Worst Nick Jr. Shows

The Top Ten
  1. Dora the Explorer

Dora the Explorer (2000-2019) is an American animated preschool educational television series created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh Valdes, and Eric Weiner. The show follows Dora, a young Latina girl, as she embarks on adventures with her monkey friend Boots.... read more

Dora is blind and deaf. When she sees star mountain, she says, "Can anyone tell me where is star mountain? " and she knows it's over there. "It's over there, you mindless dudyhead, " I say. " Where? " she says. "There, you wet dog! " I say. "I might be losing my marbles. Boots, quit this mission, " It's like a ripoff of regular show but with no violence, romance, and hurtful words. What if she goes on a date? Her pants aren't tucked in so, we can see her crack and half of her buttcheeks. "Hey, Dora. You look horrible and tuck in your butt, " I say. She went on a date with Diego and butt kissed Benny and called big red chicken fat. The friends will beat her up and eat her.

  2. Bubble Guppies

Bubble Guppies is an American and Canadian animated television series created for preschoolers. The show premiered in 2011 and was created by Jonny Belt and Robert Scull. Set in an underwater classroom, it uses songs and sketches to teach children about various subjects.... read more

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Bubble Guppies. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Nonny's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterization. His personal philosophy draws heavily from his smartness literature, for instance.

The fans don't understand this stuff. They don't have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny. They say something deep about life. As a consequence, people who dislike Bubble Guppies truly are idiots. Of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Deema's existential catchphrase "Wowzers," which itself is a cryptic reference to something.

  3. Team Umizoomi

Team Umizoomi is an American computer-animated musical children's television series focused on preschool mathematical concepts. These include counting, sequences, shapes, patterns, measurements, and comparisons. The show originally aired on Nickelodeon from January 25, 2010, to April 24, 2015, and follows... read more

I think that this show is stupid as is, but on top of that it promotes sexism and teaches kids how to be gender stereotypical. The BOY can make shapes and build things and do really cool things. But what can the girl do? She can change the pattern on her flowery dress. And flop her pigtails around uselessly. It's ridiculous and sad that you teach kids at a young age how if a male shows any signs of weakness, he's gay ( which, by the way, should NEVER be used as an insult ) or a loser, or wimpy. And also teaches them that girls only like flowers and can do nothing useful besides matching the room with fashion.

This show deserves 3. It is not as bad as dora, but still, "Oh no, I lost my money for my haircut! " Is an emergency? I don't think so. In one episode, this kid wants this bike, and he earns some allowance and then he calls team umizoomi to earn the rest for him.

Also Milly can pull pictures off her dress and fix patterns with the pictures. That just makes kids want to have clothes they can rip pictures of stuff off of. Does Geo have wheels permanately implanted into his feet? In one episode, they have to buy some blueberries and bananas and yogurt. But the baby who will eat this food only likes the yogurt cup with a square or something on it! Psh, I think the word for that is picky.

They are nothing like real children who are in the age range. They have a car and cellphones. Where are their parents. Oh right, they were born on Spore.

Well, in conclusion, once they had to get some book for a kid before the library closed.

    Fools.

  4. Peppa Pig

Peppa Pig is a British preschool animated television series created by Astley Baker Davies in association with Entertainment One. The show originally premiered on May 31, 2004. It went on a hiatus for just over two years and returned with new episodes on February 14, 2015.

Many bad things about this show:

    1. The animation is very messy, and was obviously done on Microsoft Paint.

    2. Peppa's a bossy brat who once blamed her father for leaving the school's teddy bear at the supermarket when it was her responsibility to take care of it.

    3. George is a whiny idiot who is always crying his face off at something dumb. Also, he only says one word at a time, like "Dinosaur", "Why? ", "No! ", etc.

    4. Mrs. Rabbit has every job on the show, can't she let anyone else handle her jobs and businesses?

    5. The narrator from the show talks too much. He also says that everyone loves something, when it's not even true.

    6. The voice acting is awful, and Peppa's voice is so annoying, it's like her voice actress has a sore throat.

    7. The pigs in this show look like willies, they walk in a weird way, everyone has the same face as Peppa, and they are all facing sideways.

