Top Ten Most Boring Sports

The Top Ten
1 Golf Golf is a club and ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes from a range of 80 to 600 yards on a course in as few strokes as possible.

Golf is joke, it should not be consider a sport but a game. Your opponents do not prevent you for achieving a goal. It's your ability and only your ability and the winner is the person who has the best score. Don't get me wrong I golf on the weekends and I love it because of the concentration aspect of the game but there is nothing physical about it. My passion is boxing which was deemed the most difficult sport by ESPN. This is sport, it takes guts to do, many years to perfect and only a few make it. Many boxers start learning the sport at an early age of 6 or younger and even with all those dedications and years of practicing only a few can make it in the pro.

Golf... Where do I begin

It's the weekend! I truly don't know what to do, so I will just spend my time on a giant golf course searching the ENTIRE DAY for a little ball! I mean, it's so exciting when I FINALLY get the ball in the hole! It might take an hour but who cares! It's the most pointless, stupid sport ever, but it's so fun playing it! Oh, and watching it! Oh the joy! As if it wasn't enough fun PLAYING it, now let me WATCH other people chase some little golf balls everywhere! Excitement plus!

The only thing I DO like about golf is golf CARTS. Now THOSE are awesome.

I LOVE sports. There are only a few sports that I don't like to watch, and golf is one of them. Playing it is great fun but watching it is like watching paint dry. Now, let's review other sports on this list:
Baseball: agreed. Very boring to watch. I tried several times, but I just HAD to change the channel every time.
Football (not soccer, football): One of the best sports to watch of all! Why is it on here?
Nascar - I never had a chance to watch it but after seeing highlights on Youtube I realized how boring it is to watch
Cricket - similar to baseball, very boring to watch just like baseball, the only difference between those two sports is that cricket lasts longer, making it worse than baseball.
Gardening - it's not a sport, who put it on here?
American football - too many commercials, boring to watch, it's better to watch rugby
Curling - a VERY overhated sport. It is not slow, not boring to watch, screaming is a little bit annoying but there's always an ...more

How unknowledgeable you people are of the game!

A few years back, a player was in the rough on the 72nd hole at Doral. Lake all the way on the left. Need to get home from 150 metres in 3 to win $1.1 million.
The gallery was huge, all silent.
The camera focussed on the player's ball nestled down in the rough.
Johnny Miller whispered to all we viewers "don't you just love this stuff".
Yes John, we do.
We love to see people beat their own limits and achieve. Golf is truly rated number 1, as the greatest sport.

2 Auto Racing

NASCAR is divided up into different series. You have the

- The 3 main series, Cup, Xfinity, and Trucks
- Late Models
- Whelen Modified Tour
- Etc.

They all run at different types of tracks: dirt, oval, road courses. Some are wide, others are narrow. Short tracks, super-speedways, 1.5 mi ovals, road courses. For example short tracks promote slower speeds and bunch cars closer together while longer tracks do often create tight racing, but also can also more leeway between cars when an incident occurs. If you like adrenaline, risk, and uncertainty, you'll certainly like stock car racing.

Also to those who say NASCAR/stock car racing isn't a sport, it is. Here's why:

Drivers need:
- God-like reflexes
- Split second reactions
- Knowledge of your car's condition on the track
- Able to withstand 2g+
- To be physically fit
- Endurance as races can last from 20 mins for short track events to 3+ hours for Cup events

Without them, these races will get as processional as the Schumacher era was, when races were fixed to favour him and his team because they are connected to an expensive road car brand with lots of badge pedigree. This is why they need KERS and DRS to WWEify the races. If I want to watch fixed sport, I would watch wrestling, not motorsport.

Plus the driver's wimp attitude gets me, like Michael Schumacher saying Le Mans is too dangerous for him and Lewis Hamilton whine about blowouts even at 100mph.

I'd rather watch cars go by my house instead of this dribble. At least it would mix things up a bit. This sport is so boring that it is a miricle that every doesn't get alcohol poisoning after watching this slop from trying to make it interesting by drinking. No amount of beer will make this fun unless you pass out and dream that your only watching this crud from home. So you can at least tune into something else at least.

The lamest sport ever. Nobody watches it and it's a huge waste of gas, which causes more drilling for oil, which asks for more money, which raises taxes. I bet people don't even care about the drivers, you just see which cars have your favorite color or brand and you root for that one. For example: Blue car my favorite color oh wait, I hate Target, gotta find another one. I'm not usally sarcastic but I just hate NASCAR.

