Top 10 New Characters in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The Top Ten
Kylo Ren Kyle Ren, also known as Ben Solo, is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Kylo Ren commands the First Order with a temper as fiery as his unconventional lightsaber. Ren first appeared in 2015's Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Ben Solo, the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia, was... read more

A great villain. Not as much of a badass as Darth Vader, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

Aside from the menacing costume and new lightsaber, it's a different approach to being a villain. He isn't just a bad guy with no depth - he is a character who is menacing but also afraid of turning to the light side. Seeing a human side of a villain is something we don't often get in films.

Adam Driver killed it as Kylo Ren.

He is a young version of Darth Vader and was trained by the most powerful Jedi, Luke Skywalker.

Did I mention that his lightsaber is really cool?

Rey Rey is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed by British actress Daisy Ridley. First appearing as the central character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rey is a scavenger who was left behind on the planet Jakku when she was a child, and later becomes involved with the Resistance's... read more

Great character. Daisy Ridley did a great job as Rey.

Other than the performance, the character herself is just awesome. She's kind, she's crafty, and she kicks ass. Some people think she is too perfect, but Luke and Anakin also performed amazing things due to their Force powers.

Something I loved about her character is how she was afraid. Anakin and Luke were confident and excited to become Jedi. Rey didn't embrace her destiny - she ran from it. This showed weakness within her character and gave her slightly more depth than past Star Wars protagonists.

It's also great to finally have a female Jedi in the movies.

Finn FN-2187 (Finn) is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. He first appeared in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens in which he is a stormtrooper for the First Order who flees and turns against it after being shocked by their cruelty in his first combat mission. He is portrayed by English... read more

I can't believe they made Rey more powerful than Finn, and it was all just because of feminazi stuff (from what I heard, I could be wrong).

Finn had a reason to get pissed at Kylo Ren, and honestly, I think the ending would have been a LOT better if Finn fought and defeated Ren.

Poe Dameron Poe Dameron is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Introduced in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he is portrayed by Oscar Isaac.
BB-8 BB-8 or Beebee-Ate is a droid character in the Star Wars franchise, first appearing in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Best and most popular new character. There is so much merchandise featuring this character.

You derps! BB-8 should be number 1!

He is so cute!

General Hux General Armitage Hux is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. First introduced in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he is portrayed by Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson.

Hux is Hitler in space.

Snoke Supreme Leader Snoke is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Snoke served as the mysterious leader of the First Order. Supreme Leader Snoke is a CGI character voiced and performed by Andy Serkis.

He's the Supreme Leader of the First Order, and we don't even know his identity. He only appeared as a hologram.

Phasma
Maz Kanata Maz Kanata is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Introduced in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, she is a CGI character voiced and performed through motion capture by Lupita Nyong'o.

She should be #1.

I feel like she should have creeped me out, but she didn't. "I am no Jedi, but I know the Force..."