This show is horrible. Thank the lord they're not making anymore episodes.

  5. Mike the Knight

Mike the Knight is a Canadian-British animated television series created by Alexander Bar and written by Marc Seal. The show premiered in 2011 and follows the adventures of a young knight-in-training named Mike. It teaches preschoolers lessons about responsibility, courage, and helping others.

I wish the Royal Paladins kill Mike's family and destroy their dumbass village.

    The plans:

King of Knights Alfred: Kill Mike's family.

Blaster Blade: Say his Squad destroy Mike's Dumb Village.

Blaster Blade's squad: Destroy all Mike's village including their lame castle.

Other Royal Paladin members: Kill all the creatures of all Mike's village

After that, Alfred gonna torture Mike's family to death!

This show ripped off The Legend of Zelda, your old time favorite video game and it's a tele version of Link. This shows doesn't make sense because he teaches preschoolers to kill people. That's stupid. The creator of Mike the knight stole the creator of Legend of Zelda. It's a ripoff from hell! This show will be canceled in 2016 and will be off the air forever.

  6. Go, Diego, Go!

Go, Diego, Go! is an American animated educational interactive children's television program that originally aired on the Nickelodeon cable network in the United States. It was produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio and premiered on September 6, 2005. The show is a spin-off of Dora the Explorer and... read more

Shows claim they're educational. And then parents have to spend a long time explaining to their kids and getting them to understand, "No, you can't run around with tigers and befriend bears. No, yo can't touch that dog with rabies because it will try to kill you." And then the kid goes and does it anyway! Thanks Diego!

This show claims to be "educational", but parents could have spent years trying to get the kids to understand that they cannot do things such as going close to animals like hippos, lions, tigers, bears, jaguars, and elephants. And they do it anyway. Way to go Diego. You just became the cause of a kid's death.

  7. Yo Gabba Gabba

Yo Gabba Gabba! is an American children's television series that combines live action and puppetry. The show features five colorful, costumed toy characters who come to life. They are joined by their friend DJ Lance Rock, who guides viewers through music, dance, and educational segments.

Why are you haters always rating shows. The shows are for kids not you. Anyways if you hate the show you don't need to watch it and stop with the hating. Yo Gabba Gabba is awesome and it teaches kids lessons and all the shows do so go find a life rather then sitting here being a bully. At least people try to entertain you guys with shows. Shows are there to entertain not get made fun of. I love the creations. How would you like it if you made a show and it was put on the top of the top 10 worst shows.

This show is just plain boring. All the songs and book stories are insanely stupid. That yellow robot seems bossy and seems to be the oldest of them. Even that theme song is annoying. It is all like, YO GABBA YO Gabba YO GABBA YO, shut up you crappy ugly monsters.

I hate that Brobee guy. He is furry and looks ugly. All of them are just creepy except Foofa. Her voice sounds similar to the lamb from Doc McStuffins. Muno literally has one eye. What kind of creature is he anyway? We all know that Plex is a robot and Toodee is a wolf or dog creature.

And why does Brobee frown and the others not? Muno, Foofa, and Brobee, their species are just unknown and probably creatures that do not exist. They are mythical creatures. Who created this show anyway? It is getting old and needs to be cancelled.

  8. Paw Patrol

PAW Patrol is a Canadian animated television series created by Keith Chapman. It is produced by Spin Master Entertainment, with animation provided by Guru Studio. In Canada, the show is primarily broadcast on TVOKids, which aired preview episodes in August 2013 before its official launch.... read more

I like this show! My little sister watches this and I love to see the puppies solve real emergencies, but I have one complaint. Why does a ten year old kid surround himself with a bunch of talking dogs, and Chase is always used, while Zuma only has three lines per episodes, all howling, barking, and laughing. But this show is good in writing (most of the time) and it has good morals and great examples of helping and/or saving the day. It has decent animation and is a good show for preschoolers. Sometimes I laugh at some decent jokes, like one time Rubble said, "Last night, I had a dream that cats could talk," and Skye replied, "Weird."