3 Baseball Baseball is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of nine players each who take turns batting and fielding.

Most boring sport to play. Waiting in line to hit the ball that's so hard to hit. Waiting for the ball to come to you that I can never catch, because I'm not sure if I can catch such a very fast small ball, plus I'm not sure if the ball is going to hurt me it might hit me in the head leaving me wounded. Oh I missed the ball! I get screamed at by my fellow players. That's what I went through when I was a kid playing with spoiled brat boys that don't know the meaning of losing the game, since their dad's teach them to always win and never to lose. Unfortunately one of the 2 team's is going to lose is what the dad should teach their little boys when growing up and not to whine, cry and bully anyone if they lose. That's what I had to put up with in PE when I was a kid and I was bullied by them too. Yet I never saw any of the girls crying and whining, but they did get mad and stuck up for the bully boys. To this day I hate baseball.

Lot of dumb ignorant people here. Splitfinger fastballs, curveballs, changeups, sliders for example are NOT random pitches. Don't speak about something your tiny brain can't comprehend. Baseball is the ultimate mental game which tests your speed (I.e. fielding to run after the ball and running the bases), throwing, fielding, hitting for average (hits) and hitting for power (home runs). Hitting, pitching, fielding, running the bases, there are lots of things happening during a baseball game. Baseball tests hand-eye-coordination. Big one there too. Yea it's a slower paced game but so what? Do y'all have Attention Deficit Disorder? Or are y'all just mentally disable to understand anything that isn't very simple?

Like cricket brought T20 with new rules to make the game interesting, I feel that baseball too should develop a modern version of the game, to make it less tedious.
Here are some suggestions: Giving 1 point for each successful run to another base, 2 points for running two bases, 6 points for a home run, allowing two "balls" before the batter gets to walk, making the foul lines wider, and finally, not making running mandatory after hitting the ball; the batter can choose to stay if he doesn't think he can make it.

I'm convinced that baseball is COMPLETELY RANDOM. It's sold to us as if pitchers have all this control and all these different pitches and that batters can decide whether to foul one off to get to another pitch. But, what's really hapenning is one guy throws the ball as hard as he can to a target and the other guy swings the bat as hard as HE can to hit the ball. Everything else is just a random number generator - the trajectory of the ball, where it crosses the strike zone, where it hits the bat and consequently where the ball goes if it makes contact - it's all just random. So, what's the point of that?

4 Soccer Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a sport played between two teams of eleven players each. It is played with a spherical ball. The objective is to score the ball in the other teams goal.

Soccer may be fun to play, but it is boring to watch. Went to a big friendly match at Giants Stadium (I know it's not called that any more, but I refuse to give in) and noticed most of the "fans" were looking at their phones or each other rather than the field until the ball got near a goal. It was a high-scoring game, for soccer, but still managed to be utterly boring when no one was kicking at a goal. The enormous field and lack of structure makes much of the passing game pointless with constant turnovers that just lead to more turnovers. And one official for the whole field? How the heck is that supposed to work? Every game has at least one horrifically blown call because there was no one there but the cameraman to see it, and obviously, that makes it much easier to throw a game as an official. Why does anyone watch this, let alone care so deeply about it that they are incensed to form murderous mobs over it? Beats me.

The most boring sport of all time. Two teams running back and forth trying to kick a ball into a goal. Takes hours for someone to score. Come on if you want a man's sport play American football. Getting that big hit on the other team, breaking tackles, violent intense plays, 200 pound men hurdling their bodies to make a tackle, catch a ball and get that touchdown with either millions of fans watching or your friends cheering you on on an exciting Friday night at your high school. Gets the adrenaline pumping every time. Any other sport other sport that's not football is boring. Just proved all the ignorant British people that their soccer isn't so great and America is were the real athletes are at. Sorry but it's true.

Anybody that skill and endurance means boring its because you been drinking the American propaganda and koolaid. The comments about this sport is driven by the American media because they don't want this sport to overtake the American sports, its all about money. Look the facts baseball, American football, basketball etc they all have one thing in common breaks for commercials. Soccer is continues action for 45 minutes and continues the next 45. As far as athletic ability no comparison the other so called players spend more time on the bench than playing, look at baseball aside from spitting and scratching themself what do they do. I grew up with American sports and never liked soccer until I was stationed in Germany and followed byer munich and let me say edge of seat playing.

