Top 10 Most Powerful Star Wars Characters

The Top Ten
Yoda Yoda is a fictional character in the Star Wars space opera franchise created by George Lucas, first appearing in the 1980 film The Empire Strikes Back. He is portrayed by Frank Oz.

Would have killed the strongest Sith to exist if Sidious hadn't kept running.

The most powerful Jedi. Faster than he looks if you've played any games.

Palpatine Sheev Palpatine (also known by his Sith identity Darth Sidious and publicly as Senator Palpatine, then Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, and later Emperor Palpatine) is a fictional character and one of the primary antagonists of the Star Wars franchise, mainly portrayed by Ian McDiarmid.

Able to bring the Jedi Order and the Republic to their knees, Palpatine is incredibly powerful. While it can be argued that he lost the lightsaber duel to Yoda in Revenge of the Sith, he probably grew more powerful until the events of Return of the Jedi, making him number 1 or 2, with Vader as his competition.

He could fight both Darth Maul and Savage Opress at once for a while. All this talk of Vader being stronger than him is stupid. Sidious could kill Vader in maybe 3 minutes, tops.

He is the most powerful. He can save himself from death, and the Jedi can't touch him.

Darth Vader Darth Vader is a Star Wars character and the main antagonist of the first three original Star Wars films and the main protagonist of the Star Wars prequel trilogy under his original name Anakin Skywalker. How powerful is Vader from the movies?

Powers
Force Choke: Vader used this ability many times in the first three movies. It requires him to think of an invisible hand around someone's throat. However, most of the time, this power cannot kill and results in the vibration of the throat and coughing. Although the hand is invisible, the victim can clutch at their throat and break the grip. This power can also take a long time to become effective.

Telekinesis: Vader can use this to lift small objects or levitate himself.

Strength: Vader can use his advanced strength to overcome opponents.

Luke Skywalker Luke Skywalker is a fictional character appearing as the central protagonist of the original film trilogy, and as a supporting character in the sequel trilogy of the Star Wars universe created by George Lucas. He is portrayed by Mark Hamill.

Old Luke Skywalker is the most powerful person in Star Wars. Period. Not only was he able to beat Darth Vader when he was young, but he has also accomplished more feats than any other Jedi in the Star Wars universe. He is feared by the entire First Order and is even capable of using Force Lightning. He conjured up a ghost of himself to challenge Kylo Ren across the galaxy. He can defeat Vader, Sidious, Yoda, Rey, and anyone else that challenges him.

No question about this one. George Lucas himself said that Luke was the most powerful Jedi who ever lived. End of discussion!

Obi-Wan Kenobi Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, played by Sir Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor.
Mace Windu Mace Windu is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, portrayed by actor Samuel L. Jackson in the prequel films.

He is such a boss! He created Vaapad and mastered all seven forms of lightsaber combat. Not only is he the best lightsaber duelist of all time, but he is also an extremely powerful Force user who could use the Force Crush, which even Yoda couldn't. He beat Palpatine/Sidious in a duel and was the second most senior member of the Jedi Council, only after Master Yoda. He also led 212 Jedi in the Battle of Geonosis and killed Jango Fett, one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy, who was famously known for killing many, many Jedi. Plus, Obi-Wan failed to defeat him. Mace Windu should be ranked higher than Dooku, Luke, Vader, and Obi-Wan.

He is underrated. If Maul fought Yoda, he would win 2 out of 10 times. Also, TCW Maul would win 4 out of 10 and could beat Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Took on Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, defeated Qui-Gon, and survived being cut in half.

Admiral Motti

Admiral Motti was one of the stockiest men in the galaxy and could have ruled the Empire if he had truly desired to. Tarkin and Motti started to grapple, briefly struggling, but Motti was stronger. Not only was he much bigger and taller, but his bones were also stronger, making him physically superior. Tarkin was pushed to the ground, with Motti now on top of him, about to punch him. Tarkin gouged at Motti's eyes, saving himself for the moment, until Motti lifted Tarkin and threw him against the ground once again. Tarkin tried, but he could not get the young man off. Motti had a warrior's build, standing at 6'5 and weighing over 220 lbs of muscle. Tarkin heard his bones crack as Motti started choking him, eventually killing him.

Motti then went to confront Vader. As Vader choked him, Motti gasped for 10 minutes before clobbering Vader with his superior frame. Motti was later choked by the Emperor for 40 minutes but was durable enough to survive and kill the Emperor. Motti then ruled the Empire. The end.

Padme Amidala Padmé Amidala is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, appearing in the prequel trilogy portrayed by actress Natalie Portman.

Ranking Padme above a skilled Jedi is questionable, but she is still impressive. In peak condition, she was able to fall hundreds of feet from a gunship while already scratched by a cat-like creature. Although she was incapacitated for about a minute, she had no bruises or broken bones. A Clone Trooper wearing armor designed to absorb energy was incapacitated for about the same time.

Padme was able to kick the heads off droids made of metal, outpace them, and destroy them before they could react. She healed from a significant scratch in one day without scarring. Despite being Force-choked by Anakin while pregnant, she remained in perfect health. She could leap dozens of feet into the air and withstand a blow from a creature that could decimate pillars, only leaving superficial marks on her skin. Padme could casually dodge blaster bolts and keep up with Jedi during the Battle of Geonosis without showing fatigue. While not a Force user, Padme shouldn't be underestimated.

General Grievous General Grievous is a fictional character and antagonist in the Star Wars franchise. He served as the Supreme Commander of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' Droid Armies during the Clone Wars. He is voiced by Matthew Wood.

Grievous is awesome! His four lightsabers make him a powerful enemy.