    Thumbs up, Nick Jr.

  9. Dora & Friends: Into the City

Dora and friends is basically like dora the explorer. Brand new, but stupid. I can't believe dora is going to be OLDER than me!? She's going to be 10 in that show and I'm only 9. If I were a ninja, I would chop her head of with a knife. She is going to weigh less than she was in dora the explorer! I have not seen any of the episodes and I don't EVER want to. if I were a werewolf, I would bite all her body parts of. I have a feeling this show is going to be stupider than dora the explorer. And if I brought a cage of chickens, I would let them lose and make them cover her with feathers.

This isn't the worst show on Nick Jr, but it sure is the most disappointing. I thought that maybe because Dora is older, maybe she'd become less stupid. MAYBE she'd actually ask some questions that might stump kids a little. MAYBE she would ask kids math problems instead of asking where her friend who is right behind her is. So I was actually a little excited for this show, maybe it would be actually watchable.

    And was I right?

    Lol n0pe

"Dora and Friends: Into the City" was just as stupid as the original, if not stupider. Actually, this show is EVEN STUPIDER, because at least Dora was only a little kid in the original. In Dora and Friends, Dora is in at least FIFTH GRADE. I mean, she's not talking to squirrels and crap anymore, but she still needs help finding the mountain (which is right behind her). I mean, come on! The only kids her age that act like that irl have mental disabilities. And Map App, seriously? I don't think Dora has enough Brain Cells to use a phone, never mind even know what an app is.

Even though it's not nearly as bad as some of the other trash Nick Jr. throws at us, it was in one word a disappointment. It had so much potential to be a decent show, yet Nick Jr. finds away to screw it up.

  10. Ni Hao, Kai-Lan

I do not even like this show at all! It's a ripoff of Dora, except it's in Chinese. Even though I am Half-Japanese, I do NOT need this disgrace of a show

The name also copied-off Hello Kitty which is far much worse about this abomination

Kai-Lan is really annoying and thinks she is better than everyone else when she really is not

Rintoo is a jerk, he doesn't care about anyone, but himself

Tolee is also a jerk. He refuses to share his stuffed-animal toy, Pandy. He only cares about that toy and himself

Hoho is the MOST annoying character in this show. He throws tantrums whenever things do not go his way

    (Just like Caillou)

This stupid show is a rippoff of Dora, only Kai-Lan is Chinese. And the name is a ripoff of Hello Kitty. Who the hell cares that "Ni Hao" Means hello in chinese? Kids don't need to learn Chinese! In these times, kids should be learning Spanish, more people, (At least where I come from, ) are Mexican that chinese! In my lifetime I have personally known 2 chinese people. 2! Thank god this show was cancelled. At least, I think it was.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Ryan's Mystery Playdate

Why wasn't this on the list yet? It is completely uneducational (at least Dora and Go Diego Go tried to teach something to kids), all that Ryan's Mystery Playdate showed us is bad acting and Ryan himself playing with toys. This show exploits children like Ryan too. The animations and special effects are all lazy and terrible. The cartoon characters of the show like Combo Panda (whose name may be a ripoff of Kung Fu Panda based on how similar they both sound) is the most annoying and aggravating character of the show, along with Ryan's mom. This show needs to be permanently cancelled.

This show deserves to be in the top 3 because of how annoying Ryan is.

  13. ?

    Baby Shark's Big Show!

To be fair, at least Dora tries to be educational, Bubble Guppies, and Team Umizoomi try to be education. This barely teaches social skills (which are the bare minimal when it comes to educational content). Also, Cardi B's in it.

  14. The Contenders
  15. teletubbies

Teletubbies is a British preschool children's television series created by Anne Wood CBE and Andrew Davenport of Ragdoll Productions. Davenport wrote all 365 episodes of the original series, which first aired in 1997.

A mini episode called "Teletubbies are back from the dead"

    T.V.: Breaking News!

    Squidward: Huh?

T.V.: Teletubbies are back from the dead and are back on nick jr.