I think low scoring sports in general are boring. Rule changes need to happen in sports to make them more enjoyable for the fans. US Football and basketball make rule changes to do just that. You have to be willing to sacrifice the "historical stats" to do this. The best thing they could do is "Get rid of the Goalie". This goes for Hockey and Soccer. In soccer, you could shorten the field to make the sport fit in more stadiums and bring the fans closer to the action.

5 Cricket Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a cricket field, at the centre of which is a rectangular 22-yard-long pitch with a wicket, a set of three wooden stumps sited at each end.

Cricket is definitely the most boring sport. All that's worth watching is the last innings. There's zero back and forth scores in this game and what sport do you need to have a "run calculator" to determine how well you're doing? Ridiculous. Definitely the most boring sport in the world. Baseball has back and forth and values defense as well as offense. Cricket only values offense, it's like batting practice. Extremely inferior sport to baseball.

It's ovbvious reading comments that so many people have no clue what a sport is or they've never played one. Things like the footballs of the world are exciting and entertaining to watch (maybe not soccer cause who scores once in 90 minutes really? ) but crickets just dull. It's slow and boring and appeals to nobody, it's a waste of time. Who stands there for 3 days going I'll throw the ball you whack it and Kevin will throw it back then we'll do it again tomorrow. It's honestly as bad as golf.

Mmost of the time there are more people on pitch that watching. Four days to complete a game and the result can be known two days before the end.
The same two teams playing each other numerous times to win a trophy that resembles and egg cup. Rules and terminology that is more complicated than the offside rule in football. Finally a formula (Duckworth Lewis) to decide the winner when the game is shortened due to bad weather.

All British versions of American sports are terrible. Cricket is worse than baseball, Rugby is worse than American football and Field hockey is worse than Ice Hockey. That's why baseball makes more money than cricket, that's why American football makes more money than rugby and that's why ice hockey makes more money than field hockey.

6 American Football

Also known as like everyone in the US. Well, not EVERYONE. I'm not a sports fan, and I can tell that this is the most boring. Just watching people throw a ball, run back and forth, and while this is "technically" a four hour game, about 80% of it is reserved for commercials. My parents love football, and when I hear my dad yelling in cheers about a caught football, I know he's watching it. At school, all I hear is just sports in general. And this is about like 90% of my class. I feel like the only one who's really into Nintendo, Sailor Moon, South Park, and Frozen. It's really boring not having anyone else to talk to who shares my interests.

There are few sadder sights in England than an Englishman, usually in early middle age, holding forth at the bar about American Football. Here are the three things you can take for granted:
I) He knows nothing about it ii) He doesn't really like sport at all and iii) He has Top Gear on series link. Essentially, the Americans have taken rugby, given the players helmets and introduced committee meetings during play. The reason that the most expensive advertising slot in the world is at half-time during the Super Bowl is because after watching almost two hours of this turgid garbage people are prepared to pay attention to almost anything else.

The fans ruin the game. Going insane over a play or some bad call is ridiculous. What did you expect, one of the two teams are always going to win. Why is anyone so surprised when a team of 11 guys beats another team of 11 guys.

Every game is random, yet people are determined to be flabbergasted when their team loses. They put too much faith in their teams and individual players/coaches. The entire culture is annoying.

This is against most sports in general, however, football lasts several hours and is the premier boring sport.

NO I love American Football! There was once a game in 1992 (a playoff game Bills vs Oilers which are now the Titans my brother's team) where the Oilers lead halftime 3? -3 and the game ended with the Bills scoring 41-38. That is crazy. And the most recent super bowl I was for the Falcons but still the Patriots come back was crazy. Sometimes it gets boring like the time the Steelers won against the dolphins (was for the Steelers) with a score of 3-0 by a game winning field goal but still.

7 Curling

I was watching this on T.V. at the Winter Olympics 2014. 'Oh my god not this stupid curling again. Actually show us a sport! ' We're the exact words my brother said. What is the point of this stupid game? It's so slow and boring and they have to do it 10 times! Basically, all you do is push a big rock as slow as you can and scream at your team for not brushing the ice hard enough try and get it in the middle. Who would watch this?

