Top 10 Best Courage the Cowardly Dog Characters
Courage the Cowardly Dog is a cult classic from Cartoon Network and has been a favorite for both kids and adults alike, thanks in large part to its colorful and eccentric cast of characters.
The show is set in the middle of Nowhere, a fittingly named location where anything from the weird to the downright spooky can and does happen. At the heart of it all is our favorite pink canine, Courage, navigating this world of oddities with a heart full of fear but also an unwavering dedication to keeping his loved ones safe.
Every character in Courage the Cowardly Dog brings their own unique flavor to the table, making the show an unforgettable roller coaster of emotions. Whether it's the endearing, albeit naive, Muriel or the grumpy, armchair-bound Eustace, these characters have delighted, terrified, and made us laugh out loud with their wild antics and quirky personality traits.
And then there are the show's many villains and creatures, each one stranger and more terrifying than the last. From Katz with his suave yet sinister demeanor to the hauntingly bizarre Ramses, each antagonist presents their own unique challenge to our hero. Despite being the sources of Courage's many fears, these characters are as integral to the show's charm as the lovable trio of Courage, Muriel, and Eustace.

Courage
Courage is a fictional character and the titular main protagonist of the Cartoon Network animated series Courage the Cowardly Dog. The show originally aired from 1999 to 2002. Courage is a pink dog who often finds himself facing bizarre and supernatural threats to protect his owners.
By far the best and most underrated cartoon dog ever to exist and one of the greatest cartoon characters of all time. Courage has the purest of hearts. Despite being cowardly, he always faces up to his fears and puts himself in danger to protect Muriel. His quote: "The things I do for love." I really wish this character was more popular in the world.
He is my favorite character from Courage the Cowardly Dog show from my childhood. Although he may be shown as a coward, the truth is that he is the most courageous character of the whole series. He is the best character in my opinion, and I am happy to see that he is ranked number one. He is cute, courageous, smart, skilled, funny, charismatic, and clever. He is the best.

I wonder what it could be. Well, judging by the markings and the obvious age of the relic, I have to say it would be... Garbage! Garbage from King Garbage of the Garbage Dynasty.
I know everyone hates him due to him being a jerk. But in my opinion, he is one of the most relatable and funny characters on the show.
Sometimes he teams up with Courage, but usually dislikes him due to Courage getting the attention from Muriel.
-
Katz
Katz is a fictional character from the Cartoon Network animated series Courage the Cowardly Dog. He appears frequently as a recurring antagonist. His first appearance was in the episode "A Night at the Katz Motel."
I just love how Courage's archenemy is a cat (cat vs. dog). It's so simple it's genius! But seriously, this guy is awesome. He always steals the show because he balances creepiness and swag so well.
He is hands down the best. Don't fight me on it because you know it's true. I kind of liked all the villains, but I loved Katz.
Best Cartoon Network villain ever.
-
Muriel
She is the sweet little old lady no good person would willingly harm. In other words, she's the Granny who is a godsend.
She is the nicest character on the show. She really cares about Courage a lot. She should be in the top two with Courage.
How the hell is Useless (Eustace) higher than Muriel? Muriel is 14,858,699,007,486 times better than her cruddy husband.
-

His smile is disgusting, his hobbies are monstrous, his personality is twisted, but I like him.
His smile cracks me up and creeps me out at the same time. Fred is awesome!

Computer
He always has a solution for Courage's problems. Plus, he knows how to spout the best insults.
-
Cajun Fox
"That dog is becoming a real pain in my" (sinks under the water before he can finish his sentence). I just love this fox.

By far the best character in the show.
This is the best comedy character. When he loses, he says, Watch where you're going, ya fool!
-
Shirley
After watching this show for many years, I learned one lesson: don't mess with Shirley or her stuff. She's the character that goes from an ally to a foe (she cursed Eustace and Muriel to swindle each other, then on the other hand, she was able to stop the force that tried to pull both Eustace and Muriel into its lair). On top of all of that, she's one good saxophone player (why a saxophone for a gypsy chihuahua?).
Shirley should be higher. She is my favorite side character in the show and is very interesting and complex.

Space Squid
I just love this episode. It has a sad ending for the parent squids, but overall, it encapsulates all forms of beauty that fascinate us, such as the illuminating stars above and the vibrant flowers on Earth.
-
Ma Bagge
Ma Bagge is the most evil and nastiest character in the show because she and Horst rubbed Eustace's face in his entire life, and she is the one who is trying to break up his marriage!
