Best Albums to Get You Into Black Metal

I made the same list for death metal, but I feel black metal is much harder to get into.

1 Blood Fire Death - Bathory

The first black metal album have I heard. It had ultra low quality because of a series of copying from casette to casette, but the feeling got through. Fast, harsh and violent, but with some harmonies, so this is a perfect entry to the misty world of black metal.

My all time favorite! Quorthon had a great guttural style, and I'm sure you'll all like it too.

This album incorporates Nordic Folk elements, and sings about viking themes. Its not your cliche "Hail Satan 666 Trve Cvlt" type stuff. This is what started me.

Whole album was so perfect, the word can't be as perfect as this, Holocaust..A fine day to die..pace til death, all of them were so mind blowing.

I'm just voting because legends like immortal are getting lower down the list, I'm keeping them up top

2 Now, Diabolical - Satyricon

This is what got me into the Norwegian stuff. Satyr has a good voice, and it has good riffs, and good sound quality. Also, this isn't "satanic" either. Its actually medieval themed black metal.

3 De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas - Mayhem

The first black metal album I ever listened to. Just sat down and decided, "hey, this looks pretty cool, plus I've heard a lot of good stuff about it." AMAZING ALBUM! 10/10

This album may not be the 1st that I've listened too but it gotten me into Black Metal.

4 Meir - Kvelertak

You like rocknroll? You like riffs? You'll like this album. Imagine black metal vox with amazing riffs. It feels like taking a black metal band and fusing them with Led Zeppelin.

This album was very cool, I never expected them to be this good

5 Death Cult Armageddon - Dimmu Borgir

Symphonic Black Metal! Elititsts love to hate them, but they truly have good music. There's a reason why so many non-black metal fans enjoy Dimmu Borgir