It's probably one of the few things I could learn to do, now at age 60! Honestly, in some strange way, it still look like fun while I often laugh at the sport. Maybe I can actually attend one of competitions some day & get a better perspective. by the way, I do take it more serious than WWF Wrestling!

I thought this was a joke sport made up by the simpsons writers, but it's not, it's a real sport. This fact was surprising for me. Have you seen how excited look the curling players? This is unreal.

Whew. The worst and yet people like pushing coloured rocks down an icey lane while freezing to death. Worse than bowling, and saved for the incontinent of mind and drawers. Bad sport that couldn't get more boring.

8 Basketball Basketball is a sport played by two teams of five players on a rectangular court. The objective is to shoot a ball through a hoop 18 inches in diameter and 10 feet high mounted to a backboard at each end.

I certainly don't hate basketball. I have played it before and enjoy it. Watching, however, is very different. While points are put on the board by amazing top corner shots in soccer or amazing deep throws in football, points in basket ball are scored the same way every time, over and over throughout the whole match. Most of the time, offensive attacks result in hoops. I'm not saying there isn't skill involved in the plays, but it's different from other sports. I'd rather a very rare soccer goal that takes the crowd out of their seats or an impossible touchdown catch in heavy coverage. This is what makes a game fun to watch.

Dribble dribble shoot. Dribble dribble shoot. Ooh dang. Basketball in a nutshell.

It's too easy to score. In the NBA teams have gotten as many as 200 points. Raise the net so these 6-7 foot tall players can have a better challenge. Change the rules to make it similar to college so we can make scoring more prestigious. Also, can you please make it illegal for coaches to order fouls in order to stop the clock?

Every argument against basketball on here could be made for any sport, other than it being high scoring, which, in my opinion, makes it more exciting. Basketball highlight plays are more exciting than most other sports, rivaled only by American Football. You guys obviously haven't watched very much basketball if these are your opinions on the sport.

The players are so tall scoring is no problem. The rap/hip-hop association makes the reputation of the sport worse and hurts the reputation of the players. Teams can get as many as 200 points. In the closing seconds coaches will deliberately foul out their players in order to stop the clock despite it doing almost nothing.

9 Volleyball Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.

I hate sports and this is my second most hated. All they do is slide across the ground and kick up sand. I bet people are only staring at the man's abs and the women's butt not the game. Then they hit the ball one time and sit down with icy cold bottled water. It's really boring and I'd rather watch Dora the Explorer because that show is educational and fun (at least for me)!

I hate Volleyball. It's so flipping boring and slow, waiting for a ball and standing behind a net, hitting it and then repeat, while in sports like soccer, hockey, football etc there's much more action, and it requires you to run in order to help your team, which gives you that adrenaline. You do not get that adrenaline standing behind a net all day long.

Only thing hard about volleyball is running in the sand or getting balls slammed into your forearms. Other than that its kinda slow and boring and you really don't need that many people on a team, they barely cover any ground.

I didn't know men's indoor volleyball was a thing. Women's volley ball is cool, but I've never seen a men's volleyball team in any high school, college, or public league anywhere.

10 Gymnastics Gymnastics is a sport involving the performance of exercises requiring strength, flexibility, balance and control.

Guys, did you read the title? This isn't the easiest sports list. You don't need to go into full detail about how hard it is to be a gymnast because honestly, we don't care. This is just what most people find to be the most boring sports to watch, even if they're hard. Plus, this is seventeenth on the list. It's not like you're even in the top five.

Gymnatsics is NOT boring! Come on people! Everyone thinks gymnastics is so easy and that is gymnast do nothing but there are sooo wrong! I do gymnastics and it's the hardest thing I have ever done! After a long hard workout of routines, conditioning and shaping for 4-5 hours I am worn out. My hands Kill and I'm exhausted after every day

This IS the most boring sport. Even if J had a child I would not dare to watch this boring sport. No action, just watching people trying to break their backs and doing useless moves. Would rather watch any other sport.

Gymnastics is such a hard sport. I'd like to see other people try to do it. But it's also so exciting and just amazing.

The Contenders
11 Horseback Riding Horseback riding (or Equestrian) is one of the most intense sports known to man. Not only because it's physically challenging, but it takes more than athleticism. Horseback riding takes commitment, time, patience, and most importantly building a bond with your horse. If you don't have a good relationship with your horse, you're not going to have a good experience. You need to spend as much time with your horse as you can, riding and on the ground. You need to learn how to work with your horse, not against your horse. It's a team sport, a team of two. ...read more.