Squidward: Quick! SpongeBob, call the navy!

SpongeBob: (dials the operator) Operator, give me the navy.

Phone: (British accent) You have reached the navy's automated hotline service.

SpongeBob: Squidward! Teletubbies are controlling the navy!

Squidward: Not the navy! Attention, Teletubies are back from the dead and are taking over the world! (moment of silence) Our world!

    (everyone freaks out)

Squidward to SpongeBob: What do we do? (Teletubbies come through the door)

SpongeBob: I have an idea. (gets a machine gun)

    (SpongeBob fires gun at teletubbies)

    (everyone celebrates)

  16. Blaze and the Monster Machines

Blaze and the Monster Machines is a CGI interactive educational animated television series that focuses on teaching concepts from science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The show follows Blaze, a red monster truck, and his driver AJ as they solve problems using STEM principles. It premiered... read more

I thought it was rip-off of Cars at first but, what I hate about this show is the main character Blaze:

I think he/it whatever, I think Blaze is a Mary Sue because, Blaze always wins even if the race is hard to win.. Blaze wins somehow! ALWAYS! He absolutely never loses! Yeah, I understand "good always win" but, that doesn't mean that good REALLY does ALWAYS WIN! Some heroes do lose so, it's okay to lose because no one is perfect, expect this Mary Sue called Blaze and other Mary Sues! I mean, sometimes when good loses, there are other good people stronger than a good person who lost so, they can win too but, Blaze is PERFECT for a Mary Sue!

I swear to Jesus lord this show is just so annoying, every time my little brother here's the truck say "let's blaze" he's gonna repeat it, also this show teaches nothing. The only time I heard it actually teach something useful if your planning on driving is that if your car is at a bend like angle it will drive faster. And the character crusher is so unlucky to the point people just feel bad for the guy, blaze really needs to be better to crusher, because crusher just wants to win, but instead blaze is there to ruin it all, it is just unfair. this show has literally not meant to be for children. The only type of children that should watch it should probably be 5 - 7 because I don't understand why an 8 year old would like such a juvenile boring overrated opinion type of show in the first place, the kid who drives blaze really needs to know that crusher has feelings and that he should really let him win something for once. Also I'm actually glad crusher has that pickle friend because he always sticks up for everyone and mostly crusher, he's like those kids that just don't care what's going on and likes to try new things, honestly the pickle monster truck character is the best character in the entire show, I'm positively sure a lot of people think the same...

  17. The Backyardigans

The Backyardigans is a Canadian - American CGI-animated musical TV series created by Janice Burgess. It is a co-production of animation studio Nelvana and Nickelodeon Animation Studios. The show aired from 2004 to 2013 and is known for its use of original music spanning multiple genres in each episode... read more

I was looking at some of your comments, and I was thinking about your nostalgia. Yeah, this is a good show...If you're five. It's not meant for an age group higher than that. You may be a little older, which is absolutely fine, but it's not typical for an adult to walk around yelling, "I love Backyardigans! " I have no problem with you liking the show, but are you sure that you still like it, even when your older? Don't you think it may be time to mature a bit?

Just...watch something more sophisticated and see if you still like Backyardigans after it.

I love this show so much but everyone says it is for babies!

Untrue! Babies are only infant-2 year old! If a baby watches this show at least a nine month old it is not going to understand what are the characters doing or saying! People who say it sucks this show is my favorite show in the whole wide world. Haters of backyardigans die now!

  18. Shimmer and Shine

Shimmer and Shine is an American-Canadian animated children's television series created by Farnaz Esnaashari-Charmatz. It premiered on August 24, 2015, and is broadcast on Nickelodeon in the United States and on Treehouse in Canada.... read more

Whoever put this here is probably a moron who uses the ripoff excuse for hating this show over nothing. I know Aladdin and Shimmer and Shine are genie-themed, but they have completely different plots.

The show got less formulaic and gained brand new animation and episode formula during Season 2. And I like pre-school shows like that. Besides, there is an episode where no wish formula was used. I personally like the idea of how Season 2 was simulated, because while teaching kids more valuable lessons, they also tend to laugh at the piece of humor and enjoy the action as they're learning.

