as opening songs.
An awesome song that I really think should get more praise. The instrumentation and vocals are both on point, and the final 2-3 minutes are amazing.
Objectively excellent song from a pretty enjoyable band.
While a lot of people would have this as number 1, I think that a slightly lower position is deserved. It's a really good song, but compared to the songs I put above this, I find this one to be the weakest. That said, the performance by everyone is to notch here.
The drumming in particular is really good here. It also has either my favorite, or second favorite chorus by these guys.
I love the brutal sound to this song. While it's nowhere near the most intense song I've heard and enjoyed, it's definitely unique sounding to have a song like this past their first 2 albums. I really like it though.
The only issue I have with this song is that it sounds a bit too similar to Enter Sandman for my liking. Other than that, it's still half decent.
I honestly don't like this song as much as most. The opening riff is really good, but I find the bulk of the song to be largely uninteresting, especially when the tempo was reduced.
I personally find this song to be average. Nothing bout it particularly stands out, but nothing is really wrong with it either, it's just average.
Ugh, I really dislike the entirety of STST, the screaming is of poor quality, and the clean vocals are even worse. I don't like anything about this song
