Went a bit hair metal for awhile - points off for that

63 Alkaline Trio Alkaline Trio Alkaline Trio is an American punk rock band from McHenry, Illinois. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Matt Skiba, bassist and vocalist Dan Andriano, and drummer Derek Grant.

The lesser known but better Blink 182. Trust me I know and my name is based off a Blink song! Their writing is better, the vocals (especially on later tracks are superb) and the mixture of dark comedy and satire with serious songs is perfect. - DysenteryGary

What the hell are Trio doing all the way down here. I do not understand how half these bands have ended up above these guys, Truly wrong! Top 5 for sure, If you haven't already, Listen to them!

How can they not even be on the list? All time low, simple plan? They shouldn't be on the top list of anything. but alkaline trio? What's the world coming to...

Waay better than their ranking

64 The Dead Boys

True sign if greatness, can listen to them over and over and it never gets tired

Dead boys were the greatest punk band of all time. Can listen to Yoing Loud and Snotty over and over again and it is as great today as it was in 1978

The dead boys at 96? Stiv was number 1! 1

65 Refused

The fact that The "Refused" aren't even on this list means that none of you know what punk even is. Half these bands arent even close to punk music. Some of its emo...

The refused are a hardcore punk band which is really what a lot of the best punk bands are. Even hardcore today isn't punk anymore, its become metalcore.

The shape of punk to come! Way ahead of it's time!

They changed Punk forever!

66 The Casualties

Oh my god! On this list, there are such bands are not punk, just stupid pop! The Casualties create a real punk of what he is, or rather should be. The best hardcore punk band!

The best hardcore band in the whole damn world. Oi Oi Oi!!

I thought this list was for the best Punk Bands, am I wrong?

True punk! These guy should be well into the top 10!

Great band with great people. Even though they don't really consider themselves punk.

More pop punk than punk rock

Somebody said Sum 41 were Pop, but they obviously Skate Punk (and a great one at that). Other than that guy, everyone knows this.

Should be in the top 5

San Fran originals - toured for years - should be top 50

70 Strung Out

I can only say I love this band, they are great, none of their songs say the truth about modern life, how our own society is starting to make us worst persons, everyone should listen to them, their songs are always the best way to begin the day for me :3

Just saw Strung Out live at my local pub 2 months ago. They always amaze me. Every guy in the band is awesome at playing their instrument. I am a drummer I have been playing since I was 5 I am now 43. I played drums in two of Melbourne Australia's best punk bands and was endorsed by SONOR Drums. But Jordan is and always be my drumming hero. Although I was a little disappointed after talking with him to find out he uses a double kick pedal. But to me he is still the King! - Parklink

Really? This band is more talented then all the other bands put together. Been listening to them for about fifteen years and still not even one mediocre song!

73 The Velvet Underground The Velvet Underground The Velvet Underground was an American rock band, active between 1964 and 1973, formed in New York City.
74 Millencolin

Just tell me why the heck Millencolin is at 89 place!? It created punk music and skate culture! This band should be at least in to 10! Guys come on!

No way they deserve to be here when Blink 182 is second. No way at all!

The first punk band I ever got into and they're still my favorite

They remind me of snow boarding for some reason. - Parklink

75 Amber Pacific

Yea this band should be in the top 20... What laugh out loud

76 The Cramps

Their is only one "true" "punk" band and they are know as "tHe CrAmPs"! They will forever be the beginning and the end for the genre. Depending upon your perspective, the punk movement represented everything The Cramps played.

Not so much punk as they are old school Rockabilly

80 Sham 69

Like Angelic Upstarts, UK Subs, The Adverts, 999, etc., all those '76/'77 British Punk Bands deserve to be in the Top 30 (at least! ); never mind all the Pseudo-Punk-Rubbish ala Blink 182, Sum 41 or even Green Day (still the best out of the lot), etc.. Once their songs have proved themselves for 40 years, they have no rightful place in these lists. 'Borstal Breakout', 'If the kids are united', 'Hersham Boys', 'Hurry up Harry' and 'Angels with dirty faces' have earned their rightful place, but are all too far down. SHAME 2015!
