Top Ten Best 3D Animated TV Show and Movie Pairings and Ships

Ah, romance. With the power to destroy fanbases and create life-long friendships. You know what else has this power? The difference between 3D animation and cartoons. I've noticed that a lot of the "best cartoon ___" lists end up including 3D animation, not just cartoons, causing some... complication.

3D animation fans, now is your time to shine! Here's a list to celebrate your favorite romantic relationships- exclusively from your favorite 3D animated movies and TV shows.
The Top Ten
1 Flynn Ryder/Eugene Fitzherberts & Rapunzel (Tangled)

One beautiful aspect to observe is how these two characters learn so much from each other and how they became each other's dream. Initially, all they wanted was to experience something relatively material, such as wealth or seeing lanterns.

By the end, both were willing to sacrifice what they had worked so hard to get - the crown, money, security, or freedom from Gothel - just to let the other live. They make an excellent couple.

2 Kristoff & Anna (Frozen)

I know that a lot of people on this website really dislike Frozen, but bear with me. These two have one of the healthiest Disney romances. They ask before kissing, learn from one another, get to know the other's family, and look out for each other. They do not get married until they have known each other for about three years, unlike a lot of other animated pairings. What more could you ask for?

3 Obitine (Obi-wan Kenobi & Satine Kryze) (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

Young lovers who were forced apart reunite in their late 30s/early 40s. Despite bickering and sassing one another constantly, they are still absolutely in love with each other and care for each other to the greatest extent that they can manage.

Obitine is tragic, but the tragedy is beautiful, not "tragedy for tragedy's sake". The two characters are likable without the other, and just as enjoyable, if not more, when together. They make a fantastic duo.

4 The Love Square (Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir)

These characters drive me crazy, but in the best way.

5 Carl & Ellie Fredricksen (Up)

The legendary love story that brought us all to tears in 20 minutes and then made us cry again 60 minutes later. Is there anything they can't do? Besides go to Paradise Falls together? (I apologize if that last sentence was cold.)

6 Rose and Juleka (Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir)

Such a sweet couple! These two characters are so different from one another that normally I would not understand the romance. But in this case, their differences truly make them stronger.

Juleka is able to open up when with Rose, and Rose is able to be more of a realist when with Juleka. I am looking forward to seeing more of their cuteness.

7 Luca & Alberto (Luca)

This may be a bit controversial, seeing as these two never technically dated and they were quite young. But the chemistry and lovely connection that they shared, in my opinion, shows the beginnings of a lovely childhood-friends-to-lovers romance.

I don't think that Pixar would go that route, but it is certainly nice to think about.

8 Buzz and Jessie (Toy Story)

When I was little, I didn't really understand this couple. But after re-watching the films, particularly the third one, I understood the pairing more. It is such an unlikely pairing, but I feel like that's part of the charm.

Buzz and Jessie are usually such confident and outgoing characters, so seeing them turn into awkward piles of mush is very entertaining.

9 Woody and Bo Peep (Toy Story)
10 Lightning McQueen and Sally (Cars)
The Contenders
11 Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse)
