   In a world where Digimon exists only as a card game and TV show, Takato Matsuki manifests a real Digimon partner, Guilmon, after scanning a mysterious blue card and using his own drawing. Alongside fellow Tamers Rika with Renamon and Henry with Terriermon, he becomes involved in battles against wild Digimon that begin appearing in the real world, drawing the scrutiny of the government group Hypnos.

   The team travels to the Digital World to rescue Calumon and encounters the Digimon Sovereigns, then returns to confront the D-Reaper, a runaway digital entity that endangers both reality and the Digital World.

2. Digimon Adventure (1999)

   

   During summer camp, seven children are transported to the Digital World, where they meet Digimon partners and receive Digivices. They work to stabilize the Digital World against enemies such as Devimon, Etemon, Myotismon, and the Dark Masters while uncovering the meaning of being DigiDestined.

   After defeating Apocalymon and restoring order, the children are forced to separate from their partners and return to the human world.

   A new group of DigiDestined, Davis, Yolei, and Cody, join returning members T.K. and Kari and receive D-3 Digivices that allow access to a changed Digital World. They oppose the Digimon Emperor, the persona of Ken Ichijouji, who uses Dark Rings and Control Spires to enslave Digimon, then face later threats such as Arukenimon and BlackWarGreymon.

   After Ken joins them, the group confronts Yukio Oikawa and MaloMyotismon, leading to a final battle that results in children worldwide gaining the ability to partner with Digimon.

   In a networked society centered on smartphone applications, middle school student Haru Shinkai receives an Appli Drive and partners with the search app Appmon, Gatchmon. Haru and other App Drivers work with their Appmon to counter Leviathan, an artificial intelligence that corrupts apps and uses Appmon to influence the digital infrastructure and people.

   They gather the Seven Code Appmon, journey into the digital domains behind the app systems, and confront Leviathan's objective of controlling humanity through the network.

   Children including Takuya Kanbara and Koji Minamoto board a mysterious train that carries them to the Digital World, where they do not receive partner Digimon. Instead, they acquire Spirits that allow them to become Digimon based on the Legendary Warriors and oppose Cherubimon and other antagonists who have destabilized the world's structure.

Marcus and his teammates investigate Digimon appearing in human cities, confront the scientist Kurata who seeks to destroy Digimon, and uncover the truth about Marcus's father's earlier journey to the Digital World.
