Top 10 Worst Classic Rock Bands

You know the bands that old people brag about that are supposedly the only good kind of rock music and that all modern Rock is garbage. Not every classic rock band is a jem. Hair/ glam metal still counts because that is actually just hard rock with poppier lyrics.

The Top Ten

1 KISS KISS Kiss is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in January 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and the band's original manager, Lew Linet.

Yeah, them old folks have very little to contribute of any consequence... Funny though, at the height of this bands popularity, I literally knew no one who took them seriously. There target audience was clearly pre- pubescent boys. Their great stage show was all anyone over 14 wanted to see. If you know anyone, at any age singing the praises of this band, you have my pity. - Ned964

The worst garage band ever to make the big time. It's inexplicable.

All the songs are very similar. I think they had a good start just ruined it later on

They SUCK.

2 Winger Winger

When I think of Winger I'm thinking of Stewart from Beavis and Butthead wearing that T-shirt in knowing how very forgettable they were there pretty much an interesting piece of history. - htoutlaws2012

A extremlely forgettable band at best.

3 L.A. Guns L.A. Guns

Not really that great in all honesty.

4 Warrant Warrant Warrant is an American glam metal band formed in 1984 in Hollywood, California, that experienced success from 1989 to 1996 with five albums reaching international sales of over 10 million.

Nonsense. A band cultivated and marketed to the masses. A sad statement on the tastes of anyone listening to popular radio at the time. I feel blessed that I've only heard a very small sample size of this bands "music". A bunch of rubbish - Ned964

Somehow youtube keeps recommending cherry pie and its hurting me - EliHbk

And people claim that nu metal is corny...

5 White Lion White Lion

Utterly not even semi-decent.

6 Poison Poison Poison is an American hair/glam metal band that achieved great commercial success in the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s.

I've still got friends that listen to this nonsense. To each their own. For the tremendous popularity they achieved in the late 1980's, this band easily gets my vote for the worst. A couple palatable tunes, but largely a disaster. - Ned964

Hair metal is hard rock which still counts as Classic Rock to me.

7 Guns N' Roses Guns N' Roses Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles formed in 1985. What do people see in this band? Honestly I see a mediocre wannabe Beatles and the Beatles is already mediocre to begin with.

Made better blues songs than the beatles. Built on their influences unlike the beatles. - sweetbeef

Good band, not wannabe beatles. - sweetbeef

"Mediocre wannabe Beatles? " Is your hearing okay? There are virtually NO similarities between them. The Stones are a rock, rock 'n' roll, and R&B band. Not long after achieving fame, the Beatles went heavily pop. As to mediocrity, it's true the Stones are a studio band. Very consistently disappointing live.

21 Cheap Trick Cheap Trick Cheap Trick is an American rock band from Rockford, Illinois, formed in 1973. As of 2010, the band currently consists of Robin Zander, Rick Nielsen, Tom Petersson and Daxx Nielsen.

Maybe including the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Queen was done for shock value? Anyway, I saw Cheap Trick live once and it was obviously a track show. Every time the lead guitarist went on a solo, the lights would go off in the theatre. No kidding. At first I thought it kinda cool, but as the set dragged on, it got very annoying, many others noticed as well. It may have been only that night, but I had the misfortune of going that night. - Ned964

Extremely Overrated but not "worst" material - christangrant

Overrated is an entirely different concept, don't vote because of that, go to an overrated lsit if you want to. But Led Zeppelin are talented. - SoldierOfFortune

They are a very overrated rock band. But think where rock music would be today without them? Hard rock wouldn't be like today if there weren't led zeppelin. Eddie Van Halen and Van Halen, Steve Vai, Queen, Rush, Kirk Hammett, AC/DC, Ramones, Aerosmith wouldn't be here today. - zxm