Nope, I was wrong. Zeta is the best character in the show for lots of reasons. She is nowhere near as annoying genies. Her pet dragon Nasboo just wants to be fed; he's not that loyal to her. Riding flying motorcycles is just more awesome than stupid carpets? Finally, she treats Nasboo well, and doesn't boss him around. I bet Zeta was just pissed off that S&S were getting all the genie gems. I thought she was the villain that S&S were trying to stop from taking over the world, but there is no plot, so it is hard to tell which events come first. I wish, I mean season 2 should have been as good as 1.

  19. Olivia

While it is better than Peppa Pig, this show still has problems. Picture Peppa but older, has 2 brothers, is an ass to her brother and others, and is so spoiled (Even more than Francine the rich kid). Olivia is a terrible role model due to that she treats others like garbage. The animation looks sloppy and looks like someone tried to make 3D objects on an IPad drawing app. As for the plots, they're dumb and predictable.

Children copy what they see and not what they are told. It is called modelling. Demonstrate positive behavior and children will copy it. If you demonstrate negative kids will copy. Demonstrating characters act negatively with out negative consequences you are promoting negative behavior.

  20. Tickety Toc

The plot is really stupid. I don't think one clock two little kids and a dog train are worth the existence of a whole town! Tommy and tolola or whatever are two stupid orphans who have to ride a train to a clock ever since hour they live! Do they even sleep at night?! It's so annoying that once they're two minutes in they say it's almost chime time when is probably only been 15 min in their world! This show is just plain stupid!

Tickety tock. Where's the worst place to be? Tickety Tock! No things to do lame pets to see. Ain't watching the clock. Only that fat cow does care. Tickety tock

The. Worst. Show. Ever. I spy with my little eyes something that shouldn't exist. It's lame and stupid and just. TICKS. ME OFF.

  21. Blue's Room

Blue's Room sucks because of how boring it is and also because of this one annoying girl who says it's her birthday every single day.

I thought it was good. Helped Blue's Clues last one more year.

I mean this is okay but just a little spin off of Blues Clues. Just saying

  22. Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends

Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends, sometimes shortened to Sunny Patch, is a CGI-animated children's television series. It was produced by Nelvana and based on the Miss Spider book series by David Kirk. The show originally aired on Treehouse TV in Canada and Nick Jr. in the United States from 2004 to... read more

You guys can hate me all you want but, wh n I was little, loved this show as a kindergartner. I agree the animation is not good and the plots are OKAY, but believe or not, this show brought me closer to my mom and dad and my brothers. At first, you guys will be like "That's crazy talk, this show just taught me how to blah blah blah" but NO. This show taught me how to be responsible and to love my family. And you might think this, but this show ISN'T SAPPY. The characters aren't SUPER SICKLY SWEET and believe or not AGAIN, some of them are pretty relatable. So go ahead and HATE ME AND THEOW ME IN FIRE! No one can change my opinion.

I watched a promo of this on YouTube, and it kinda creeped me out.

And I could've sworn I heard Marucho talking in there.

  23. Wallykazam!

Wallykazam! is an American interactive children's animated television series created by Adam Peltzman. The series premiered on February 3, 2014, on Nickelodeon. In Canada, it airs on Treehouse TV.

The show is set in a colorful, fairy tale-like world where the characters reside. It follows a young... read more

This show is so awful, here are the top 5 reasons this show is bad.

    1. This show is boring even for two year olds

    2. This show is home to one of the very few dragon characters I despise, norvile I'm not going to bother capitalizing his name he does not deserve it.

    3. This show has no likable characters and is an insult to every person who try's to make learning fun.

    4. Again about norvile, I hate that I know the names, that stupid dragon (I love most dragons I just hate this one so much) he sounds like a heavily drunk man doing a chihuahua impersonation.

And number five the main character I will just call him the blue troll is so stupid he needs a stick and a bunch of three year olds to help him spell simple words.

