Most Forgotten Mario Characters
We don't know why he's pink or why he's even in Donkey Kong Jr. Math.
Despite beating Wario Land 4, I never knew about her. Many years later, I did some Google searches about this game and learned about her existence.
The Golden Diva cursed her, turning her into a black cat. When you end the game, depending on the chests you collected, the princess will return to her human form in a different way in each ending and thank Wario. Because I got the worst ending, I didn't recognize her. This is because the princess returns to her form shown in the upper image in the good ending or in a mature version of herself in the best ending.
She is cute, helpful, and my personal favorite Mario princess.

Wart is my favorite Mario character of all time!
Back in the day, they should have picked her over Waluigi or Daisy for Mario spin-offs. For one, she has history with Wario, Peach, and Mario. Secondly, she isn't a carbon copy of an existing character and has a different role (how many female villains are there? Exactly). She isn't just another princess and has her own individuality.
But this is the series that glorifies clones. Unfortunately, unique characters like her fade into obscurity while simple edits of existing characters like Rosalina get massive amounts of exposure.
Inviso is only in one level in Yoshi's Story. You have to beat this hard level, and he's hard to defeat too. He never returned.
Tatanga is a villain from the Mario Bros. Franchise. He is known as Princess Daisy's arch nemesis as he has targeted her on kidnapping missions. His only appearance was in the 1989 game, Super Mario Land, in which he kidnapped Princess Daisy and was the main villain of the game against Mario. This guy was an underrated villain. He should have appeared in future Mario games with unique 3D styles, especially since Mario Odyssey was released. I wish he had been included in the Mario franchise.
In the game, an alien kidnaps Princess Daisy (who became Luigi's significant other) and forces her to marry him. Mario (or possibly Luigi disguised as his brother) goes into action to rescue her.
In 6 Golden Coins, Tatanga returns from the space level as the boss, seeking revenge on Mario for ruining their marriage. If this guy appeared in Mario Odyssey, it would be the best.
Originating from the SNES Donkey Kong Country, in which he is the CEO of Funky's Flights, this Kong absolutely tears up the race track with a massive +4 speed and +3 off-road stat, making him the most popular character in Mario Kart Wii online play. Funky Kong is amazing! The last reference to him (I think) was in Mario Kart Wii.
This guy isn't anywhere to be seen but in the realm of Eclair. The story of Eclair was told with Luigi getting beaten up by Eclair's father, the Chestnut King.
Mallow is way more forgotten than Geno. I hear about Geno often, especially in messages where people want him to be in Smash.
Many people who played this game remember Geno, but Mallow is forgotten.
Forgotten? Well, everyone mentions Geno, not him.
I believed Baby Wario was fake until I played Yoshi's Island DS. Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, and Baby Princesses were all real.
And then there's Chunky... he's dead.