As someone who has been riding horses for God knows how long, I do have to agree that while it is an extremely dangerous hobby/sport if you don't know what you are doing, most of the time it can get repetitive and your horse may get bored/tired of you. Some of the things that you can do to avoid this is set up an obstacle course, as your horse would gain more trust in you and it will help with staying in rhythm. If you're comfortable with all four gaits, then find something that's thrilling and speedy. My town does historical throwbacks to mounted postal deliveries and it's basically a high-speed race to get to a nearby house, while crossing through fields at a full gallop. Trotting and cantering really fast could do it, if there's narrow passages and river obstacles along the way. Just make sure your saddlebags are secure and not too tight. I have tried it once with my horse Scout, and I felt amazing after that... So, yeah. if you feel bored while horseback riding, these activities ...more

Horseback riding is not easy. Lets have you train a 1800 pound animal who doesn't speak English and wants to throw you off its back. You have to learn to move and communicate with your horse using your whole body. Riding uses all the muscles in your body to speak to tour horse. You need to know how to discipline and correct you horse without getting frustrated and sloppy. You don't just point a horse at a 5 foot fence and expect it to have the perfect gaits and striding to make the fence effortless and clean. You've got to think of your course, the next fence, your posture, your corrections, your speed, your strides, and your horses mindset... All in the short time you have before your next fence. Higher level riders and horses make it look easy since they've had years of experience and practice.

Horse riding IS A SPORT and it is definitely not boring. It's very exhilarating, so much fun and great exercise if you know how to ride properly. There's nothing as rewarding as riding a horse at a canter or gallop. However, it is also a dangerous sport. I had a serious accident many moons ago and nearly died but eventually I started riding again and it was great.

Seriously... This isn't even a sport and watching people ride an animal that does all of the work... I would actually rather watch soccer or badminton than watch someone sit on the back of a horse that jumps over crap they decided to put in its way. Not to mention the fact that it is cruel to the horse since half the time they end up injured anyways.

12 Rugby Rugby league football, usually called rugby league, league, rugby or football , is a full contact sport played by two teams of thirteen players on a rectangular field.

It's soccer with hugging. Plus they run around with a ball the size if a frozen turkey. I looks like a very difficult sport to play, but so is soccer. Both are equally boring to watch. Only the last 2 minutes are of any interest, like basketball and soccer.

Grab the ball, run in a line and bash each other; rinse and repeat 5 times then the other side gives it ago. comparatively, there is zero technique, zero skill, zero team plays (besides running in a line and passing backwards) and zero coordination.
people love it because anyone can pick a ball up and run forward, that is all there is to it, if you can learn to pass backwards then your a champ!

What is rugby doing at number 50? Probably the greatest team sport there is! Must have been an American you made this list!

I agree I have played rugby since I was nine and now I'm 16 and I have never lost interest in the sport.

13 Figure Skating Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, duos, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. It was the first winter sport included in the Olympics, in 1908. The four Olympic disciplines are men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance.

Granted, figure skating is very boring, but it shouldn't be on this list. You know why? Because figure skating isn't a sport! That's right, you heard me! For the record, I think that anything that doesn't involve teamwork isn't a sport. Figure skating is more of a boring hobby. I'm sorry, figure skaters, but that's just my opinion. Can't everyone have their own opinion without getting hate-mail?

Didn't know a human that just had been realised from the ice age time made this list.
Ice skating is never boring. You see both men and women dancing alone, or in couple on the ice, while making very hard movements. Many may think this is boring, but for me, this is one of few sports I really like to watch. I think it's beutiful to watch it.

How are sports like figure skating, cheerleading, or synchronized swimming sports? They're forms of entertainment. No one's competing for anything, except for the Snazziest Outfit award. I may be wrong because I've never done any one of these.

Um, how is figure skating a sport? Now really, this site put gardening as a sport. Figure skating is fun, but it is so annoying when you have to were sparkly dresses that are pretty much like tanktops and shorts in snow. I mean it's freezing cold, who would do that?

14 Tennis Tennis is a racket sport that can be played individually against a single opponent or between two teams of two players each.

Some tennis matches can be boring to watch but you have to understand the intricacies of the sport to fully appreciate and have fun watching tennis. Different players play tennis differently, so you really have to understand tennis to have fun watching it.

