Top 10 Techniques to Making an Oscar-Worthy Movie

If you've always wanted an Oscar, then use these techniques!
The Top Ten
1 Make it take place during the World Wars or during a Civil Rights Movement
2 Lengthen the movie until it's 3 hours long
3 Develop the villains as mob members
4 Have the main character endure a disability, a loved one's death, and/or a prison sentence.

For example, Forrest Gump. He overcame his mother dying and his leg braces.

5 The movie should span a lifetime

From infancy to the deathbed, your movie should have everything about the main character.

6 Make it Rated R

Many films that are nominated have very adult topics such as addiction, crime, sex, etc.

7 The genre should be a drama

You'll rarely see any comedy or horror films get nominated.

8 Have Morgan Freeman narrate

You'd have to pay millions of dollars, obviously.

9 Put a caption saying "Based on a true story"
10 Have characters look at each other whilst riding on a train at one point
