Best Nickelodeon Cartoons Between 1991-2011

The Top Ten
1 SpongeBob SquarePants SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine biologist and animator the late Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is currently the most popular show on Nickelodeon, as well as the longest running show, running for 23 years, and is beginning its 13th season. The show revolves around a sea sponge called SpongeBob SquarePants and his adventures under the sea. The show is considered to be one of the best Nickelodeon and cartoon shows of all time.

This came out in 2004. Not 91, and it stopped airing good episodes around 2010 or so. The show has really gone downhill lately.

The Iron Man of Nickelodeon is SpongeBob SquarePants. Appearing in every episode, it's too bad he's not real, but he's good.
Its Joeysworld

Even adults and teens like this show and I'm not surprised because this show is just hilarious for all ages

Between 1991 and 2011 this was the best of course

2 Avatar: The Last Airbender Avatar: The Last Airbender is an American animated television series that aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. Avatar: The Last Airbender is set in an Asiatic-like world in which some people are able to manipulate the classical elements by use of psychokinetic variants of Chinese martial arts, known as "bending". This show is often seen as one of the greatest cartoons of all time and is commonly thought to be an anime.

One of the best shows Nickelodeon has given us. People of all ages love it! And that really says something! Love love love love love this show.

3 Invader Zim Invader Zim is an American animated television series created by Jhonen Vasquez for Nickelodeon. The series centers on an extraterrestrial named Zim from the planet Irk, and his mission to conquer Earth and enslave the human race along with his malfunctioning robot servant GIR.

Invader Zim is the BEST! The animation is very well done, the stories are entertaining and hilarious, and the general idea is just brilliant! The characters are all adorable (usually), funny, and all unique. I am so sad it was cancelled :(. It can be kinda dark at times, and probably shouldn't be seen by young kids, but for older people this is the BEST CARTOON EVER. And SpongeBob - that sorry FILTHY STUPID TERRIBLE IDIOTIC DISGUSTING PIECE OF CRAP of a show - needs to BE KILLED WITH FIRE AND SUFFER IN HELL FOREVER. BRING BACK ZIIM!

Not much for kids

4 Hey Arnold! Hey Arnold! is an American animated television series created by Craig Bartlett that aired on Nickelodeon from October 7, 1996 to June 8, 2004. The show centers on a fourth grader named Arnold, who lives with his grandparents in an inner-city boarding house.

I'd put Avatar but I still technically consider it an anime. But this show is probably the best Nickelodeon cartoon overall. It's my favorite for several reasons.
1. You could relate to the characters and they were also lovable.
2. The soundtrack. Search on youtube Jim Lang. He created the amazing soundtrack that is so often overlooked. He was/is a genius.
3. The realism of the show. Not only the characters but the setting, the atmosphere.. It all felt real. It's what made it more than a kids show. While kids sat and watched and reveled in the comedy and the endearing nature of the show the adults could sit back and go "wow that was deep" and the show had appeal for adults as well as kids. Good mix of different types of humors.
I could go on and on... Amazing show.

5 The Fairly OddParents The Fairly OddParents is an American animated television series created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon.

I love Cosmo the most because when I look at him I think his skin is really soft and cozy

7 T.U.F.F. Puppy T.U.F.F. Puppy is a cartoon created by Butch Hartman. It ran on Nickelodeon from October 2, 2010 until April 4, 2015. It focused on Dudley Puppy and his partner Kitty Katswell as they protected Petropolis under the Turbo Undercover Fighting Force, or T.U.F.F.
8 Danny Phantom Danny Phantom is an American animated series created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon. It was produced by Billionfold Studios and distributed in Canada by Nelvana, a Canadian animation company. The series follows a teenage boy who, after an accident with an unpredictable portal between the human world and the "Ghost Zone", becomes a human-ghost hybrid and takes on the task of saving his town (and the world) from subsequent ghost attacks using an evolving variety of supernatural powers. He is aided in his quest by his two best friends, and later, his older sister, who for most of the series' run are among the only people who know of his double life.
9 Naruto Naruto is an anime and manga franchise Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto. The manga was later adapted into a television anime, which was produced by Studio Pierrot and Aniplex. The series centers on the surreal life of an anthropomorphic Australian-immigrant wallaby named Rocko as well as his friends: the gluttonous steer Heffer, the neurotic turtle Filburt, and Rocko's faithful dog Spunky.

Come, come now, this show was actually WAY better than SpongeBob.

By all rights, this should be number one.

The Contenders

It was aired on both Nickelodeon and Nicktoons on July 9, 2005 and ended February 10, 2007. It is an adaptation of TenNapel's graphic novel, Gear, which is also the name of the cats' monster truck. The series features music composed by longtime TenNapel collaborator, Terry Scott Taylor. Catscratch's first DVD appearance was on Nick Picks Vol. 3, which came out on February 7, 2006 (though the DVD contained only "Bringin' Down the Mouse").

I find this show very underrated. But I still really like this show. It's a good show