Those who don't like tennis or can't play are unintelligent, unathletic, and cannot commit to anything that takes time and actual skill to learn. Unlike sports like soccer, baseball, or football, tennis requires years of practice. If you don't have the patience of love for tennis, it isn't the sport for you.

Can't bear watching this for more than 10 secs. The groaning of the players is so annoying, I mean I'm a swimmer and my sport is more tiring than tennis, but have you ever heard a swimmer groan during a race? Come on, tennis players, get a grip on yourselves!

What's more, nobody would watch tennis anyway if it wasn't for the short skirts the female players wear.

Tennis is just the most boring thing I can imagine watching.

How can anyone in their right mind even begin to see a tennis match as 'sport'? How can anyone support a game that says if you bugger up in the first place, you can have another go whilst at the same time, getting all creamy about a guy who gets the ball past his mate at the other end in one hit? I don't figure it. It's the same old, same old, one-eyed, one camera tripe - there is nothing ever different about it. Nothing. Boring sport of the world.

Literally the most underrated sport in the history of all sports, its ridiculously fun to play and watch (most of the time). The only reason people give it a bad rep or decide to not pay attention to it in the first place is because people are not tackling each-other every five seconds and/or the audience doesn't act like baboons and get pissed over every little detail that occurs during the game, smh. Anyway, tennis is an extremely fun sport and I have no clue why its on this list.

15 Dancing

Hi my names David Bailey and I love to dance. Dance is like my love, dance is life to me. When I dance it's better than masturbating, I lie in bed at night thinking oh my geez when is my next dancing sesh... I like to dance alone however I get moist when dancing with other male dancers. We like to buy girly costumes with sparkles. Peace.

One of my friends does contemporary dance and it is so boring. Its not even a real sport!

Pretty boring, should definitely be above figure skating on this list.

Boring to watch, UNLESS we are talking about exotic dancing.

16 Darts

It's a sport where the players do EXACTLY the same thing over and over and over again. They stand and throw. Hey, I can do that. The viewing experience is astonishingly dull.

Its hard to do but extremely boring! Grass growing is more entertaining and watching crickets jump too!

This is something you do at a bar or in your garage, not something that should be shown on T.V. or have the champion be reported on Wikipedia.

I think they would be better off throwing the darts at each then they can really score where its at.

17 Bowling

Man but some people actually like it and even compete for money doing it! Hard to imagine a more boring thing even if playing it. Takes some finesse but if the lane sucks, gotta learn some english and then get lucky. Anyone suggest this dog, suck in one's breath and suggest another event rather than waste time on this dog.

Baseball is not boring. The reason why they play 162 games is because they don't make much contact. It is fun to watch (maybe except for the Cubs and Astros). I watched all 97 Red Sox games this year and its even fun to watch when your team isn't playing great.

Bowling is a little boring to watch, but it's fun to play I think that bowling should be on the list but it should be last.

GZod its rolling a ball down the floor hitting a bunch of pins, who cares? Anyone can go do that if you have any ball with a bunch of action figures -.-

18 Lacrosse Lacrosse is a contact team sport played between two teams using a small rubber ball and a long-handled stick called a crosse or lacrosse stick.

Who ever put lacrosse at 31 thank you! What the world must realize is that lacrosse is the fastest game on two feet. Professional American Football players have said that lacrosse is much more difficult... Because it is! It is an hour straight of american football level contact while constantly running from a guy that wants to take your head off. The thing that I don't get is how Cheerleading bowling, and tennis came after this. CHEERLEADING isn't EVEN A SPORT! But not only do you have to run from the defense all over the field, you must also throw and catch a ball flying at 25mph, just for a gentle pass, with something that is a forgein object to your body. Enough said.

I do think lacrosse is harder than most sports and way more fast passed that's including football because in football you get to stop every ten seconds for like a minute. And in lacrosse you have to be tough not only the goalie has to take a ball. Actually one of the rules for a defender is to try to have his goalie not to have to stop a ball at all that included taking a ball for him. And on average a freshman in highschool could through a ball 65 to 75 mph and in college could go up to 90+mph.
I play football and lacrosse and I have gone to state for both and I could say lacrosse is harder and honestly more
Fun. And I think that one day lacrosse will be more popular than football and maybe some day soccer.

