Most Unique Rock Singers

The Top TenXW

1James HetfieldJames Alan Hetfield was born on August 3, 1963. He is an American musician, singer and songwriter known for being the co-founder, lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter for the American heavy metal band Metallica.

Hetfield's voice has evolved over the career of Metallica, drastically some may say, James Hetfield is unique, it doesn't matter if your a fan of Metallica or not, you can always recognize them because of his iconic voice, he is a legend in his own right, and knocks most vocalists out of the water with his ability to have a harsh growl or softer tone. His vocal range over the years has changed for the better (some may disagree) But neither the less, he will be remembered for generations to come.

Both James and Serj are amazing vocalists. I wish more people in the world would listen to real music rather than techno.

Oh please, James is most certainly the best, go and listen to him live then on the black album and vote

2Robert PlantRobert Anthony Plant is an English musician, singer, and songwriter best known as the lead singer and lyricist of the rock band Led Zeppelin.

He was a mold breaking revolutionary rock singer that spawned thousands of inferior imitations. Exactly the same goes for that band he was in. It is slowly being forgotten (as all things are with the passage of enough time) just how pioneering and unique Plant & Zep were in late 1968. Nobody had ever seen or heard anything remotely like them.

He wasn't even a unique shrieker, never mind singer! Very unpleasant voice, at best.

3Freddie MercuryFreddie Mercury was born in Stone Town, Tanzania he later became a British singer, songwriter and record producer, known as the lead vocalist and songwriter of the rock band Queen. He also became known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range. Before he became a singer he has been more.

Freddie was totally unique! He was the epitome of unique, from the GREATEST VOICE in the universe, to his command of the crowd, his rapport/connection w/ every single audience member, his enormous charisma, his unbridled/unmatched passion... He was a dynamo! So mesmerizing, so electric, just so insanely AWESOME!
Freddie is what defines unique!
FREDDIE is the GOD OF MUSIC! The best of the best, now and forever!

Freddie Mercury is the most awesome and unique rock singer ever b/c he (in the words of opera diva, Montserrat Caballe) actually HAS a voice! And what a voice it is! Sublime! The voice of GOD!

4Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian; Demons & Wizards)Hansi Kürsch, born Hans Jürgen Kürsch, is the lead singer, lyricist, co-composer and bassist for German power metal band Blind Guardian . Heavily influenced by Freddie Mercury, he creates a huge choir effect by overdubbing his own voice multiple times in complex, overlapping vocal harmonies. He records more.V1 Comment

A big no no, you put serj, bennington and biersack ahead of Robert plant and Maynard. You lot have dropped on your head

9Spencer Sotelo

Being able to follow music as technically complicated as that of Periphery takes some major talent in itself, couple that with the fact he can hit some amazing notes and you've got yourself a pretty unique singer. The only comparable person would be Elliot Coleman but he's completely different to listen to.

Probably the most impressive tenor I've ever heard! Great balance of clarity and grit with one of the highest ranges and pleasant tone to listen to! He simply pushes the limit further and sets the bar really high!

One of the most distinct voices in modern rock who can croon like a choir boy and then scream till windows shatter. As Linkin Park evolved their sound, Chester has managed to adapt to whatever style they went.

The best Linkin Park has the best rock singer followed by bono of the u2.
Still has a childish voice with concernable feebility to match his singing tone. Great singer