  24. Oswald

Oswald is a safety-conscious but fun-loving octopus who lives in an apartment complex in Big City with his dog, Weenie. His neighborhood includes colorful characters like his friend Henry the Penguin, Madame Butterfly who runs the Big Diner, and her daughter Catrina Caterpillar.... read more

What! Oswald shouldn't be on here because he teaches you to always look both ways before crossing the street.

Oswald is a good show! It teaches you things! *REAL LIFE STUFF* like crossing the street, must shows that use animals are stupid, but NOT this one

Why the hell is this show on here? This show was my childhood and I still kinda like it. Its way better than the crappy shows they air nowadays

  25. Franklin

Franklin! A good children's book turned into an amazing T.V. show! The animation and everything you see is hand drawn, the music is country inspired garage style, the plots and morals they teach are amazing, the voice acting is good, and it matches the characters well.

    10/10

Perfect show that gets everything on the nose and has lots of educational value!

I used to like Franklin but now they have made it into a CG Show and it is horrible. I hated the Tobias Turtle show where they said he got killed by a clock. It was Inappropriate for people to be watching. They made Mr. Groundhog into a Complete Jerk. It's just Horrible.

  26. Little Charmers

Little Charmers is a Canadian CGI interactive children's television series produced by Nelvana Enterprises and Spin Master Entertainment for Treehouse TV. The series premiered on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. in the United States on January 12. Treehouse TV announced that it was scheduled to premiere in Canada... read more

This show is a ripoff of Sailor Moon. Alexa's old time favorite show. And it's a tele version of sailor moon. Plus the theme song sucks. Nick jr what were you thinking!? Were you trying to ripoff sailor moon? Nick jr you should be ashamed of your self making this piece of crap.

I hate this annoying and too girly show. I can just imagine all of the really religious Christian and Muslim parents prohibiting their kids from watching sorcery and for once I agree with them.

This show is just too much problems. The reason why I say that because that girl Hazel doesn't listen to her parents at all.

  27. The Fresh Beat Band

The Fresh Beat Band (formerly The JumpArounds) is an American live-action musical preschool television series. It was created by Scott Kraft and Nadine van der Velde for Nickelodeon. The show focuses on four best friends who form a band and solve problems through music and teamwork.

I think this is a OK show. But that new girl on there is a goofball and Harper the Pizza Man is strange. And in that one movie where that Greedy Businessman trys to take away Twist and make him a dinosaur is really strange. And also in that movie he got mad when twist betrayed him and he locked them in a room and prevented them from seeing Ne-Yo. And Musical Melody is a singing nerd. The Jr. Beats are idiots. I don't understand it.

Good show. It teaches morals while incorporating music, and freestyle dancing. (A weird combo, that surprisingly works) The cast is okay, but a litte crazy and hyperactive. Does have educational value, which is good.

8/10. Cool show, but it is a little too shove-ish, and in your face.

  28. Peter Rabbit

It is true. Peter and his friends do lie, steal and trespass. It teaches kids to do all this crap. What kind of kid would steal and trespass along with his friends and then lie so they won't get in trouble. The creators were drunk when they made this. Obviously this replaced franklin. Why would this be on T.V. , it teaches kids to steal, trespass. And to lie and lie horribly. Don't let your daughter or son watch this wad of crap. Cause they will have the same attitude as this group. I'm just saying.

I don't understand this show at all. It's about a rabbit that is always running from a fox with a british voice. And that goofy acorn guy named Acern is really scary and strange. I saw the Christmas episode and it was just awful. In one episode they made it look like that Fox was going to eat a duck but saved it. They shoulden't have replaced Max and Ruby with this awful show.

  29. Mia and Me

Has/had no business being on Nick JUNIOR. Maybe regular Nick...

A boy with a crush on her? Girls being bullies to each other? The villains in the animated world are too scary for this age level. And don't EVEN get me started on her non-existent skirt in the animation!

My daughter loves this show.. It's exactly how I found this site.. She wants to know why it hasn't recorded anymore. I was checking to see if it was cancelled.. Was it?.. If not when does this come back?.. I read on another site it might have been sold to another channel?