Lacrosse isn't boring because it's slow-paced, as it is a relatively quick-paced game. The problem with it is the fact that the the scores are too outrageously high (for one goal-one point standards) for anyone to be invested in. The defense can do virtually nothing to stop the offense from shooting, so lacrosse usually comes down to which goalie is worse. If there was a more reasonable amount of scoring, and more opportunity for the defense to counter the offense, then this sport would be far more interesting.

25 WHOLE miles an hour? It's tennis with a limp racket, larger playing area and more players. Which pro American football players have said Lacrosse is much more difficult? I know twice as many of them that have said making snow angels is 4.7 times harder than playing lacrosse, 5.72 times harder than staying awake watching soccer and 283% easier than walking and chewing gum. See? I can make statistics up as well. By the way, I am a lacrosse player.

19 Skeleton

Skeleton is a fast winter sliding sport in which a person rides a small sled down a frozen track while lying face down. The sledder goes relatively fast, but other than that, not much is very entertaining.

What the heck is skeleton? I mean I have never heard of that sport... I mean can someone explain what the sport SKELETON is?

Skeleton is a sport where you get on a tiny ass board and slide down a bobsled course headfirst. Not boring at all.

Skeleton is like bobsled and it is boring because you can't see them because of how fast they go!

20 Polo

I love tennis I play 30 hours per week and anyone who says it requires no skill has never played the sport competitively. 2012 Australian open final 5:53 and I ended an 2 AM. temperature never dropped below 106 and each player sprinted more than 15k. THAT is not an in athletic sport!

This is actually a really intense sport. I bet whoever put it on here has never even seen a polo match in their life. people make the misconception that it's like golf with horses, but really, it's like really intense field hockey but the ball is smaller and they've tossed in a bunch of hyped up horses. Really fast paced and interesting.

Horseback riding is a cool sport in genaral but polo is boring as poop. Id sayb that only playing it is fun. Watching is not.

I saw a porno once that had a horse and a woman. That was interesting.

21 Fishing

I guess flatlanders who live in farm country might not think it's a sport, but 3/4 of the earth's surface is covered by OCEAN.
The fish can be HUGE, there are SHARKS that you can fish for directly, or that come up and attack your catch right in front of you.
A 500 pound marlin or tuna takes massive muscles to bring in.
Oh never mind, just stay in your backyard ponds and away from me.

SCREW YOU HATERS! Fishing is great! and while yes, waiting for a bite can be pretty boring, the fight that follows is pretty exciting. And if you do it right, you don't have to wait that long. And not all fishing is just a grandpa and his son on the edge of a dock catching dinky little minnows, you can catch sharks, marlin, tuna, sturgeon, and more! you don't even need your ow boat to do that, just book a fishing charter!

Fishing and hunting are no sports. Anything that involves a party that does not know they are part of the sport, like the fish, shouldn't be classified as a sports. Fishing is a survival skill everyone should know, but calling it a sport is like calling competitive grocery shopping a sport. The ultimate goal of fishing is the same as pushing a grocery cart... to provide dinner.

How is this not in the top 3? Basically this sport is waiting an hour for a fish to bite the hook. Then you release it after all you've waited. That's it. Catching a fish may be exciting, but waiting for one to bite is an absolute bore!

22 Rounders

It's the same as Baseball.

23 Cherry Pit Spitting

Great sport and lotsa fun. If can hit the other side of the creek, will win a flat tire. Well, better than bowling and curling for sure!

I didn't know spitting anything from your mouth could even be considered a sport. Stupid.

Cherry pit spitting is the lamest sport in the world. Stupid stupid stupid. How'd it become a sport anyway

What kind of sport is this? I don't like cherries, so this sounds disgusting to me

24 Squash

We had a squash team at my middle school. To this day I still have no idea what squash is.

You just hit a stupid thing against a wall over and over.

What the hell is Squash?

Better than athletics watching someone run round and round a track is so boring

25 Table Tennis Ping-pong, or table tennis, is a sport where players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table.

And now it's an Olympic Sport. It's the most BORING thing to watch AND to play. You smash a tiny ball off a paddle back and forth until the ball jumps away from you. It isn't very fun, or necessary to exist

It's boring tennis with the players bigger than the court, not the other way around. In fact, maybe it is baseball + tennis minimized.

It's great, not boring! But it is, I almost fell asleep when my dad made me watch it

So cool and a great way of having fun without too much physical action
